Love it :)heh

kp-gamedev 2020-10-05 23:00

Pretty good. I like the premise.

archie-evans 2020-10-05 23:21

Aww man, this is really cool - did make my sleep depraved brain a bit dizzy though!

mumaitron 2020-10-06 10:59

Very cool idea, made it to a few planets and found it fun, needed to get caught by te sun 2 times before realizing how to play but when you know what you are doing is fun, good job!

nema 2020-10-06 11:02

Really cool, the whole setting is such a vibe! The only thing that bothered me a little was the small view/foresight you have on your currend planet. Overall great! :)

gelgavish 2020-10-06 11:13

ally like this game, there is something about flying in super high speed that makes everything better :) My suggestion to improve the game is making the camera a little bit higher and not directly behind the ship because it can get really nasuating when spinning around a planet

Nice job! :)

kaisenthegreatone 2020-10-06 14:51

Made my brain explode, great job. The music is just right :D I really love the "warp speed" effects. How about multiple spacecrafts to choose from? :D

akmon 2020-10-06 15:15

Very solid and nice experience. I just lost many times don't knowing why

baptiste-figeac 2020-10-06 16:50

Really nice game ! Loved your artistic direction :)

krzyksztof 2020-10-06 17:12

Really cool game, nice music, In my opinion great game :)

r3l0ad1 2020-10-06 18:44

This is such a cool game! It plays really well and I love the warp effect, great job! Like @gelgavish said, raise the camera a little bit as it is nauseating to have it so close to the planet

2020-10-06 21:00

Wow, I really enjoyed it! Especially, I like the the voice at the end that says “stuck in the loop” 🤣 Super high speed is cool! Great job guys!

paulhudson 2020-10-07 08:37

@kaisenthegreatone Thank you for feedback! We are glad that you like it :) Yeah we will add more spacecrafts after the competition ✌

henry-du 2020-10-07 08:54

Wow. I had a very similar idea but my team scrapped it. :( Amazing to see it executed well!

meek-bits 2020-10-07 08:54

Cool arcade idea for implementing the theme! Enjoyed it.

tangomango 2020-10-07 14:04

Amazing! I love the art style! I got a bit dizzy but your team did a good job! It would be a top seller if you put it on steam haha

eldogg 2020-10-07 17:26

Cool music track, really suited the fast pace of the game. Awesome sense of speed when flying about.

robowarrior1982 2020-10-07 18:52

I like the concept and the visuals effect, but it's difficult to play correctly for me, After a few moment the speed increase and with the blur effect i can't make correct move and i just take the bonus randomly, maybe if the planet was bigger with a different camera angle will better, otherway it's beautifull but too difficult to play. gtyu.png

marakesz 2020-10-07 18:54

thanks for feedback we will make adjustments

revetoon 2020-10-07 18:59

cool visuals, I loved how the planet looked different from one another. The increasing speed make me a bit dizzy tho. I loved jumping from planets to planets even tho I often forgot to go opposite to the sun and end up dying :)

fancyreckless 2020-10-07 19:05

Nice game, I like how you used space travel and combined with simple game concept. Graphics are quite nice, however I did feel a bit dizzy while flying over a planet, I believe that might be an issue for some people. Sometimes it's easy to miss the planet, but with some practice this problem dissapears. Overall besides some easily fixable details, it's a fun atmospheric game and I totally see potential for it to grow.

initialposition 2020-10-07 22:09

Heya :D

I played this in my livestream today. You can rewatch my reaction here: https://youtu.be/XGmb_ZrYFFo?t=2014

Damn that sun is scary :D

marakesz 2020-10-07 22:29

HEheh nice gameplay. Thanks for constructive feedback :)

elpadlos 2020-10-08 09:24

It's beautiful. I wish you good grades and results in jam. Very well done. Thank you for this game and gaming experience!

wolfier 2020-10-08 20:46

I like the concept but there are a few things that I found annoying.

The sun is faster then you in space making it effectively impossible to try to outrun it.

You have absolutely no idea where the sun is at the start so you could screw yourself by exiting in a direction where the sun is. The light is not an indicator of where the sun is.

Objects on planets should be less common if you are going to force the player to rotate at the speed the game goes, it would also make more sense for them to have you drop items when you hit them instead of health since they aren't there to be the main threat.

paulhudson 2020-10-08 21:00

@wolfier Thank you for a detailed feedback!

noam-blei 2020-10-08 22:04

I think this would be nice as a mobile game

tostada 2020-10-08 22:06

its a fun game i can see my self playing this for hours on end, i wish it had sound but the concept and gameplay was entertaining, so overall a pretty good game.

marakesz 2020-10-09 07:04

Thanks for feedback. I think that we have great music and sound FX made by Krzysztof :)

paulhocker 2020-10-10 04:56

i really like the idea of this game but i found the controls to be a little off. more time to react on the surface would have helped. very good game.

week-of-the-agents 2020-10-13 10:01

Almost not laggin. Almost...

f1krazy 2020-10-13 10:35

Took me a few goes to figure out the controls and how to get to the next planets, but once I did I found this to be a very fun and enjoyable experience, with a unique gameplay loop (no pun intended). The graphics and general atmosphere are very good. One little tweak I'd suggest would be making the death animation end faster, so you're not staring at a white screen for several seconds before you can continue.

mateusboga 2020-10-13 12:32

I had a hard time understanding that you had to press space to recharge steering, that caused me to die a couple times. This game is hard, but yea you get the hang of it eventually. It was also kinda hard to understand what was obstacles and what was pickups, maybe a halo to differenciate the pickups? Overall, nice entry!

marakesz 2020-10-13 12:58

Good score ;) !!

ltyrosine 2020-10-19 14:34

Nice graphics here, models, colors, all in place. Font is sometimes a bit hard to read but this is a minor issue.

Gameplay idea is cool and original and a proper theme usage by being stuck in the planets.

However, the overall experience is somewhat hindered by the controls and overall game speed. From here it looks like a case of fine tuning some settings on movements, scales and even the sun velocity.

Overall is an impressive accomplishment for the limited time frame.

superunknown 2020-10-19 15:18

The graphics, modeling, worlds and overall feel to this game are excellent. I also really like the idea of planet jumping to avoid the sun. I really wanted to like this game, but ultimately I found it frustrating. It takes a while before you realize what the bonuses are for. I felt like after leaving a planet it was much too difficult to find another one. If you have 2 sets of wings, maybe you can line one up...no wings or even 1 set and it was almost impossible. Perhaps provide more time to turn without wings, make the wings last longer or ensure that every planet has at least 1 set of wings to pickup. Also, it was difficult to determine when to jump planets. Perhaps if the ship was a bit slower on planet, you could line it up better. I hope yall iterate on this after the jam though because I think it could be a great game...perhaps mobile?

nikolaj 2020-10-19 16:12

Great job on this! It is very similar, but the inverse of our game!! Great minds think alike!

hunttis 2020-10-19 16:14

The game looks and sounds fantastic, but for some reason, the blur-effect kills performance on my machine :(

Once that happens, the game becomes nigh uncontrollable and I can't get much more than a few hundred points of score.

trexxak 2020-10-20 01:36

okayy this was way more than I anticipated! Can't imagine how many hours must've been spent on the different planets assets alone!

Like others said, it's hard at the beginning to make out what exactly it is you are supposed to do (except escaping the sun), but after a while you get the hang of it.

Incredible job for a jam game!

paulhudson 2020-10-20 08:46

@ltyrosine @superunknown @nikolaj @hunttis @trexxak

Thank you, guys for such a nice feedbacks! We are glad that you like our graphic, music and common idea. Yeah we understand, that we have some things to fix, and we have plans to do it after LD 47. (and maybe make the mobile game 🙂)

Also = Remember, that the parachutes can slow down your spaceship on planets. (Description of Boosters and Obstacles is in the Tutorial)
