Great Mood and Atmosphere!

magic-mike 2020-10-06 18:11

Awesome mood and atmosphere! Worked nicely despite the simple graphics! Good job ;)

hank-ather 2020-10-06 18:13

Interesting puzzles. I do wish there was a button to speed up text, especially after a few loops of repeated dialogue.

theaxe316 2020-10-06 18:14

Cute game! I liked the different options and that you can get multiple endings (I got the second one). Some sound effects could have made the options feel more engaging, and the option to quickly finish reading text would have made it faster to play. Overall great job on the game, especially the mood.

The atmosphere actually had me freaked out a bit, which is good. As an adventure game, it's a bit simple, and the graphics are strange. Why does the main character walk backwards everywhere? But it's an idea that I can't see myself executing at all, so good work.

sandpile 2020-10-06 18:24

I got the third ending! Fun style, and really moody (wack wack)

tamail 2020-10-06 18:24

Nice little game! My character would get stuck if I pressed E on stuff I've already done (for example, already got the key from the bathroom, if I press E again, my character stops moving), also switching between E and A to choose the first answer was a bit confusing, but otherwise a really nice idea!

Nice atmosphere. The text appears way too slow for something you have to repeat many times. Also a bug - if press e on the bath a second time, there is no text but movement is still locked until you press e again. Some other objects do this too.

rizekcajk 2020-10-06 18:29

Really nice game. The music suits the atmosphere well. Its fun to play, but the text could be written a little bit faster.

toccio94 2020-10-06 19:16

You nailed the atmosphere, the sound was pretty cool. At first I thought it was too small, but the when more rooms opened up I was a bit surprised, it makes the game more compelling and helped the immersion.

The text tho are a bit slow and since you have to go through them a lot of times it's annoying (I did all 3 endings), a way to skip it would have been perfect.

Also, you picked too many buttons, E,A,B, it seemed a bit random. A more cohesive list would have been better. Also, pick buttons that are near each other, like z or x that are more or less a standard if u use the arrow keys to move. If you made the choice for the buttons for a design purpose it is ok , like to disorient maybe, but I didn't get if it was that tbh!

Overall is more polished than I expected, and I had fun with it, nice work!

Very awesome, incredibly well polished game!

guimoliveira 2020-10-09 17:03

Nice game! I was stuck in a loop until I realized that there was a door to the left. I got the three endings. Good job. :)

kohcepba 2020-10-09 17:11

The game is ok, but dialogues text is too slow. I mean it may be to support the mood and set the pacing, I don't know. Just think it may have been better without that typing effect.

arad-hamidsamiee 2020-10-09 18:34

I really got into it, too bad it was a short game, I'd like to see a full version, it was eerie and atmospheric. well done.

kr4ft3r 2020-10-09 23:35

I like the contrast of a big demon in a girls room. Did all three endings.. though the player doesn't get a reward by animation or image or something, the story and the idea of it is good.

Sorry I can't rate games, was too late to submit for LD, if you want to give my browser game a try the link is in my profile text.

aubryman 2020-10-10 11:33

I fully loved the game.

It was a bit buggy on my computer tho. I have a small screen (14") and it did not scale to my screen so I had to adjust my screen setting. In addition, sometimes the arrows keys would stay stuck and my character would not move for a few seconds. And there was a few typos (e.g. Infinitive) but nothing that jumps too much.

I really had fun playing the game! I got the first ending, and I'm going to look for the other two ones, I already got some ideas! Well done!

@guimoliveira @kohcepba @arad-hamidsamiee @kr4ft3r @aubryman Thank u guys! im very glad that you liked the game!

eoshadows 2020-10-17 02:35

Nice game! I liked the graphics, and the music / ambience was great! I think the endings could have been a bit more rewarding / challenging to get (like figuring out a way to trick your friend rather than just interacting with her) but I did like one of the endings. It was grim and strangely satisfying. I also noticed some people had issues with the dialogue speed. I agree it was a bit slow, but generally it wasn't all that annoying. Overall, I liked the game - well done!

ovid 2020-10-18 17:12

Hello, That's a very cool idea! The gameplay is very good, the parallel endings made me play the game 3 times, and the ideas behind the endings are very interesting. The graphic is very simple but looks great, and the music sounds awesome!

p.s. I liked the "sacrifices must be" made reference to one of the last Ludum-Dare jams :)

Good luck!

hicko 2020-10-19 11:44

@eoshadows Thank u for your feedback , for the dialogue speed i wanted to make a button that let the player skip it but i was out of time

hicko 2020-10-19 11:50

@ovid thank you , im glad you liked it! im happy that you figured out the reference !

wizard-sino 2020-10-21 20:11

real fun, but text speed is painfully slow.

ava-skoog 2020-10-26 19:12

Oh, that got real grim… Quite the mood here. Music is very fitting and graphics are nice, fun use of subpixel movements! Short but sweet, cool that you had multiple endings in a jam game. Nice work!
