The weblink doesn't work! :(

dirkinz 2017-08-02 15:41

I'll second that the web link is broken. The windows version isn't though and that was a pretty solid entry. The zombies made some rather unsettling noises and that's a good thing. I do have a couple little tips for you though. First I would recommend you add a screenshot to this page. Second, all the zombies are running on the same animation timer it seems. Perhaps you could assign them each a random animation frame to start at when they spawn, that way they all look a little more different.

Unfortunately, your weblink gives a 404 error and, since I have a Mac, I can't download the zip file & play your game that way. Please let me know when you update the link, as I'd like to play it! :)

The web version doesn't work, but I ran the Windows version. My high score was about 35-40 zombie kills and 2 jerrycans of fuel. The fuel was a bit difficult to find, and I usually died from running out of power. That fits with the theme though, so I guess that's good! If I spent some more time, I could probably have memorized the jerrycan spawn locations.

Thank you everyone for your comments, ill try to fix the weblink, and yes im aware that the zombies are running on the same animation, i didnt have time to think of a solution to be honest as this is my first game so i had aloot of other issues that i gave priority to, i might spend some more time on the game just for the fun of it to try and make it better. plus i learned alot of things while making it. Thank you all for your ratings, it means alot.

Your game looks incredibly nice, with great models and animations. But, at the same time, is very generic. It doesn't do anything new or special with its mechanics.

Weblink fixed. apparently i forgot to set it to public XD.

Interesting entry - the models and textures look nice, some more animation (of vegetation), and maybe particle system could make even better.

I also feel this is missing some kind of backstory and possibly happy ending (or maybe you can win it, but I died each time I tried, although I'm quite a noob).

So having done this same Unity Survival Shooter tutorial and seeing that you just re-skinned it I'd have to say that you could have done better. I did like that you added the mechanic of refueling the generator though.

- player movement seem a bit buggy - graphics of the game is very good - animation of zombies and player is good - nice Entry

almax 2017-08-08 20:27

Lack of camera relative movement makes this game unplayable :(

valphera 2017-08-14 11:21

Too bad that you don't really explore new mechanics in the gameplay, It would have been fine if it was a little more engaging, with a little lore or something. I was just shooting zombies in a desert with no motivation.

jamie-mcclenaghan 2017-08-18 20:55

I like the idea of the game. Unfortunatley there is some bugs. The gun would continue to fire without being clicked and the player would sometimes walk even though im not moving the player. If you had more time i feel this game would be awesome

garethjenkins 2017-08-19 10:58

Some issues with the WebGL version resolution scale -- seems to project at slightly larger than the viewport size.

pavel-kouril 2017-08-19 12:22

The controls are weird. I cannot tell you _why_, but they feel really weird. Has something to do with the rotations etc. :/

Other than that, the game really feels like just a tutorial put together with few models you downloaded.

The web-link works for me. The game gave me nausea. Probably because of the unusual camera positioning and movement control. Nice graphic, and audio effects. Well done for 72h.
