Oh neat a space RTS, my favourite :) The sprites and soundtrack are very nice and the units move about and fight in a satisfying way. The gameplay is quite subtle where you want to get into the enemies back line but to do so you expose yourself to attack in turn. The menus are decent and stylish.
If this was more than a compo entry I expect there would be more ship types and perhaps multiple signals. Still very impressive for a weekend's work and it is inspiring me to work on my own space RTS.
@paracorn @alex-mulkerrin Thanks!
> If this was more than a compo entry I expect there would be more ship types and perhaps multiple signals. Yeah, I actually prepared a everything to have multiple type of motherships to buy, each one spawning a different type of corvettes, and each type of corvette would have its separate signal to control. But yeah, scope cuts had to happen. We'll see if I can find some time over the next few days and weeks to implement a post-compo version. ;)
Honestly, I won, I don't know how or why... it's a bit unclear what to do, but the art direction and sound are flawless. Well done!

You have to get the snowball running. Pretty satisfying.
Nice entry! It was a bit hard to figure out what was going on at first tbh, I was expecting there to be more than one signal or something, but once I realized I was just moving one thing around I was able to progress. I also assumed the little ships were missiles based on their appearance, and thought I had to aim their trajectories using the signal.
VICTORY! INTERGALACTIC DOMINANCE IS MINE! MWAH HAH HAH!
This was fun! The signal spatial mechanic was subtle but very effective! I lost very hard my first try, and _just barely_ gained more momentum than my opponent the second.
Very fun!

Ambitious compo entry, the best strategy I came up with is to let all my ships rush past the enemy and just spawn my own mother ships so I do not die.
I like the simple and clean art, maybe the signals button could be a bit highlighted so it pops out a bit more, especially on the first run where you are not sure what is going on.
Music and sound design are great, maybe some additional sound effects for placing the signal and spawning new ships.
It is always fun to see RTS in game jam (as it was my favorite game genre for a long time). Even tho the controls are quite simple there are still some interesting timing choices to made. Also, well done with music! It feels space-like :D
Nice little rts! :)
Very satisfying snowball game :)
The trick, like in RTS games and something simpler like age of war, is recognising a number's advantage - setting your gather point close to home automatically to group automatically means that the defender has an inherent advantage, as the enemy forces trickle in while you have a group going to decimate them.
Enjoyed playing - nicely done!
Nice entry! I feel like the signal didn't have an enormous influence except that you were able to bundle the ships to get an advantage, but it was fun to see how the advantage against the opponent slowly grew. Also cool music!
fun entry, i immediately started using the signals to keep my ships moving on my side of the field, and just waited for a long time until i had a large fleet and then went ahead and crushed the enemy. fun how the signals allowed this kind of strategy :)

Victory! I tried attacking them from behind, and in the end our fleets had switched places  Nice one!
I can see a possible avenue of future development for this game that could take it to the next level. This is a solid base set of mechanics that could lead to an interesting approach to an RTS.
Pretty fun one, watching ships moving relatively slowly reminded me of DEFCON for some reason. Took me a little bit to figure out how to work with the signal, but not too long.
I think that since there are essentially only two options of either moving signal or adding a new motherboard, it feels like just clicking into the map without having to click on signal button first would do the trick, but like, that's nitpicking, and I guess you wanted to do more things over there.
It seemed like a relatively even battle for a while, but I got scrap quicker than the enemy, which let me spam more and more new ships, and I ended up overwhelming the enemy ships (and my CPU) like this:

The game almost went to a standstill, but eventually, my poor CPU managed to compute it until the victorious end! Had a lot of fun with this one, well done!
