clever game, great work.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD55 → Chuck It Up The Mountain

clever game, great work.
It reminds me of Tower Jump, a mobile game. The game is way too difficult for me that I didn't manage to pass first level. But I like the mechanics a lot, it feels very rage and addictive. The dialogues are funny too.
Interesting performances and dialogues, and the character movements are humorous. gameplay reminds me of a small part in celeste, but with a classical way of handling it!
I am getting heavy getting over it vibes from this. There is a suprising amount of dialogue in this and it gives the player the need to go through the rage parts.
Getting over it, but even more annoying (nothing negative, I swear)
I enjoyed the animations and the quirkiness, and the platform mechanics are quite fun forcing you to be not just good at aiming but also fast so you manage catch that ball before it rolls over the edge. Unfortunately, I had to rage quit after that *** fur ball fell all way back down.
Fun but rage quit inducing, good job
fun game! the visuals are quite good, and the story so far is nice as well. I feel like checkpoints would have been nice though. I'm also not quite a fan of the throw controls, at least the aiming could be based on the mouse position. That said, the polishing on the jumps, movement and physics is pretty neat!
damn it Doug, can you stop rolling?
"Close enough" That text at the beginnibg hit me hard. That was my mood during the comp when writing code :D Cool mechanic!
fun but it's too hard hahah:)
It is a game with simple but fun mechanics. Although somewhat difficult sometimes.
Nice little game, once you understand the mechanic it becomes trivial.
I liked the art and the music. How did you get those fluid animations, they look slick. Especially the transitions between states.
The struggle itself towards the heights is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Doug happy.
While I'm not the biggest fan of "getting over it" games (Too frustrating for me haha), this was pretty fun and goofy!
This game is a real getting over it. The game look scuffed at first but the animation is smooth and good. The physic feel good. The writing is hilarious. Gg
Pleasant surprise! The animation and dialog are both my highlights. I think the idea is really good, and the only thing I would change is the variable angle part of the throw. I feel like there might be a more interesting way to interact with the throw mechanic, although for the game jam I think it's very serviceable.
Simple mechanics, easy to grasp, well done
It's mechanically simple but elevated by its consistent presentation; the game reminds me a bit of Bennett Foddy's work.
I love how derpily happy Doug is when you pick him up. Nice!
Fun but frustrating. Dialogue at the beginning a bit too long. Summoning is at the very beginning but not really after, could have been fun that the little creature summons certain things on the road.
The puzzles are well done even if they are often frustrating. Fun idea overall
Love the SFXs and funny dialogue banter! xD Mechanics were super cool and easy to grasp as well, well done!
Fun, well implemented platformer with a unique gimmick!
Sometimes a wrong chuck would set me back a LOT, which was frustrating. Some checkpoints would be welcome.
Great job on the graphics, I love how fluffy Doug is!
Very funny and difficult game. Buy i complete it!
Funny game

It's a very funny game, I laughed for a very long time. It is played well, the obstacles are interesting. But it seems to me that there is too much text in the game. And so a great game. Good job
It's a good game, but I feel like the controls are weird.
Sorry I did not leave a rating. Since I gave up the game quite early, I wouldn't find it fair play to rate it without having played a little bit more of it. But I still thought leaving some comments might interest you so here it goes.
First of all what I saw of the writing was funny and I liked how you managed to insert the tutorial into some funny dialogue lines.
But what lead me to give the game was the difficulty that I found way too hard. I felt like I had little control over what was happening and so, seeing chuck miss the platform and fall to the bottom was too much for my weak heart.
I hope Chuck will safely find his way up the mountain without my help, he seemed like a nice creature that was legit going to help with my wishes !
I liked the Doug throwing mechanic a lot and it took me a little too long to realize what type of game this was when Doug fell ALL the back to the beginning after I chucked him too far! I managed to tough it out enough to get past 2 of the “throw Doug at red button to open door puzzles” which was neat, curious to see what other puzzle types could be done with Doug.
The art and music is very good and the cutscenes were humorous and well written.
i really enjoyed this puzzle platformer. nice job!
Really fun and sometimes frustrating project :). Getting the vibes of getting over it. Good job finishing it in 72 hours!
I've never experienced loss like this in a video game. Jesus. WHAT THE ACTUAL. ARHHHH!!! 5/5
