Pretty fun, Story is nice and the combat feels pretty good. Overall a very fun time!

I like the way that you told the story from the beginning to the end. Also the biomes were a pretty neat idea, and I appreciate the variety of enemies you were able to get into the game (mine has only 1). Very nice.

I like the story, the games visuals. The gameplay is simple and pretty fun. Some more audio and perhaps some music would have been great. Overall a well made and fun little jam game. Well done.

Game is super cute! The enemies hit harder than I expected, but it was pretty forgiving if you lost all HP, so it felt like a good balance to keep people playing.

Gameplay is pretty simple, but I like the weather idea and the sfx are very cute and fun! Also, glad to see another person trying out Godot! :)

Very nice game! I really liked the opening cutscene and its SFX. The way that the weather changed when you stepped into another zone was also super cool - especially when it started raining & snowing! All the animations were very smooth too. It was a bit hard to see the mouse cursor in the Rain area, but other than that, great entry!

I liked this one a lot, good work, and i loved that fact that if I died i kept the items i found, too many games are dead and done.

This was really cool. Combat was nice, simple but challenging. Good amount of content, different areas and clothes. The cursor was a bit hard to see in the rain area, although didn't matter too much. Nice that you added checkpoints. I really like the sounds. Cure art also. This game made me happy, thanks for that! Really solid entry overall!

(I also tried Godot for the first time and I agree with you. I am very impressed with it and will definitely continue using it.)

I enjoyed the game and the unique but effective combat style. I think you got a lot done in such a short time, good job!

Nice little game! I especially liked the sound effects and smooth & simple combat. Unexpected variety of enemies. Good entry!

bernhard 2023-10-05 11:15

That was quite impressive with all that variation! Good job! Played it through and the only little complain I can come up with is that in the rainy area it was a bit hard to see my own mouse cursor. But other than that I'm quite blown away, there was even an intro movie! And an ending! Wow!

This might be the first entry I've actually playes from start to finish. Nice!

"I can see a helicopter"

I like the storytelling. The visual clothing reflection is neat as well. The rain & snow effects add a lot to this game. I also giggled at the intro.

This might sound out of place, but it reminds me of old Wacraft3 RPG maps where you had all kinds of biomes all over the place. A single map would contain a desert, a jungle, a cursed ruins, etc.

The game is quite harsh at the snowy stage. I wonder if it's possible to beat it without dying and reverting to a save location? It feels like cheesing when you only able to defeat 3-4 enemies and then you have to continue after dying. :D Thanks to the non-respawning enemies, I was able to find a flare gun and finish the game. Perhaps I missed some enemy patterns. If they stop shooting after a while, then it makes sense to run away from them for a while and then get closer.

I lost my mouse pointer at a darker rainy place. The tiny black cursor can't be noticeable enough on that background. Maybe a light outline would help.

I managed to respawn with 9/10 hitpoints once. I think one of the projectiles damaged me after I respawned. This is weird.

I think this game could be a bit better with a focus on something different from a combat. It has a look and feel of a story-heavy game, but then it quickly becomes an action game with a simplistic combat. Perhaps a couple of simple puzzles and 50% number of enemies reduction could work? I dunno.

Good luck with Godot!

This is a great little game, especially for a compo, it has everything, saving progress, different weather setting, even a cut scene. I was very happy when I was able to save my progress, and was hooked until the end.

Very nice entry overall, GG.

panda-king-976 2023-10-08 16:38

The bird movement behaviour is nice. I like trying to sneak past the enemies sometimes

olddog 2023-10-11 08:12

interesting game, had a great time in this game, a bit short for me ,spent about 10 mins to pass ,,,mouse cursor is a little not visible in snow or rain, nice work

flightless 2023-10-12 17:33

Cute game, I liked how you changed the light depending on the biome - You managed to add a lot of polish into the game with such limited time. Good job

ruben-rosenmeyer 2023-10-14 22:56

I really like the idea of having the biomes restricted! An walking animation would have been the icying on the cake imo :D

henk 2023-10-14 23:13

I liked the attention to detail in the graphics, sounds, and animations. I couldn't quite figure out the strategy to get past the pumpkin things without dying, but the checkpoint system was very forgiving so I got to see the ending anyway :)
