Overall this was a fun game with great art! Spawn rate though is to slow meaning there is a lot of waiting around.

Cool game. The graphics are juicy, one splash screen is just super. The animation is good. All that you see and hear in it is done on a good and very good level. But there are also problems, such as the speed of playing the animation (add you at least 1-2 frames, not new ones, but simply extend), hit boxes a little more and (subjectively) make the target display instead of a mouse on the screen or be, deer antlers, it would be much more convenient to aim. And so great fellows.

@sockyman Thank you very much for the feedback ! Yes, the game is really well out of the way, sorry for this.

The pixel art was fantastic. It was a little slow to start and I did notice an issue with the shots not lining up with the mouse exactly. But otherwise I enjoyed it. Good job!

lubfotpig 2019-05-01 01:59

The art and music were great. I did have a few issues with the mechanics though. As someone already pointed out, the shots don't seem to fire at the cursor unless it is directly above or below the character. Someone also mentioned replacing the mouse with a target, I second that. I would also recommend adding something that shows where the enemies are coming from because I found it hard to get to the other side of the building quickly enough to stop them.

Nice! Cooler than expected. I like that I could win. I really like the portrait graphic and the credits screen. There was too little enemies to really ever use the aoe attack. Plus I wish each type of enemy was more different. Also attacking from the side didn't always register which was sometimes frustrating. But I loved how the enemy at times decided to ignore me and went for the base. I'd love this game with for example a whole village and villagers to defend for more drama. The pickup sound was very satisfying! Music was also very nice.

Really solid game, good job! There are many enemies come to destroy your house, you must cast magic to kill them. But pay attention, while you cast magic, you cost HP instead of MP! After you kill them, you will have chance to heal yourself. Try you best to protect your house, as long as possible.

Good game with good graphics and audio. The shots do not line up with the mouse, though, and I also noticed that at time, I could see the next enemy on the screen but could not shoot them as they were not yet active. This is quite unfair in a game where I spend life to be able to shoot.

wigner-matos 2019-05-15 00:50

@james-dunlap Thank you very much for the feedback ! Sorry for what happened, this problem has already been corrected in the new version.

wigner-matos 2019-05-15 00:59

@rayriver Thank you very much for the feedback ! That's a great suggestion.

wigner-matos 2019-05-15 01:05

@wojciech Thank you very much for the feedback ! Forgiveness for problems during your experience. In fact, they are great suggestions, some of them really wanted to implement, but ended up not giving time.

wigner-matos 2019-05-15 01:07

@logicon211 Thank you very much for the feedback ! Glad you enjoyed and forgiven the problems during your experience. Thanks for playing !

wigner-matos 2019-05-15 01:14

@lubfotpig Thank you very much for the feedback ! Yes, the game has many problems, we have corrected most of them in the new version, but even so, I apologize for the problems encountered during your experience.

wigner-matos 2019-05-15 01:19

@max-torn Thank you very much for the feedback ! The game really got a lot of problems, I ended up not being able to correct them in time. However, most of them have been arranged in the new version, which we will launch when the voting period is over.

Is it possible to play the game from itch.io? I'm looking for the link (maybe the site has changed).

somogy 2019-05-15 15:12

Nice theme!

wigner-matos 2019-05-15 20:51

@somogy Thank you very much for the feedback !

wigner-matos 2019-05-15 20:58

@gustavo-christino Yes, is possible ! I just checked the link and it still works normally :/. I really do not know what it may be, sorry for what happened.

gustavo-christino 2019-05-15 21:00

@wigner-matos... Now it's possible. Maybe your team was updating the game page.

Cool sound :) I like the main menu, clean and well made. It's a pity that the enemies go directly to the hut, it's hard to stop them that way if you are on the other side of the map, and you can't see them on the minimap. The map is large, but you need to stay on a realy short range around the hut because the ennemies come too fast.

ectucker1 2019-05-16 00:37

Love all the details in this game, the splash effects, walking particles, player animations, etc. It all fits very well together. There were a couple translation issues that made the introduction a bit hard to understand, but I figured out what was going on. Very fun; nice work.

My favorite entry so far, congratulations for pulling out such a polished and fun game ! Something could perhaps be done with the player's movement, like losing life when moving but being rewarded by doing so (enemy that use ranged attack the player must go to). I also agree on the fact ther's too much waiting, bu still, the result is impressive :)

I really liked the art on this project. The character design, especially the portrait, is very appealing! It's fun to play too. I started trying to kite enemies around the house to conserve my shots, which was a fun challenge in itself. I did lose track of the mouse cursor sometimes, which might be a color blindness thing. A higher contrast icon would help. Also, the camera shake is a little heavy. Great job overall, though! There's a lot in here for such a short timeframe.

Evaluation...

1 - Mechanics and Learning: Understanding the mechanics was simple, running the mechanics was challenging. It was not long before I understood how attacking and attacking worked in the area. Unfortunately the minimap did not seem to work perfectly (or it might have depended on the character being turned to the right side for the creatures to appear on the minimap (perhaps creating temporary objects to keep the view of the place in line with the shaman idea and solving the minimap situation) ).

2 - Flow: The game is in waves, so he was climbing the difficulty as I learned the mechanics of my character, the intelligence of the enemies and playing as a whole; I think it's balanced (as I lost after a few waves, I think there might be some way to restore some things, or even create traps etc).

3 - Narrative and Polishment: The narrative was excellent, and all presented within the game. The graphic polishment was very good (on a big screen the letters get lost a little, but this is more of my problem, I decided to use a big screen for today's games). The background music was good for jam time and the sound effects were medium (great for jam time, suggestion to review for jam post).

4 - Culture: The narrative is totally cultural and refers to certain real situations, so this already attracts the eyes to a certain niche; the community generation of players can be linked to this (and maybe a page for the game on Facebook, if you ask me).

5 - Monetization: I believe that the game would sell in some store, if the part of waves was something from time to time and he was a traveler that passed in several villages around the world helping, maybe he could conciliate the mechanics of waves with something deeper and not only in the style "action". I think I would value it a lot (it's just as an impression I had based on art and everything).
