Nice idea of a scrolling platformer. Music got a little bit repetitive though.

My pet parrot absolutely loved the music, it set her off singing and dancing like you wouldn't believe so big points for that

Salute to you for not using any game engine! Well, maybe you could try using one in the next LD.

A lot of elements were unfinished (as you stated) and the music is quite loud so I couldn't give much stars.

I wish to see the game in it's completed form. I'm sure you'll do great!

@iambaangkok I know it sounds silly but 95% of the fun for me is not the game, it's everything else that goes into it (art, sound, physics, animation, etc). I've looked at unity and unreal before, but they feel too hands off.

I have written a rudimentary game engine in c++, but I abandoned that years ago. My current thought is to write a new one using JS and WebGL (JS has come so far in the last 5 years!).

This entry wasn't entirely from scratch though, I did start off using my game loop (https://github.com/HineSite/game-loop-basics/blob/master/js/GameLoop.js). Far from a game engine though...

@caladrius lol If you didn't already, now you know your parrot likes bad music!

It was my first attempt at making any kind of music and I sort of did it on a whim Saturday afternoon when I wanted a little break. I had never used LMMS before either, so I really didn't expect it to be as good as it is (which I understand is loud and repetitive. Oh well...).

The movement was a little wonky but it just meant that I was able to have much longer jumps haha! Nice job getting everything done without using anything super complicated! I'm really bad at platformers so I couldn't get very far at alll

Overall, well done :3
