Fetch! Good boys? by DashNothing 2023-05-02T20:50:24Z

This is an interesting concept. I enjoyed it, but didn't see where the timer was. I like how the levels got more challenging as you advanced. Good Job!

The Kings Scam by JCMonkey 2023-05-02T16:01:37Z

This was the first game I played on the game jam, and I have to say that I enjoyed it. I really like the concept of 1st person shooter and tower defense game. The concept reminded me of Dungeon Defenders a little which I put many, many hours into. Since this was a weekend project I am not sure if you had any further plans on mechanics, but it would be cool if you could purchase NPC archers to help you with the onslaught. Overall, very good job!

Sails by ping78 2023-05-05T23:08:26Z

I really enjoyed the graphics of this game, as well as the steering and wind mechanics. I did find the game a little aimless, and wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing. However, given the limited time, I think you did well and would be interested in seeing where the game would go if you chose to continue working on it!

Parcel Pursuit by bloodyaugust 2023-05-02T20:02:13Z

I absolutely loved the art and style of the game. The transition from the main menu to the game itself and then back to main menu was wonderful, I will have to keep that type of transition in mind for future projects! I must have played 10 times just because of the transition! I do agree that the double jump did give me some difficulty, but learned that if I just hit the "w" key like 3-4 times I could get it to work. The art is some of the best I have seen so far! Congrats to you both!

Tight Five: Still Alive by weeping-rupee 2023-05-05T23:18:29Z

Very nice take on the theme. It did take me a while to figure out how to play the game itself. I didn't even realize there was a blackjack type component until the end of the first game when I busted. I think this game has a lot of potential though!

Please, Clap. by sebbot 2023-05-05T23:31:57Z

Both interesting and spooky. I had a little difficulty figuring out what I was supposed to be doing, so a tutorial would probably help. Good work though!

Deliveries & Dragons by PhilStrahl 2023-05-05T23:50:25Z

I really enjoyed this one. I really like the painted style art used for the game. It looks like you got a lot of the mechanics of the game implemented, and it was easy to pick up. It did seem like the spawn rate took too long to ramp up. I was able to get the stats pumped up pretty high before the spawn rate of the dragons picked up. It also seemed like you were planning on having additional enemies, because the base level damage was enough to take out the dragon, so there was no point to increase that stat. I would probably make the cost of the stat level increase as the level does as well. Overall, I really love this game, and think it just needs some game balancing. Very well done!

X-treme Deliveries by jondalnas 2023-05-02T16:22:05Z

This game was fun! I got a good laugh at it, especially after flying, skydiving, surfing, and snowboarding being told that my score was measly and the package got ruined, I couldn't help but laugh. The graphics reminded me of an old school handheld game system from the 80s so I thought that fit pretty well overall. The music reminded me of that as well, but did get a little repetitive. A couple more bars could have gone a long way. I did really enjoy it though!

Easter Panic! by Oradimi 2023-05-05T17:49:55Z

I enjoyed the art style! It starts nice and relaxing but gets intense pretty quickly. It was fun to play!

Stacked Up! by MashUpGames 2023-05-02T20:22:54Z

I had fun with this one. I like that you went with the approach of a puzzle game. I did run into an issue where the package broke and I couldn't continue on the level (stuck on a lower floor and had nothing to boost me up), and there was no way to exit or restart that I could see. Other than that I enjoyed the art and the robot character. Good Job!

Crop Delivery by KreGames 2023-05-02T16:12:11Z

This was an interesting concept. I understand more of the time went into the coding than the graphics so I won't knock you for that. I did have trouble figuring out how to make the deliveries. It appeared that I was able to pick up one of the fully grown plants, but I'm not sure how I did that. I think if you had a timer bar like you did for the deliveries for the growth of the plants it would be easier to tell when they are ready to be harvested. When the plant graphic got to its biggest point, I would have thought that it was done, but it didn't appear to be. You could have also added a currency system so that you got currency based on the delivery and the seeds cost a certain amount. Overall, I understand the time limit of the game jam can define how much of the game you get done. I think with more time, this would be a more enjoyable game.

packet.Breach() by Celtican 2023-05-05T18:00:08Z

I love tower defense games, and this one is definitely up there near the top of my list. I really liked the concept, and the story introduced looked like it would be a good one. I couldn't get through all the waves so I am not sure what happens next. I'm very impressed with what you were able to accomplish in 3 days. I will definitely be revisiting this one!

Mouse Mail by Mateu 2023-05-05T18:12:52Z

This was a fun game to play, and an interesting concept. I do agree with some that it was a little monotonous, but instead of making the map smaller, maybe adding some kind of obstacles or (mouse)traps to avoid would have given it a little more. I do understand the time limit, so overall, good job!

Johny's Delivery by PeachTreeMcGee 2023-05-05T22:56:46Z

I really like the art style you are going for. I do admit that the landscape textures got a little dizzying though. Nice concept and would love to see this one continued to be worked on to see where you go with it!

Yuki's mystery by Sevla 2023-05-02T20:15:49Z

I enjoyed the scene art and the concept. The sounds made it feel really creepy as well. I would have to agree that navigating the house took a little bit to figure out, but I think adding indicators or something would help with the guidance. I feel it was also a bit awkward using the "e" key to interact, and maybe a change to using the "space" key may feel a little more natural. I am impressed with what you all were able to accomplish in a weekend!

Snail Mail by rkeele 2023-05-05T23:24:49Z

This game was really fun to play. I enjoyed the music and it fit perfectly with the frantic feeling of the game. Well done!

Thank you in advance for playing my game, and for any feedback you provide!

