LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Web of Lies by Ava Skoog 2022-04-20T18:10:00Z

I really liked the music and the interviewer animations. Sadly, there is no hope to win.

Island Management by Pete 2022-04-20T18:06:05Z

Tried to figure out for ourselves what was going on and failed miserably. Energy consumption/production balance seems interesting, but please make the game more transparent to players.

TidyHomebound by me4502 2022-04-21T06:49:38Z

Hi! Liked the idea, but a bit depressive. Being a stay-at-home mum I'm constantly thinking of making such a game myself) You should have added a spoon slot to make games in all that mess:)

Cyber Revolution 2789 by godsboss 2022-04-20T18:58:00Z

Nice, but events are too random.

Sabotage by ChicoMCastro 2022-04-21T10:12:42Z

Nah, the input delay just got me angry) And the robots stick together when they chase you. Although I liked the idea of dodging slow-mo bullets coming from different directions and with different speed.

First Contact by Tudvari 2022-04-20T17:33:48Z

Oh, wow, I like this kind of game where you should figure out what to do! "Can I go into the water? Apparently not. Oh, rocks, what can I do with them. Maybe toss it into the wate...ahh, it's rising!" I climbed up the highest point and watched the boat emerging from the cabin, it was wonderful. Couldn't figure out what to do with the chest, though, in web build I didn't get the hint in the upper part of the screen. I downloaded one for Linux, and there was a !gigantic glitching pointer!, I couldn't even start the game with it. Bummer...

First Contact by Tudvari 2022-04-20T19:01:45Z

@tudvari Yes, apparently the "log updated" part was not visible. Since I didn't read the spoilers I didn't know there even was a log:) I absolutely love the idea of playing with terrain and water levels, but maybe you should give the player more cues that something is actually happening. I've spent literally an hour trying to push the boat into the water with rocks, to no avail.

First Contact by Tudvari 2022-04-20T20:08:43Z

@tudvari My problem with the lever was that the aim was off center.

Yes, the top part of the screen is not visible at all when playing the web build on my small laptop.

@tudvari screen resolution 1366x768

Insufficient Supper by greymouth 2022-04-21T14:46:54Z

The game froze on manipulating the steak box for me as well. I tried to play with controller but couldn't figure out how to browse the inventory. Is it a bug? Overall, that's a solid foundation to make a game upon:)

Eat It! by circuitbree 2022-04-21T06:37:10Z

Ok, so you're supposed to give feedback in order to receive one)

I didn't really get the difference between "towers" and "target types", would be nice to have more information. The best strategy was just moving various pens along the way of food.

Riverlands by Salier 2022-04-21T07:13:06Z

Would love to see this idea evolving into a water-managing city-builder, I really liked it! It's not enough to stop the water with dams, right? You need to direct its flow somewhere or your dams will fall down. The water always finds a way, that's true.

The big ADIOS by Tobias Kiehnlein 2022-04-21T14:56:06Z

I think totems don't work. And something's wrong with the dark angels physics, I guess. I enjoyed a lot to repel them with walls, that's extremely satisfying:)

One Last Round by BrielleY 2022-04-21T09:56:56Z

Loved the style and would very much like to play the game...but, seriously, no highlighting for interactable objects in 2022?!! Also the two-bar icon needs some tutorial. Why can't I just throw something at the cat? I have a feeling that I'm supposed to use the second key to open the bird's cage, but it doesn't work that way, so I'm totally confused.

Please don't sleep! by Lana Ro 2022-04-21T14:32:52Z

Yeah, that's soo relatable, someone should have made it:) Very nice, but the Esc key is not a very good choice for web — it switches off the full-screen mode. Also I didn't get anything when energy ran out or when the work bar was full.

Forest Guardian by svemir 2022-04-20T18:32:59Z

Cool dragon

Footprints™ by HopeCorp by Makiling Interactive Arts 2022-04-21T10:40:57Z

Good job! I'm something of an ecohead myself so this game is very relatable. Liked it a lot, I'll give it another go)

Footprints™ by HopeCorp by Makiling Interactive Arts 2022-04-21T14:00:34Z

I think, carbon footprint is inverted in relation to other parameters — it's "bad" to the top, "good" to the bottom, can be confusing at start. Maybe you should flip it for consistency.

Also, it's hard to imagine what's wrong with high health or high happiness) Or low carbon footprint.

Cauldron by Mortiss 2022-04-21T07:32:54Z

@thekrauser "meself" was done on purpose, it was supposed to be a vernacular) Thanks for playing and feedback!

Cauldron by Mortiss 2022-04-21T07:35:08Z

@4ahizon Yep, the inquisitor comes with high fame to round you up for any working potion you give him!

Cauldron by Mortiss 2022-04-21T14:06:06Z

@me4502 @makiling-interactive-arts No tooltips in the book and some ingredients looking similar — that was intentional to introduce at least some sort of a challenge) Now I think it contradicts the general flow of the game. Thank you for your feedback.

Cauldron by Mortiss 2022-04-21T15:17:26Z

@digital-bacon I believe you can close the book by clicking anywhere outside its picture, including the book opening button (I personally coded that, but maybe something went wrong), and also you can use keys (space/A/D) to work with the book.

Cauldron by Mortiss 2022-04-21T15:18:48Z

@nah Yes, we totally need to make the hitboxes for book buttons bigger, thanks for mentioning.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

An Average Day At The Cat Cafe by alexrose 2022-10-09T12:53:54Z

Really cute and well-made, though the difficulty curve is a bit steep, and I couldn't find out where can I get the magazine for ducks. I liked how the light goes through doors and windows and how the atmosphere changes through the day cycle.

Ticktock Tactics by Cral 2022-10-05T14:04:07Z

Ultimate strategy - wait for them to use their seconds and kill them) Nice!

Citri Plays Noirwood by AploveStudio 2022-10-05T12:56:01Z

Cool meta presentation idea!

Panopticon by Blue Pin Studio 2022-10-19T16:55:51Z

I liked the game immensely, it has lots of unique ideas and potential) Wish the main hero had more lives) Great work!

HeartBeat by chromaphase 2022-10-09T13:14:32Z

Nice short game, I really liked the idea but I wish the story could be a bit longer)

Speed Dating Fantasy by ugly_robot 2022-10-05T14:22:22Z

Super fun game, loved it a lot. And it's educational! It teaches speed-reading)

My Rotten Soldier by Misfire_dev 2022-10-05T12:38:46Z

You've got me crying...

In10sects by Mortiss 2022-10-04T17:27:53Z

Web build is fixed:)

In10sects by Mortiss 2022-10-07T08:13:02Z

@zungryware You got our plans for progression right) Thanks for playing!

In10sects by Mortiss 2022-10-18T15:57:17Z

@molpe Thanks for your recording, it means a lot to us! It's an interesting bug (hehe) you caught there, the game was not supposed to restart at all, you just needed to refresh the page to start over.

Boood night by MrHumannn 2022-10-09T13:25:46Z

Nice art and story! Was having some trouble interacting with stuff, but a solid entry nevertheless.

Garden Slime by Amanda Neff 2022-10-05T12:30:32Z

Nice to see them playing with the ball) It's a shame they don't do much else.
