You have a good idea and a good execution, but to be honest i think the game was a little hard. Maybe if we could add commands before the robot starts to move it would be more fun.

I really like the idea and it's well presented with some funny dialog.

It is SO hard, though! It would be good if there was a way to pause the game while you queue up your next set of moves because calculating how many steps there are before the next action while entering commands as the robot simultaneously executes commands is super, super difficult.

Of course, it may very well be hard by design and I'm just bad at it! Good job!

Great game! It's really innovative, pretty fun and challenging, and has some great graphics. The story was good too! I actually thought of the while loop idea too, but I didn't think there was a good way to implement it. You did it perfectly! Well done!

Fun little game with nice pixel art. The interpretation of the theme was cool and the core gameplay mechanics were nice. However controlling the robot in realtime with keyboard became frustrating really fast. All in all good job!

Game looks great and beginning cinematic is awesome :)

It's a bit hard to figure out controls at first. It took me a while and during that time I went off the level. I think wall was missing. IMO it would be much more intuitive to make it turn based, but I guess you can't stop the loop as robot.

Thanks!

extremly difficult! I mistake right with left so easily, here with object turning I'm lost! Nice graph, there is a moment in the beginning when you see a robot in corridor through the wall, first thought I had that it flies in air... and good sound! Feel sorry for the robot, couldnt release it!

Wow that’s very original ! The isometric view is a bold choice, it works fine. I loved the humor behind the game, and felt emphatic for this little robot friend haha. It’s very hard to make your way but I guess it goes with the theme of your game ;) Oh and the sound design is very cool, good job on that too !

Fantastic game. I don't know if I've just had a string of great games or if I'm just in a great mood but you got all 5's from me my friend. I love the robot, he's adoable. I'd love to see a set / execute option but that's litterally it.

Ah, i love the ending! Really neat take on the theme, I like how you need to set the controls in realtime. The artwork is adorable, and I love the robot. Great job all around!

Interesting approach to the jam theme. I really like the art style and the audio works well with the look. Nice work.

Cool idea with some good graphics. It is a fun take on the theme. There was a little bug in the start where the shady guy was on top of the ui but that is just a small thing. If i would change something i would say that the sound of moving started to annoy a little bit after a while. maybe make some variation or not play it as often ?

Great idea, and I think the loop mechanic is well executed. However my robot did not seem to interact with the map? It would float through the electrical cabinets and it could drive off the map. But then sometimes it would bump into one of the belts/tables? This made it very hard to play the game for me :(

pedrohph 2020-10-09 04:29

Good idea! It's hard to manage the robot and player must be careful or will make mistakes. Liked it

Very nice entry, even more for a first entry (if i can trust you "games" section ^^)

Audio is a bit harsh but graphics are nice and dialogue are funny and beep-boopy.

Very well, continue like this.

This game feels so close of becoming solid. It would only have needed some minor adjustments here and there. The story and artwork are just perfect. I enjoyed watching that flat screen on the wall. 🤗 The sweet robot took only seconds to capture my heart. 😎 I believe you should give it a final polish and then post it to place like itch.to. Here are some suggestions if want to continue developing:

* The robot was sliding over the platform. I had the feeling I didn’t control the robot * Instead of using a keyboard to set the next commands, you could add mouse interaction where you can click the next commands. This could be more intuitive * Creating higher resolution of the characters when a dialog is taking place (RPG Style). This would create more emphasis for your robot. You could create then specific emotions when he is talking 🤖

Nice entry, keep up the good work!

Very interesting work, like it ))

Wish I had an active pause button, though)

boxcar012 2020-10-17 13:35

Enjoyed concept and thought it was fun but either needs to be slower, add a way to pause or add more steps. It was hard to calculate what step I need to change before robot got to step on was on while the loop was running