@gonzalo-ferretti Thanks for the heads up on the embedded player. It is working on my end using Chrome. I don't know if it is dependent on browser, but I'm thankful I added a link to the version on itch.io!

@psychozz No need to apologize. I have the same thoughts about mechanics. I totally did not realize how much I would have to limit the scope due to the time limit. I appreciate the feedback!

@sevla @joaosilva22 @i-wrote-it-myself Thank you all for the feedback, I'm just ecstatic people are trying out the game!

Congo Premiere by Slightly Ajar 2023-05-02T17:25:52Z

@bloodyaugust Yeah I couldn't figure out why out of 47 different targets being picked randomly, the same target would be picked twice on occasion. I should have probably should have added code that would reroll the number if the number was the same as the previous, but that realization has only come to me now. And the funny thing about the shadow comment is that is how I had originally implemented it, but changed it when I realized that it would only be like that in real life if the sun was directly above the drone, and based on the map art, it clearly was not so I changed it. I also didn't want to it be confusing, but I'm glad someone else had the same idea!

Congo Premiere by Slightly Ajar 2023-05-02T20:53:14Z

@linkway Thank you for the feedback! I really wasn't too confident with the music. It was my first attempt at composing anything and was afraid it would get too annoying after awhile. Glad to hear (*get it?*) that someone enjoyed it!

Congo Premiere by Slightly Ajar 2023-05-02T21:15:00Z

@nuin @ethernal-tech Thank you both for the feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to play and comment!

Congo Premiere by Slightly Ajar 2023-05-02T22:39:43Z

@stoicgoose I originally had it where the time increase matched score, but was trying to balance deliveries versus score and felt being more accurate and getting more time, might slow the game down a little. Glad to receive the feedback so I can learn to balance better.

@denissobolev @jeff-harper Thanks! The art could definitely use more depth in color, but overall I was pretty happy with it. I really went back and forth on what "my" style was, so I appreciate that you liked the art and now I know I can confidently refine that style for my next game.

@cabjhegas Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

@josephgallear Thank you for the feedback. I had 3 sets of controls I was trying to decide between: 1. Up, Down, Left, Right 2. Forward, Backward, Rotate Left, Rotate Right 3. Forward, Backward, Rotate Left, Rotate Right, Strafe Left, Strafe Right

It was a little bit of analysis paralysis and felt that option 2 was a good middle ground. I'm still not sure if that was the right decision. I'm sure there was a better balance that I didn't think of.

@mar-zockmeister @7331 I was hoping to add the occasional wind gust, but time got away from me. Thank you for the feedback!

Congo Premiere by Slightly Ajar 2023-05-05T23:56:13Z

@digx7 My thought with multiplayer would be to have competing drones (players) all racing to the same delivery location, so the first one there gets the delivery, with the remaining players taking a small hit to their rating due to lack of speed. Even for the solo game I wanted to add a mechanic where you could only carry a couple packages so you would have to go back to the warehouse to pick up new ones, giving the others a chance to make deliveries while you restock. I also wanted speed to be a component in the rating calculation, but couldn't figure out how I wanted it to affect the equation.

Congo Premiere by Slightly Ajar 2023-05-06T01:18:45Z

@bangkerpow That would have been a good idea. I added a dead zone to the camera and I think that might be one of the issues. I couldn't tell if maybe the camera was too close, but something felt off. I think having the camera lead would have been a great idea. Thanks!

@synthol Nice score! Yeah I realized too late that I didn't have a pause to exit or restart the game. I am tempted to work on this one a little more to see if I can get multiplayer to work, but I am trying to finish up another project, so I will think on it a little more. Thank you for the feedback!

Congo Premiere by Slightly Ajar 2023-05-10T20:42:27Z

@longv Thank you for the kind words. I wanted to also have limited number of packages per trip and have to go back to resupply, but time got the better of me.

@magicstunts123 Thank you for the feedback. I originally had a drone noise, but I was having difficulty implementing them in a way that wasn't just a constant *droning* noise in the background. I wanted to do it to where the volume is increased when you first hit a key and then ramp down to a constant noise, but I couldn't figure out how to do it.

@flying-butter-studio Thank you!

Congo Premiere by Slightly Ajar 2023-05-17T15:29:30Z

@flightless Yeah, I'm still not 100% sure which is more important. When comparing items on those online shopping sites, I look at the rating, but caveat it with how many reviews made up that rating. So my thoughts were that the deliveries would be what you want, and the stars/rating was the tie breaker. Ultimately those are just my thoughts, but would be curious to see what others think. What is the better rated item: the one with 5 stars and 10 reviews, or the one with 4.3 stars and 100 reviews?

Soul Delivery Manager by Stanislav Pustynkin 2023-05-02T19:48:29Z

I really enjoyed this concept. The graphics looked awesome, and I really enjoyed the ambiance music. I did feel like it got easier when I got down to 2 rowers. I also didn't see much of a difference between each of the different types of rowers. I also think if the red squares showed up along the outer squares as well it would have added quite a bit more management so you couldn't just hide the rowers along the oars. Overall, I really enjoyed the concept and gameplay!

Slow News Day by JosephGallear 2023-05-02T16:38:44Z

I like the concept you went with. It was fun but it took me a little to figure out if I was supposed to fill the bar or not. I would have also liked the idea that you would have to use a bad quip for portion of the day, and depending on which story, it would have more or less of an impact. I am really looking forward to the Weather and Interview future additions. Great job!

FoodEx by stesim 2023-05-05T17:44:43Z

The controls were really nice to use. It did take a little bit to figure out how to transport the food to the customers. Overall nice concept!
