Nice graphics and movement design, challenging but not too hard. I liked that on the way out you could take your time, and on the way back had to go fast.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD53 → Fetch! Good boys?

the bouncing mechanic for platforming is very interesting
Super solid mechanics, well done! Great job making so many levels that feel distinct, that's something I find really difficult. I thought the death effect was really cool too
Fun little platformer! Controls felt tight and difficulty is paced nicely. Also love the art, particularly the backgrounds.
Nice entry! It feels smooth and nice to play. Unfortunately I got a bit frustrated and gave up on I think the 4th level, because I couldn't figure out what you are supposed to do to avoid the boxes from triggering every time. Maybe some puzzle design trick could force the player to learn in a simpler level?
This is an interesting concept. I enjoyed it, but didn't see where the timer was. I like how the levels got more challenging as you advanced. Good Job!
that was really tough lol you did a great job on the sound design and particles, and the dog was cute too :) got a time of 7:49.95. i like the concept of going back through the level, almost makes me want a normal platformer with more puzzle elements like that. good work!
Buddy, you did really good!! That was really fun. Thanks for the great play
Challenging game but fun to play
I beat the game in 6:25. But can you do it faster?
I had a lot of tense moments dodging obstacles, and the difficulty curve felt satisfying. Great submission!

Very nice and responsive movement, I also liked the difficulty progression - gratz!
Devilishly challenging, indeed! Though not in the way I was expecting! The auto jump makes timing hard, for sure, but I wasn't quite prepared for the real challenge being trying to get back to the start as fast as possible. It seemed that I just couldn't wait for timing traps and just had to find the best way to run back the fastest without hitting anything or missing a jump. Definitely demanded mastery and it made it almost a puzzle game. The auto jump was a little hard to get used to, but certainly added to the uniqueness and challenge. Overall it was decently fun!
Made it through in about 6 minutes, but I forgot to save my exact time.
Cerebrus *is* a good boy.
Beat it in 5:25:64 first try! Good level design kept me engaged, first it seemed like a platformer but it was more like a puzzle game and planning your moves ahead of time after picking up the trident. Great concept and good execution.
I rage quit on this level, but that's because I'm bad at platforming - the game is very polished, good job! chrome_XLp4kZVej1.png
Nice Work and cool Idea! Get the Stick!
Nice job! These levels are really well designed. They are difficult, but you feel so close to getting it each time, that you just keep replaying it until you beat that level. A random detail, but I liked the death transition with the expanding/shrinking black circle. The only thing I question, is why is this dog jumping all the time! Made it to whatever level this was Screenshot 2023-05-02 164932.png
Simple mechanics but well executed! Good level design as well. Nice job!
I loved the dog, and liked how the game forces you to work with the timings without stopping the jumps. The sound of the traps is somewhat too loud, and it can feel odd to hear a sudden sound at the start of a level, when it's actually a trap on the other end of the screen, which you don't care about yet. It also took an embarassing amount of time to realize that traps' hitboxes don't cover the whole block, and the edges of the block can still be jumped on even with the trap active
Kind of a shame that the dog and its head is so small though. It took screenshotting and zooming to verify that the dog fetching a trident in hell was in fact the three-headed Cerberus. To me it looked at first like it just had an elongated face like a horse, and the other heads were ears.
Interesting take on a platformer, the constant bouncing makes it harder to plan your path for sure. I didn't make it all the way through, got stuck on the 5th or 6th level so I don't know if there were any other block types besides the spikes and the flamethrowers but they were interesting enough. The graphics are nice and polished, and the sound effects are nice, I think some background music would really help add to the vibe though.
The good boys like to bounce a lot.
I think my only criticism is that there's no music, so it just deafly quiet most of the time. Music makes the mood.
Was a good little platformer with nice graphics. I especially liked the sound accompanying the jumps very satisfying. The speeding up to get back to the starting points keeps the levels interesting.
