Very good game, the jumps feel super nice. Only problem is that there's no difficulty curve after I pickup the Clip at the top it's pretty much impossible to lose.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD49 → Stabler

@tejasvonly Thank you very much for your feedback. You are right. I add that clip to turn on kind of a god mode. But it should have been placed somewhere very unreachable. I couldn't do that properly because of the lack of time.
Fun concept, the staple player character is creative and I like the idea of having a limited amount of jumps you can perform. However, there's not much to do since you get five clips per book or paper you staple and there's 200 clips at the top of the platform, and there's not many places to go.
It's also easy to get stuck on the side of platforms and enemies, not to mention the papers and books can spawn on top of you and it's difficult to get them off.
@gamepopper Thanks for constructive feedbak. Working on a revise now.
Very fun idea and the concept is very nice. Sadly after gettin the clips at the top there is not much to do / you are way to overpowered so the game isn't challenging anymore. But overall I liked the game ^^
Nice concept for a game. The are some bugs with getting stuck on a wall or shelf after jumping and the game is a little bit too easy in my opinion, but beside that it is a cool game!
@zimny11 you are right game is still buggy. I couldnt refine it properly because of the time. But thanks for your constructive feedback. I'm working on it.
Great concept and I agree the jumps feels nice when you get the hang of it!
Very nice art and cool concept, I like the idea of movement that's controlled with charged jumps like that but maybe the arena isn't quite so well suited for it, it's a bit awkward. Anyway good job making it!
A really interesting idea haha, I love the title. The gameplay itself could have used a little more introduction and the enemies startled me at first, but after a little bit I got into the swing of things. The movement felt a little clanky at times: but that makes sense, its a stapler . Great job!
I loved the aesthetic too!
@ethankessler thankss so much. :))
@shp thanks for your comment. You are right I didnt have time for proper level design. But I am working on it.
Had a lot of fun but wow it gets hard ! The gameplay is original and fun so great job !
Wow how is this game so well balanced is beyong me ahah great job! The difficulty threshold is perfect. Lovely and unique game. I had no idea stabling (is that the right word?) things would feel so satisfying.

Wow! Great idea, great artstyle and great work overall! If I had to criticise something, it would be that you can get stuck on the side of walls and shelves which prevent you from falling and therefore taking out enemies. But to be honest, this is such a minor detail that it doesn't even matter in my opinion.
All I can say is: great job!
@lazzor and @betamorfosis thanks for your great comments :)))
Nice art and fun idea. Well done!
The idea is funny... but it's somewhat unplayable. Loosing health to move is nasty.
Hey there, that game is very nice and it's idea is so great  I had a blast jumping and smashing books down to the ground! Movement felt a little clonky, so to make it even more fun one can work on this. Sometimes you don't feel in total control how far and high to jump to nail the papers onto the ground even faster.
Thank's for sharing!
The art is absolutely great! The idea is also very funny. The issue I find is that the horizontal movement of the stapler is too slow. The game also didn't change over time, it didn't get any harder. Slowly adding new mechanics, or having new maps would be good.
This was an amazing idea! I loved the concept and the pun "Unstaple". The controls felt super smooth, and the gameplay was pretty addicting. I got a score of 600. My biggest complaint was that you could get stuck in midair or on walls way too easily. Also, it would have been nice if the different types of books/papers gave different rewards. That's about all I have to say. Great game!
This is such and unique an awesome concept that was well executed! It's actually very satisfying to staple enemies down after you land on them and the animations and visuals are well polished and match the concept well. The only improvements/enhancements I could think of would be maybe have the enemies spam their fire a little less so that it doesn't feel like the are ganging up on the player or have the game get progressively harder with levels where on higher levels the enemies can fire more often. Regardless, it's the most fun Ludum dare 49 compo game I've played so far!
I like the movement/combat/platforming mechanic a lot, the slow buildup of the "jump force" and the visual feedback on the stapler are great.
I played quite a lot of indie platformers and I don't recall such a mechanic.
I'd love to see more variety - it's nice to strategize and learn the way of the stapler but after some time I was missing having some horizontal movement speed - I can imagine having multiple modes of movement where the the STABLER is only one of them.
Solid entry, nicely done in such a short time and a weird linguistic twist on the theme :)
