Nice game! I always like the mechanic of using your own abilities as resources. Controls were a bit cumbersome, however.

A very nice and fun shoot'em'up! It starts really hard because the initial cannon is dangerous to use as it shoots against enemy bullets, but if you survive the first level without getting the cannon destroyed and can get some sideways mounted cannons (or maybe even just rotate the initial one) it gets rather easy and some smart upgrades can keep you going for a long long time.
Thanks for trying the game. @flying-dog-fish : you're right, sideways mounted cannons are too powerful, maybe rotating a cannon should be a paying option, only available at a certain level...
I read your post about starting with this engine now and using type script, it seems difficult. This is a traditional ship shooter, but somehow it got complicated I think. Control is terribly difficult, when it would just be the wasd directional arrows or arrows. The arrows work however, but you are also encouraged to use the mouse to move around and it looks pretty bad. The shooting is terribly slow, completely taking away the fun that we have in this type of game. But the graphic is satisfactory of space and enemies. The ship is slow and the entire system for buying things is a bit complicated, I imagine how much time was spent on this system that seems very complex but perhaps took away all the gameplay that cannot be worked on because of it. I don't know, it's probably just me, but a new code engine must be really complicated. Anyway, I enjoyed killing some ships for a while
cool combination of game ideas! It gets kind of dull if your only cannon is destroyed, though -- might be cool if there was some sort of weaker default attack that you always have
@lincolnsalles You're right about control keys, how could I missed that -> **WASD** keys added, and even ZQSD for french keyboards 😉 and also the **P** key to pause/unpause the game.
@patbgames this *actually* is very cool game you got there : )))
It's addictive! It's well thought out. It's very well fitting the theme too! You can build some strategy up, everything is clear, it's fun and player is incentivised to not get hit, to hit enemy ships and up grade in a smart way. I was surprised by the variety of stuff you can put on your ship (the merchandise one was a surprise).
Now to the few feedback items:
1) initially I did not realize I could upgrade individual parts of the ship / it's easy to miss (although after a few waves I realized I need to move with Arrows onto the parts)
2) the *merchandise* one I did not realize how powerful is at first - until I sold it; and suddenly I got $ 2370 :D - then the rest was easy ^^
3) some music would be cool too; the shooting sound is juuust a bit too harsh, but all good apart from that

**Overall, a very solid and fun game : ))**
I would love to see this developed further - more foes, balance, upgrades (etc.), and this could be a great-great fun! : ))
Bravo on your first steps with those tools!
**PS**: Since I am a fan of the same stack (TS, Phaser3), and since I am a JS/TS developer by trade, I've also developed this: [obs-disp](https://www.npmjs.com/package/obs-disp). I hope you find it useful for your games : )
I *actually* also have a very raw Phaser3 setup for rapid development, but its not yet polished enough for the public / will share ones ready ; )
@aweskybear You're right, with a good merchandise management, you can do funny thing 😄 Capture d'écran 2023-10-17 222241.png (this screenshot is guaranteed to be cheat-free)
Really cool game! Like exciting mechanics
This might be one of my favorite games I've played so far! Haven't seen someone implement a progression/shop system into galaga before, and it's really well done. The audio for the UFOs is a little deafening, but that's the only complaint I have, I may actually come back to this one though! Made it to wave 9 on my third attempt, I'm not the best at this style of arcade game lol
I'm not very good at twitchy games and this was too hard for me. I kept losing my gun.
I got retro gaming vibes from this game. I liked how the title text was like old arcade games. Avoiding enemy ships and their fire was a fun challenge as well as discovering an additional enemy in the third wave. I thought it was a good idea to give that enemy its own sound to alert the player of a new kind of enemy.
One issue that I had with this game is that when you lose your blaster and ran out of money there isn't much you can do.
I really enjoyed this one and kept upgrading my ship until there was no challenge left  Great concept, I have not seen a similar game before.
Great concept you've got here! I really enjoyed playing and I can definitely see potential here if you decide to add more after the jam. The feeling of having one of your weapons destroyed during a level is a fun limitation and really gives a nice sense of risk and realism. I feel like more shmups should do this sort of thing, and I'm surprised I haven't seen it before. Great job on your design and intuitive gameplay - you should be proud of this one!
Really like these types of games, nicely done!
Great game ! Good Job.
I liked the vibe of the game. Something like Space Invaders, but also unique. Great job.
Hey that's pretty cool! I actually tried to do something similar but didn't made it in time. I really enjoyed the game loop of having to kill enemy to get money and then upgrade your ship. The only issue with the design is that when your cannon is destroyed, you'll have to just avoid the waves without having the ability to make more money. Maybe you could add a shitty basic cannon that only activate if you lose your main weapon. So at least you have the opportunity to still make money and repair your ship. Nice game, good work!
The game was very fun and on theme! Had some trouble at first with controls until I realized I was nudging my mouse periodically which was taking priority away from the WASD keys. Overall you did a great job!

Dear person,
You made me lose a lot of time. I almost did fail to rate enough games. At first it was quite difficult to get the hang of, then it became one of the most addictive things.

@aaln Sorry for your time 🤣🤣🤣
**Your screenshots go farther than what I could have imagined** 🤪
Thanks to everyone else who played and commented👍
nice game, please give us feedback, thanks
Well, I also wrote notes so here there are:
- ~~More shoot than trade~~ - Little bit overwhelmed by ennemies - ~~Unfair how you can easily lose your cannon but I'm not used to this type of game. Also not clear indication of it.~~ - Not clear of how your ship's parts are destroyed - What do you mean I can't rotate... Oh now I understand! - Pew pew pew pew! - Clearer way to indicate damage (with for example a list) because it's not obvious to look at the small icons - ~~Why can't I buy structure?~~ - Wait, ennemy doesn't make pew pew sound
@aaln Ship parts start to blink when they receive an enemy bullet or are hurted an enemy ship. They are destroyed by a second hit. Shields can absorb more hits, according to their level.
