Interesting game, I couldn't win and softlocked a couple times- the sensitivity on the catapult was really hard to control.

Extra credit for adding the "Wilhelm scream"! I think the power could have been toned down a bit.

Took me a little bit to figure out the game play. I really enjoyed the sound effects.

deruitda 2023-10-03 01:59

The catapult is very hard to control, I ended up closing myself in a few times and was left with no choice but to refresh the page

Interestingly fun game! Screams took me by surprise.

mar-zockmeister 2023-10-03 02:04

Haha, funny game. A reload button and an in-game mouse cursor would be cool. But overall nice little game.

Didn't fully understand the game at first, but once I god the idea it was definitely fun to play! Elon should fund this game.

Any game where you fight Elon Musk as the final boss gets a seal of approval from me. I also got softlocked a few times. There were a couple times also where one alien was stuck at half heath and all my projectiles kept flying through it. Eventually I killed it though. Overall 5/5 humor.

LOL the 3rd game I played in this Ludum Dare with Elon Musk.

Like the voice dubbing. Huge potential for making some frenzy otomads with it.

What could be better than shooting people from a catapult? Not in the real world, of course. A very fun game!

don-fouts 2023-10-03 15:46

Interesting take on the theme. As others have said controlling the catapult was difficult. I think some sort of aiming indicator would have helped. I found that the easiest way to win was to aim straight into the air, hold my mouse in one spot and throw people straight up until I made a tower of people. Overall nice entry.

Probably the goofiest game I've played during this jam, great job  Would've loved a restart button somewhere as I was soft-locked during my first playthrough but luckily managed to beat the game during my second playthrough.

This was fun, quick and enjoyable, nice visuals, and awesome start and end screen, great artwork. Things that could be added, is ofcourse all the additional mechanics that one doesnt have the time to implement during this, im also thinking that something like the different people you throw have different "bounce" effects, like someone sticks on impact some bounce once before stick and such, for some added difficulty and diversity in how you build your human tower.

Great work =)

hinesite 2023-10-04 14:21

@underlig That is a great idea! We did originally want different effects, but we didn't even have time to consider what those might be. This one was extra rough switching to a new game engine, but I don't have to tell you how that goes...

zoeek 2023-10-04 21:00

I enjoyed shooting things at Elon

frozenfire92 2023-10-07 12:31

What a funny entry! The concept is solid, but the controls were very difficult  Those dang space cars were hard to shoot down. Keep on making games!

donvermo 2023-10-12 18:14

The game was a bit hard to control, it seemed like the catapult was not the point of origin from which you fired? Then it wasn't immediately obvious either as to how you could influence the angle. The humor was there though and that did give me a chuckle.

egormnc 2023-10-14 14:48

The game is interesting, it was quite nice to play it, keep working on it and everything will be cool

recher 2023-10-16 15:56

Completely weird and WTF. I loved it ! Especially the sound of launched people ! A curve showing the preview of the people trajectory (at least at the first levels) would have been nice.

People are a little too "sticky", but I guess it's part of the game rules. I ended like this:
