This game really grabbed my attention when I played it, and I stuck with it till the end!
The balance between attacking and holding up a defence is very good. Collecting your dropped batteries is an original mechanic, and also breaks up the otherwise monotony of only beating enemies.
Speaking of which, the enemies are well thought out. Diverse, tough but fair. Those eagles are a real threat when parashuting. Thankfully you can abort the descent prematurely. The boss was indeed a boss! I had to figure out the way to gain more height (won't spoil too much :).
In alsmost all aspects a very good game! (be sure to rate others to get noticed more okay?)

This was an interesting take on the theme, I liked that the batteries powered your attacks and your defense.

Great game. Died at room 6.
Cleverly designed (and humorous) use of the theme. The dash does indeed feel very nice - good job with that! One aspect of the design that is a bit annoying is how you always start at the top of the map, but you have no ability to attack downwards. On crowded levels this very often means you have to take a hit before you can start playing the level.

Very neat, I like the movement systems a lot. The batteries was very unique as well. The characters remind me a lot of Number Crunchers. A few levels made it unavoidable to take a few hits on your way down.
I think the most interesting enemy was the spiked one. Even in the stage with just 4 running around you had to pay attention to their timing and also spacing so that you didn't accidentally punch right into the spikes of another one, should definitely look into having more of those kinds of elements. The controls are tight and you never feel like you died a cheap death because the levels and enemy movement patterns are all reasonable, or it was your fault you ran out of ammo.
Sidenote, I liked your story about last second coding. I've been there before and it's funny when you realize typing speed ACTUALLY matters at that point.

No chance for a Mac or Linux build? :-)
I dunno, the code for transitioning in and out of the last scene really lacks polish. Two stars.
Actually, on the note of the boss: I wasn't aware that wall jumping existed until I spent ages bashing my head against the spikes.
Excellent graphics and a fun core mechanic. It's very satisfying to punch through a few enemies at once. I think the sound could use a bit more kick...or punch as it were...but it isn't bad.
The spike enemies just kind of suck. You already can't touch the other enemies, so the only difference with the spiky ones is that you can't punch them under certain circumstances. They don't present a huge challenge, but they do tend to be left for last. This meant that there were a few times in which I was standing there waiting for them to turn around. This is a minor complaint, but the overall design was very solid so it really stood out.
Excellent entry!
I love the dash mechanics! And the audio was simple but effective.

I love the feel of the dash mechanic! Those strange bunny enemies are slightly terrifying, but I'm sure that's what you were going for! :P
I'd love to play this on a gamepad with a little more polish; setting up individual levels with unique layouts and puzzles would really elevate the already-great controls! Great job!

Hi ! Cool arcade game that you've made once again!the game mechanic is very smart and enjoyable, player control and moves are really smooth. The game difficulty is well balanced, maybe is it a bit easy compared to some of your previous games but it keeps the fun intense so that's a great thing. The theme is well exploited through the dash/energy system and keeps the player active. Reading the comments, I can see that I was not aware of the wall jumping too, so I killed the boss using the hit feedback from the jumping monster, that was quite fun and unexpected :) everything is kept simple but efficient, such as enemies moves and design. The losing screen reminds me some old game I think but i can't figure out what it is ! No music but cool sfx, clear and smooth game design, very fun to play ! Well done !

This is really well done! The mechanics are excellent - challenging but not impossible, and very satisfying when you can line up a bunch of enemies for one dash (not to brag but I managed to get two birds and a spike-turtle thing in one shot just now). The parachuting-in thing is a clever way to give you a few seconds to get the lay of the land. Nice work!
Dashing might be my favorite mechanic, it's always so satisfying. Really fun arcade-y game! Didn't realize I could wall jump until the last level (although it was never needed before that). Graphics have a nice unique look to them. Good entry!
Very fun game. The movement mechanics are quite good, and the dash is very satisfying when you get a hit. I didn't realize you could wall jump until I read someone else's comment, but when I went back and played it again, I liked that mechanic as well. Graphics are very nice, and I especially like the 'clink' sound when you hit the back of the porcupine. The only suggestion I would make is that all the enemies feel very similar, especially in the brownish color scheme.
The animations are very well done and the game feels especially crisp to play. Good job!

You had a very creative take with the batteries falling out. I really dig it. It was fun to keep dashing and I was satisfied with the mechanic. Got a little repetitive since there was no variation in the room and sometimes it would fill up with just jumping enemies. But it was still a lot of fun. Got to the last stage and was able to dashfist Larry David. Good job!
Game was fun, not sure why a ninja is beating up random animals but it was pretty funny anyway. Sound effects were nice (Most games on here don't seem to put any sound in at all). Good job 🏂🏂
first game i've played that i've had a lot of fun with. cheers, thanks for a good game
Stumbled upon your game after seeing a reddit thread of pixel art vs vector art. I think the vector style is working pretty well for you, overall it looks pretty good, the main character especially. I liked the progression of seeing the different enemies. It gets more fun as you go on. Feels like their should be combos for getting multiple enemies in one dash somehow. Good work
Haha! You've done a good work here! :0) Haha! Thank you for your nice game! It was great that I caould start from the place where I was killed! haha! And great timelapse! :0) That was really great!
Thank you for your game! haha! :0)

I really like the gameplay and mechanics of this one. The controls feel just fun to play with, and being able to recover from hits by collecting the batteries is a really smart mechanic. I love the fact that the length of your dash depends on how many batteries you currently have.
I just wish there was more polish, like particle effects when moving and dashing, and a more powerful effect when hitting enemies with the dash. The first time I completed a level, I thought I died, because it's just an abrupt cut to the next level. Some tweens and screenshake would certainly improve it.
Fantastic game. I got stuck on the final boss, but over all it's pretty good

I loved the battery loss/gain mechanic at play here, really well implemented. I died a bunch of times but the levels are so fast and quick to restart that I had no problem sticking it through to the end.
If I had one bit of feedback about the final boss it's that it's not necessarily made clear earlier in the game that you can jump off walls to gain the necessary height. Maybe a level or two earlier that have platforms with enemies on them that can only be reached by jumping off the walls.. some way of teaching through gameplay that it's possible, for players who didn't instinctively test for wall jumping from the start.
Anyway, with more levels, polish and development I would readily pay 10-15 bucks for a game like this on Steam. Great job.

Whee, nice compo entry! I really enjoyed the fighting mechanic, and discovering how the different enemies behave! To put the player into the game with a parachute is so clever! Lots of nice sprites, interesting menu even! :) The sounds got a bit repetitive after a while.
This feels very round and polished, and I also could see an extended version of this being widely popular! Good job!

My best is 2:34. Protip: kill birds when you are going down in order to kill them quickly. Really good game, the gameplay is good and the dounds are great! I loved also the controls, they are tight enought! KEep up the good work! :)
I would have played if there was a Linux / Mac OS / Web version available.
I love this one. The mechanic is really cool, and you executed it well. I honestly think you could turn the dashing mechanic into its own full game if you did it right. I would have LOVED to see this game with a ton of polish, I think it would turn out really amazing.
