LD44 — Your life is currency

Money Mage by FlashViper 2019-05-01T02:00:30Z

Definitely some polish needed. The transitions from screen to screen was choppy (killed me once...). I liked the coin/spell management. Made a simple game like this challenging. Maybe would have been nice to increase the total coin count.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Pangolin in the Sky by ThePelranthean 2019-10-08T00:42:31Z

My favorite game so far! No flaws in my opinion!

Zen Master by Onat Saygı 2019-10-08T00:31:28Z

Boring to play, but I really loved the mood. Best game about breathing I've seen.

Snowball by blotosaur 2019-10-08T00:57:47Z

Getting stuck by a tree isn't fun, didn't know if there was something I was suppose to do. Had more fun than I thought I would as a snowball. I think adding more things to roll up and skiers reacting to being rolled over would add a bit more humor to the game.

Nice job!

You Are Nothing by Sefirost 2019-10-08T00:51:58Z

Very cool graphics. Having the wall randomly appear made me feel even more lost. Not really a big fan of the enemies killing me and making me start over since there was no way for me to know they where there, but still quite fun.

LD55 — Summoning

Chuck It Up The Mountain by gamesplusjames 2024-04-17T18:42:13Z

i really enjoyed this puzzle platformer. nice job!

Bellhivers by partkyle 2024-04-17T13:13:55Z

not a fan of bees, so this was nice to play for a while, had a lot of fun. great work!

Shape Defender by bzoo345 2024-04-17T01:11:29Z

after going through lots of games with demons and other otherworldly beings, its refreshing to play a game with abstract characters again. SFX were a treat, i like the lighting of the projectiles, and the lens concept was interesting but hard to use. i won mainly by running in circles :see_no_evil:. nice work!

Keyboard Summoner by Andreas Roschal 2024-04-16T21:12:40Z

this is great! the bonus round between stages is brilliant. I like have to quickly decide what i might need, and then in my excitement, i mess up the keystrokes, and i get punished for not being precise, but i know that its my fault, and i think that's a brilliant take on how to upgrade between rounds. way more engaging than your typical shop or something else more passive.

Tao by leorean 2024-04-15T15:19:11Z

wooooooow... this is really well done. I don't have time to complete the game now, but i'm definitely going back to play through the whole thing. I love the design behind this game, introducing new mechanics that build on each other. the music is so fitting, the sfx are satisfying. best game i've played yet in this jam.

The Curse of Lake Pineview (Gameboy Color) by zagony2613 2024-04-17T01:20:23Z

i didn't know gb studio was a thing! this is so cool. great game, love the art style here.

Summoning Circles, Á La Carte by Matt Blake 2024-04-17T01:06:14Z

this was difficult to figure out, but fun once i was able to understand what the book was trying to tell me.

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH by jdah 2024-04-15T12:10:52Z

The sorting game was my favorite from them all, but they were all awesome to play. Nice work!

The Tchernobyl Battle Simulator Deluxe Edition by Henno 2024-04-16T01:56:27Z

I like the take on the theme! While the core gameplay is simple, I think expanding on this idea with different cards/summons would make this really enjoyable in the future.

IWANT by CO5MONAUT 2024-04-15T14:01:18Z

this one took me a while to understand, and i still don't fully understand, but it's really interesting. played this one longer than most other entries because it was exciting to get new results. well done!

Would you still love me if I was a worm ❤️🪱? by samsface 2024-04-16T20:59:15Z

i love this game. everything about it. the concept is easy to grasp from the beginning. it introduces new mechanics iteratively. i have to make decisions about cards i want, and if i end up not liking the cards, no problem i trade in a few and get more new stuff. this hits all the parts of video games that i love.

the microgames are intresting, because once i figure them out, i could see them being tedious to do. i'm sick of tickling the owl. however, the presentation of those games (and the entire game) is so charming that i don't care if i do them over and over.

well done!

Over Scoped by blank_3D 2024-04-17T01:24:46Z

i think the idea is solid, as someone that's played a ton of overcooked. i think you should keep at it.

Flying Buttress by Jack728 2024-04-15T20:03:34Z

love the controls, they were difficult but interesting. honestly, the frustrating platforming from the controls fits in with the retro style.

music is great too!

The Bread Soceress Panini! by Aly Name 2024-04-15T13:27:36Z

Played the web version, where itch.io cuts off some of the viewport, but its still playable.

Interesting concept, the controls took some getting use to for the navigation around the board. But this is the most strategic game I've played so far. Wish there were SFX to round out the experience.

Warlockry by Quinn Davis 2024-04-17T01:01:50Z

i like hand-drawn games a lot, adds a charm to the simple gameplay. it wasn't super clear that i also had to attack the village, so i sat there for a while at first waiting for the next level, then i learned how to summon imps. oops. overall, i had fun, great work.

Crummonir by lobbienjonsjii 2024-04-16T01:44:16Z

I like the art style a lot, and the gameplay seems to have promise, but I don't really understand the goal of the game, whether its survival, or if i'm suppose to summon crystals to shoot the enemies. I also don't know how to gauge whether i can lay down another crystal.

Matthew, Emissary of Balance by unchain 2024-04-17T00:57:15Z

love the gameplay, art and sfx are delightful. nice work!

Scummoner by boba 2024-04-17T13:35:35Z

this game was just mindless fun. i appreciate someone building a sandbox in the time constraints of the jam. great work!

Magnet Head by Brooklyn Humphrey 2024-04-17T01:14:00Z

haha, magnets summon things, i love it. fun game, you nailed the slowdown effect, super satisfying throwing things around the stage. great work!
