This was a fun little game and I enjoyed the good manoeuvrability that you were able to create. It was a little hard to see the turret bullets at times, and it wasn't always clear if I was going to take damage leaving the hangar. I also would've loved a time trial mode to bring out the competitor in me - but overall all, great job!

Hey! I love the vibes of your game. Happy to see so many people learning Godot too! I just started learning it a couple weeks ago, and I really love it so far.
The only feedback I have for your game is to add an indicator to the edge of the world. I think I went outside the bounds and it just started killing me and I didn't really know why.
Your game was really cool though! The destroyed spaceship is a fun environment to fly around in. I think your anti-grav effects were done really well. The music is pretty nice too and definitely has space adventure vibes. Good job!
This was a very unique game, I haven't seen something like this before where you propel yourself forward using bullets, it adds a nice twist to the gameplay. The music was relaxing to listen to and I could sit here and just listen to it for a while. Good work!

A great game that shows what gravity is. Theme is not matching well but I like this.

Very fun physics-based game ! I liked the graphics music and mood which fit nicely.
With adding some gameplay elements (bonuses to improve the gun, bouncy walls), it can do a super fun mobile game.
Well done ;)
This was a very cool game! I liked the concept of using gunfire to travel a lot. I would suggest you change the way controls work when you're upside down, cause that can get confusing. Also, I think it might be good to somehow limit your ammo or firing speed, cause you can just fly through the game if you shoot fast enough. Great job though!

Fun idea of using the gun to propel yourself. Didn't realise there were mag boots until I checked the controls after completing it. It wasn't always clear as to why you're taking damage though (other than being hit by turrets).

@blazejmg917 We actually had an entire jetpack that we scrapped because it made the game even more trivial! In testing we also 100% used the gun as a jetpack to speed run too haha. With a little more time to test and polish I probably would've added some torque when you fire the gun so that it's not quite so easy to use for movement.
Regarding the controls, we also tried rotating the camera with the player but it was a tradeoff between the level moving all the time (and with the character sometimes oscillating that got sickening) or the controls being inverted. If we were able to *really* nail down the character rotation I think we'd go back to the camera rotating too, but as-is I think a static camera was the better option.
Thank you for the feedback and happy to hear you enjoyed it!

@oller125 Yeah the seemingly random damage is something we could've spent more time on. The damage is actually caused when you're in direct sunlight. Ideally it would've served as both a gameplay mechanic (where you try to consciously stay out of the sun when moving across gaps) and as a de facto level boundary. It's definitely clear to us that this was not clear to the players. Great feedback and thanks for playing!
Neat game. Shooting to propel yourself around felt good. I didn't realise there were keyboard controls until I checked at the end though. Not rotating the screen with the player was the right choice. I would be sick within a minute if it rotated.

Very well thought out gameplay design and the level guide was great, not lost at all. I noticed the shell casings left behind and the floating astronauts, which is really humorous. Great job!

- It was quite interesting, I played the entire game with just left click. - It was hard to see the enemies and what they were shooting at you, seemed to have similar sprite to the players shoot shell.
A cozy little game. Only problem I had is that it's hard to dodge the bullets.

Nice physics-based platformer! At first I tried playing with what I thought was the intended mode of movement, i.e. magboots, rotation and jumping, but I did find that rather slow and bit difficult to precisely control. The gun-thruster mode was very fun, though - my favourite moment was probably the larger section with several turrets where I could disable the magboots, fly in and shoot the turrets a couple of times before the force propelled be back into cover.
The sunlight damage caught me by surprise, too, but after a moment I did figure out what it was. Maybe having some sort of icon when you're exposed to sunlight would work better to inform the player what is going on. Another thing you might consider is making the first section where you encounter it a bit more shielded, especially at the end - so you move through the sunlit area, but the landing zone is in shadow. First time I played through that part I was still trying to use just the magboot jumping, and once I got to the landing area I tried to rotate quickly in panic so I could enable my magboots while still taking damage.
And one small thing - it would be nice to have a full screen mode. Usually in games where you use this sort of weapon targeting system I move the mouse as far away as possible to give the best precise control, but in windowed mode with unconstrained mouse cursor that causes me to accidentally click outside of the game window. And since the game doesn't pause when that happens, it can be deadly. :P
I also liked the way it looks and sounds. All the sprites are clear and you can easily tell what is what. The slowly rotating floating boxes really added to the atmosphere of the game. And the music does reinforce the being stranded in space theme.
It's a cool entry, I can see a lot of potential in it. The physics system works great, so it can be used to do some fun things, both for puzzle-platforming and for some action segments. I hope you keep working on it after the jam. :)
