I have no idea what the logic is in the puzzles; I just walk around on the platforms, and sooner or later, they somehow get solved. So chill, so fun.

A pretty fun atmospheric puzzle! It would be nice to have some counter or indication of how many puzzles need to be found/completed, but it's a lovely game.

medow 2023-10-03 00:29

@peter-niles Thank you so much! To win the game you only need to solve the 5x5 puzzle in the middle of the map. But to do that you'll have to figure out what rules all the runes follow. The puzzle completion lines are mostly there for competitionists

Wow, this was the most relaxing fun I have had in a while. I would consider buying this game if it gets a steam release. Felt incredibly inspired by The Witness to me, with a bit less environmental integration and a more charming art style, though it does get slightly tiring to look at. The puzzles were super fun, I loved how little the game taught me. Took me a few puzzles to notice even the blue dots! The music complemented the atmosphere really well. I got fully stuck at one of the even/odd puzzles and I think it is logically impossible - but maybe my brain is just too small. Nonetheless finished the game, a great experience and I think I will honestly replay this in a week, it had the comfy atmosphere and challenge of solving a Sudoku on a rainy weekend morning. Thank you so much for this experience!

Some suuuper nitpicky points of improvement because I want to help or inspire at least a bit: I wish the symbols were a bit clearer: - The cross communicated its mechanic basically on its own, but especially the "4 or less" and "even/odd" panels kinda looked like nothing at all. - If a puzzle is solved, it would be great if it stayed solved, I triggered the victory fanfare a few too many times on accident. - The beams leading to the central statue kind of imply that they are powering it: I wouldn't have tried solving the final puzzle before finishing all other had I not read your other comment! - Turning the camera is very useful but I would love if it focused a bit on the puzzles while standing on top of it, and maybe had a compass pointing north, as I had to stop to reorient myself frequently when exploring.

@noirox Thank you so so much!! I'm super glad you enjoyed it! There's definitely some The Witness inspiration in there, and I've been wanting to try this art style for some time. Oops yes, there is an unsolvable puzzle there. That one actually blocks access to a challenge puzzle at the top of that mountain so I've uploaded a new version of the game to fix that bug. Thanks for letting me know about it!!

Fun game really enjoyed it. I love the art style and the puzzles. Could of used a few more complicated clues, but besides that it's a really solid game! Good job and congratulations!

Very chill and nice experience, I suck at the puzzles but the noises they make made me want to keep walking over them until they got solved lol. I did eventually figure out how the rune things worked haha

I loved to play this game. I couldn't stop and would seriously consider buying it if it popped up on Steam. Everything felt harmonic. The atmosphere is great, and I love the puzzles. They kept me engaged the whole time. They were adequately challenging. I got stuck on one of them, and @Noirox and I felt like it was impossible to solve. I am uploading this review on the next morning and I am happy to know that the Problem is fixed (Now I HAVE to play it again :D). I still completed the game through some trial and error. The sound of a completed puzzle gave me an ungodly dopamine rush. Some negatives included the fact that the bushes created a lot of visual clutter. It made the game look grainy, and made it hard to look at, especially when turning the camera. The big map and the ability to turn the camera made me feel very disoriented (Minimap would be cool, but I know that it is a lot to ask for a GameJam). Usually, I would just follow the beams back to the central pillar and proceed from there. I also thought that with the very expansive map, the theme of LD54 was not really fulfilled. Tbh I didn´t care too much because the game was just that good. But besides these points, I would love to see a full version of this game! I am wishing you all the best and crossing my fingers for a lot of positive reviews for you! <3

Omg, that last puzzle was very difficult! I couldn't stop playing until finishing it. Really interesting mix of exploration and puzzle solving. Reminds me of how you find out how to solve puzzles in The Witness or Outer Wilds.

The only problem I had was that I couldn't find the small puzzles to figure out the mechanics. A little guidance would've been great for that. But amazing game nonetheless!

yapalot 2023-10-04 04:36

Once I understood the mechanics it was a very fun game. It would be nice to be able to reference the rules of each rune at any location. Super fun tho 10/10

I really liked the vibe! This pixelated filter is really beautiful and atmospheric. The music also really got into me. :) I tried for quite a time but just couldn't figure out the puzzle. But a really curious mechanic! Great job! :)

美术非常优秀,让人感觉很放松

The art style is so unity and harmony! Very excellent pixel style works! Love this so much!

zac-arnold 2023-10-05 23:33

I love the 3D-to pixel art visuals, and the mood of the game is superb. Although, I'm not quite sure how it fits the theme, everything else about the game is very polished and enjoyable.

Cute art!

jakubbala 2023-10-07 02:11

I cant lie, I had no idea what i was doing, but it looked very pretty

teaskyd 2023-10-07 02:14

Very interesting game, i gradually immersed myself into game, liked it. I think the theme can be more closely related, for example the button can be tight to each other that player have to think the order of steps. But nice game!

tetrergeru 2023-10-07 09:07

Great game! Interesting puzzles, and quite many of them! Well done for such a small amount of time, I could easily see it as a complete game

I somehow got stuck in a tree and lost the screenshot of the exact location where :( (playing on linux version)

It would be nice if puzzles would become inactive when solved

konfekt 2023-10-08 20:14

Really fun and a lot of stuff to do considering the short time you had to work with! I got so immersed I spent over 20 minutes :) I enjoyed the freedom of being able to do what I liked & the mystery of being thrown into this world without much explanation. At the same time the non-linearity made it so that I felt a bit like I was solving most puzzles by chance without really understanding what I was doing. It would be nice to balance this to some extent (i.e. maybe a guidebook for the already-solved puzzles/a book that shows you how many puzzles you've yet to solve etc).

fahim-faysal 2023-10-15 17:26

Fun puzzle game that reminds me of the witness. I like how you've managed to teach the rules. Most jam puzzle games struggle with tutorialization(mine included).

The pixelated post processing effect creates a nice artstyle. Reminds me of a short hike but Zelda. The whole island had a relaxing vibe.

Only nitpick is that it's easy to move carelessly and mess up an already fixed puzzle.

Overall a solid entry.

dan-str 2023-10-17 20:19

I found the game incredibly captivating. The concept is truly impressive. Keep up the excellent work, and you'll undoubtedly reach a high level of professionalism

aurailus 2023-10-18 19:23

This game is so ambitious and cool! It feels like a baby The Witness, which in my opinion is one of the best puzzle games I've played. The puzzle mechanics were interesting, and the open world layout was really cool. I found myself getting lost in some places, particularly the left side of the map which felt pretty empty, and there were also some difficulty jumps that I wasn't sure how to get past. But wandering around, I felt a huge sense of accomplishment every time I completed a new puzzle. I think it would be nice if the symbols were a little clearer on the pads. If the pixelation effect was to the geometry to avoid it jittering when the player moves around, that would probably help a lot with clarity. I didn't end up beating the last puzzle because I got stuck on one on the far right, but I plan to try again soon. Despite my critiques, I think this game is super fun, and I'm really impressed that you got it all working in the timeframe. Fantastic entry, scoring this very highly!!!
