cool game my score 11 days
Cool idea, I was kind of confused as to what I was trying to do at first and even after I got some tiles to reappear I still don't know exactly why some clicks would make them appear and some wouldn't, might just be me
Very confusing game, you have to explain when i have to click in a game like this, and provide some feedback to show that clicking doesn't do anything.
The experience currently is just that i click and sometimes it does something and other times it doesnt
@dilem @frederikja163 Yes - that could have been made clearer :) It is when the text is bright white and bold on the left hand side that you can click.
I was just madly click the whole time. I couldn't tell why sometimes it made a few green squares, sometimes it made many green squares, and most of the time it did nothing. Great atmosphere though, I liked the ambient music and sound effects.
The description could maybe explain the mechanics a bit more. I was SUPER confused at first before I realized the "thought" on the left was the key to what clicking did at any given moment.
@a-chill-lemur @fireslash Thank you for the feedback - I took the liberty to add explanatory text in the game now. It should hopefully make the experience a bit less confusing
Woahhh this game is so unique. Imagining that the green is this persons consciousness and it's slowly getting corrupted by insanity is so cool. The text "imagine when you won that game jam" lol.
Made it to day 6. Took me a while to understand the gameplay... and "My Father" is not a negative thought I don't think. But I like the concept! Maybe use weight to randomize if you don't use it already (or have something to reduce the RNG weight on survival). Nice music and composition! Well done!
This was a little confusing at first.. A little more user feedback might have helped. I was unsure of the the impact of the positive thoughts.... It seemed a bit random how much positivity it gave. Good job though :thumbsup_tone1:
Interesting game and a unique concept. First try i didn't understand the gameplay, second try a made it until day 6. I think the game is a litte too randomized. I get that thoughts are sometimes random when one is in such a situation. From a gameplay perspective it feels kind of unfair to get like 10 negatives in a row and basically just wait and don't play. BUT The atmosphere is awesome and i really felt like being in a small pod struggling to breathe. Nice game with some small flaws.
There's a really striking look to this game that reflects its sort of abstract method of story telling really well. Thought the way of giving the player a bit of a glimpse into the character they're playing as via the things that came up and positive and negative thoughts was a brilliant touch.
Nice game and really clean graphics, it is frequent to struggle with bad thoughts and then getting motivated with nice things, I really like hows this gameplay shows that and makes you feel a need of populating the grid with good thoughts
An interesting game. The music and art really set a mood.
Like others have said: I did find myself continuously clicking, but I still found the game fun.
It has a very nice mood. It would be nice if you had another mechanic to influence or increase your chances of having a positive thought though. It did feel very claustrophobic when getting towards to the end, so the helpless atmosphere is definitely well done.
Only major complaint is that the taste of cashews should be the biggest clearer of negative space, not the smallest - those are delicious! :P
I really like this entry. Gameplay is pretty simple but there's so much storytelling going on in what you chose to include as positive and negative thoughts. Like, family related things being positive.... for the most part! Oh and how large/small different positive thoughts are. I thought that was really cool, and was incredibly effective storytelling tied into mechanics. Tie all that into the general theme of the game and this game is overflowing with Theme and Mood. Really cool entry, glad I played it!
