Cool concept, the bubble feels great :) Also visuals looks clean and nice. I have rage quit on spikes, though. I'd appreciate some checkpoints (or more often if there are any). But it's a great entry anyway!

This games looks and feels amazing. If only there was a bit more visual feedback, but I understand given the short time limit. It's a tough game to beat, but fun!

Fabulous looking game with great feel that takes the theme in a unique direction. I absolutely love the art style. I did get stuck at the start of the third level. What am I supposed to do here?

Either way, I think it's great. Good work!

@jiri-hysek Thanks! I mean the whole point of the game was to not give checkpoints haha--but I get that not everyone enjoys rage games! Thanks again for commenting.

@gastricsparrow Yep, I agree on the lack of visual feedback. Thanks for playing!

thomas-bringer 2023-10-03 13:24

@human-writes-code Thanks a lot! The part you're in is just an outpost to a future level. You actually have to swim back up to the previous level, then go left.

I really like the clean visual style and the physics of the bubble feels really nice to play around with. The checkpoint system feels a bit unfair, but I generally don't like these kinds of games so I won't judge it negatively because of a preference. The only thing I think that would go really well is for some visual feedback whenever the player uses the mouse to move the character/bubble, because as it is it feels a bit odd. Other than that this was a pretty good game. Good job!

a good game, very pretty and fun to play, but a little too difficult for me, well done to you

@a327ex Yep the checkpoint system was actually designed to be unfair haha. Agreed on the lack of visual feedback. Thanks for commenting!

@tasakasama Thanks!

Well done, art, sounds and controls all felt very good. I liked the way the pipes vacuumed up the diver! Makes me want to learn more about godot and soft body physics, good job! :smile_cat:

This is clever! I was really confused about the controls at first—the thing it shows the mouse cursor doing seems to be exactly the opposite of what you need to do to move (I would’ve expected to see it pulling **back** and releasing)—but once I got the hang of it it was a good challenge. The pipe system is a nice take on checkpointing. Well done.

@don-shinski @mahalis Thanks for playing!

Great take on the theme, pretty difficult to play. Highly enjoyable level design and physics. Loved the art and music. Mood wise also very well tied together.

The artwork and design of this game is beautiful, had a lot of fun pushing and pulling my bubble around to get them across the map.

Really great visuals and polish, I especially liked the pipes that brougth you back earlier in the level when you die at different places, it's really classy !

lelulagames 2023-10-08 18:58

I love the idea of the game, and the controls take some getting used to, but are doable. I also got stuck at that junction on the third level, there's nothing saying you should go left in the second area so it's easy to get stuck. But I might try it again. Level design just needs a bit of tweaking to help guide the player where they should go.

I found the controls to take a bit to get the hang of. The tight spaces and the pipes sending me back to the beginning a few times made it difficult to get very far. I think the beginning of the game could've been easier and then ramp up the difficulty of the spaces you have to move through later in the level. I do see the potential of a game like this, I just wasn't very good at it. I liked the visuals, they were simple but I think they worked with the vibe of the game. Overall I liked the game, but also would've liked if it was a tad bit more forgiving.

I have never before seen a combination of "Getting Over It" and "Snakes & Ladders" :smile: Super innovative! Also rage inducing - but that comes with the genre. Superb graphics.

Very funny (but also difficult) game. I played it over the course of multiple days because I wanted to finish it, but I had too much trouble on the second moving obstacle (but at least I got better in the parts before this :smile: The pipe system is very cool! Some pipes were placed really fair in situations were you basically always die in the first try. Also liked the minimalistic but very good graphics! Maybe wished there was some visual feedback on what input was registered as sometimes the impulse felt off to my movement. But really liked this game!

FYI Once I somehow ended up with two bubbles :sweat_smile:
