This is a really cool game. It's a simple concept, but you need to use a lot of strategy to manage the airports properly. You really have to think two steps ahead in order to get everyone to their destinations, since only taking people directly to their destination winds up being too slow. I think it's an excellent example of a game having a lot of depth for relatively little complexity. Great job!

@superpokeunicorn thank you for playing my game, and thank you for the kind words.
When I started playing I thought "this is a bit slow to get going". Then, when the next airport opened and everything started to kick off...my stress levels started to rise. You know you're onto something good when I shout out loud: "STOP OPENING NEW AIRPORTS!".
Excellent work - well executed and a great idea. I look forward to reviewing it properly.

Very nice game. Cool idea and challnging gameplay. It will be nice if you could navagate the camara around the world using the mouse wheel. In addition, maybe giving some feedback with colors\sound to the player how he is doing.
Amazing work!

Really cool game, the panic rush got me sweating a lot! The timing of opening airport is really good too, I don't know how it's determined but a new airport always open just when I *almost* got the hang of it.
I only have a bit of complain about the HUD, I'm playing on a big TV at work so having to constantly go from bottom left to top/middle right is really tiring (and miss clicks). Maybe you could put the UFO control somewhere closer to the airport info panel?

Very nice indeed. Didn't expect it to get chllenging after the initial two airports :) If you consider adding some navigation tweaks and fleshing out the UI, this game could really make it out there, otside the LD I mean. Good work!

@aviv871 I agree that more feedback to the player would have been great. I really would have liked to have a warning that tells the player when one of the airports is near its passenger limit. A function that makes the Mouse wheel rotate the would be a great addition, but did you know if you hover the mouse over an airport in the HUD, the world rotates toward the airport.
@avavt I agree the transport panel and Info panel should have been closer to each other.
Thank you for your feedback, I will use this if I decide to continue working on the game.

The graphics are cute, especially the UI. The music fits the mood well. The difficulty increase could be smoother, it gets very hard around the time you go up a lvl.
I think this game would be more fun if it was focused more on tactical decisions rather than being pressed for time, for example if it was more about trying to figure out how to make the most profit. You could consider a UI that lets the player plan the moves further ahead of time, to reduce the need for frantic clicking, and maybe slow down the flight time to give the player more time to think about tactical decisions.
jk5000
2017-04-25 18:07
@avon I agree that increasing the UFO's flying speed very likely would make the game bit more fun to play. I considered having some kind of way that player could change the game speed.
I believe that the tactics is in focus in the game. When the UFO e.g. are in an airport the time stops, this mean while you are in the airport there will not be any changes in the number of passengers in any of the airports. This means that you have all the time you needs to deride where to go to next and which passengers you want to bring to the next airport. An important part of the game is constantly thinking ahead. It is e.g. important you not only move passengers that needs to go the next airport.
I thought of making a system, so you could plan some routes. But because passenger numbers at the airports constantly changes, it is hard to make such a pre-planning system. And while the UFO flying from airport to airport, you have nothing to do.
And yes the increase of difficulty is perhaps to fast, but I would not have the game to be to long. For many game jams players a short game is often preferred.
Thank you @avon for the feedback, it was really great.
COol concept. As someone else mentioned, at first I thought it was going a bit slow, but then the difficulty increased and it became more challenging! Liked it. Really liked the ufo sound and animation. Thanks and good job! Would be nice if the camera tracked the UFO as it went from place to place. (if you want some feedback on improvement).

2017-04-26 07:52
@binaryferret all kind of feedback are very welcome. I do not necessarily agree with all the feedback, but this do not means that the feedback not are apprised. Your idea of making some kind of camera track following the UFO while it moves from one airport to another airport could have be very cool. The slow start is there to give the player some time to learn the corer game mechanics, but I agree it is a bit slow.
Thank you @binaryferret for the feedback, and in general never be afraid to give feedback.
Looks and sounds good, plays pretty well and there's a nice challenge in the end, before the inevitable conclusion.
The very beginning is too slow. You should add the third station after just a two trips, not 8 as it seems to be currently. The GUI is also problematic to the degree where I stopped using the station panels altogether.
One potential solution to the GUI problem would be to move the UFO panel functionality to the station panels. Each station panel would have a GO button, except the one where you are currently parked. The current panel would have the + and - buttons for adding passengers. The UFO stats still need to be shown in the separate panel, but this is not an issue as it would be a non-interactable element.
Good effort overall, have an :alien::airplane: (the 🛸 (flying saucer) emoji is so brand spanking new that it probably won't show up yet, too bad)
jk5000
2017-04-26 10:36
@huvaakoodia You are absolutely right, the GUI/HUD could have been better. I am still not sure what would be the best solution for the HUD, but if I continue working on the game, I will differently make some changes to the HUD.
And thank you for the great feedback.

2017-04-26 13:44
This is a really fun and well done game! I think you should open a third Airport a bit sooner, but after that it was pretty challenging.
However after a few airports opened it took me a bit of time every turn to figure out which airports are full of which type of destination. It might make it easier if you put every traveller in the airport with the appropriate color in the boxes, instead of having a the list of destination with numbers (hope the wording makes sense).
jk5000
2017-04-26 14:27
@navot the HUD need some updates. I believe I understand your idea, and something like your solution would be great.
And thank you for your feedback.

Outside of improving the UI, the game is fantastic. It is pretty stressful, but it helped that the game paused when you were at an airport. That way it becomes somewhat like a puzzle for determining the shortest route to get the passengers to their destinations. Great job!
Nice!
The whole planet thing was cool visually, but felt awkward to scroll around. Therefore I love that you made it so you click the airports on the side directly!
As others have said the it's cool how you have to plan ahead, and the upgrade system is very nice! If you add more to this game it could turn into something really fresh, since the whole concept feels very innovative.
The graphics for the planet could use some more work, but it's not bad either. I like the UFO. Graphically I like the UI, but it might be possible to improve how it works like others have said.
Well done!
jk5000
2017-04-26 18:53
@pixzleone I agree that the rotation of the planted i not really perfect, but at least it gives the player a way to navigate around the planted. And if I continue working on the game, I will make more things to do.
Thank you for the kind words and thank you for the feedback.

Wow, I found that strangely addicting. The graphics may be simple but the mental work you have do to optimize travel routes and passenger destinations to get the best result can be quite satisfying. It's practically a game ready for shipment on mobile devises or something, it's amazing it was done in two days. Bez nazwy-1.jpg
Really cool take on the theme. Simple concept, yet quite challenging.
BTW if you plan on working on this further, I think this game could do really well on mobile platforms.

I'll add my voice to those saying that the go/airport buttons would feel better if closer together.
Also, this may just be because I'm tired, but at first it wasn't clear to me why passengers that didn't need to go to the particular airport (UFOport?) you're at wouldn't stay on the craft. Haveing them stay at the airport you just went to *does* give it an additional tactial layer though! (I also totally missed that time stops when landed, but that's on me...)
One last quible: You've to click the start-button twice in the beginning.
Sorry for all the negativety, but overall I enjoyed it!
jk5000
2017-04-28 07:17
Answers to @remco : - The HUD differently needs some changes, and the idea of moving the "go to menu" closer to the "UFO info panel" is absolutely one of the solution to the HUD problem. - It is not super clear in the game, that the time stops when the UFO is in an airport. Again a HUD problem. - The dobbed click on the start button, is fortunately a very easy problem for me to solve. But I am super happy you mention it. - In a way I think it is great that you did not understand the tactic element from the beginning of the game. In the beginning of the game the focus is on learning the the player how to move passengers from airport to airport. I hope the player see the more tactical element of the game, when it is no longer enough just to move passengers from airport to airport.
Thank you @remco for your feedback. And to me you did not too sound negative. You just sounds interested in helping me, to make the game better.

This game is excellent (and very addictive), a lot of other games I've seen are way too difficult or short, but you have grasped the players attention very well. Maybe, as others have said, increasing the ufo speed may make it more engaging and also the hud may need a little improvement. But the foundations of the game are there and are very strong, I'm looking forward to any updates to this game!!!
jk5000
2017-04-28 14:28
@saurabh for this game I tried to focus on balance the difficulty, so it would start easy, and then relative slowly gets harder and harder. But to be totally honest, to make a game that is not too easy or too hard is super difficult.
Thank you @saurabh for the kind words and thank you for feedback.

I really enjoyed this game, its a good puzzle, graphics were pretty good and music fits, tough it does get a bit repetitive.
Gameplay is pretty fun, and pretty fast I knew which airports were close together and which werent and which colors I should take together, I built a buffer airport to hub between runs, it ws gettign pretty interesting, I do note that +2 capacity in your UFO is miles better than +5 airport capacity, at least while it is relevant.
I think I played around with somethign which Im not surei f it is intended or not, when unloading into an airport with say +3 and airport at 8/10 the number goes to 11/10 and I wouldnt lose, I assumed this worked this way every time, but then suddenly one trip I lost, it seems an extra passenger was generator after I landed and that triggered the loss. Not sure how the original concept was supposed to work, but that was my only grievance, the game is deceptively fun, I tought I was going to get bored but it has hidden layers of depth, very good entry! now I'll go for another run and try to beat @shodanon
Cool take on the theme. I think instead of selecting an airport then hitting go, you could have just had the airport button be the "go" button. Had fun though, nice entry!
Pretty good concept! Got till the last airport (the black one) before finally getting lazy. There also seems a bug where sometimes the number of people in the airport isn't the same as the people you can transport? For example airport had 2 oranges but in the selector there was only 1 orange you could transport. Really liked the game -- there is a really nice flow to the game once you understand it. And please pick a more readable font, that 'a' letter hurts my soul. Good job!
jk5000
2017-04-29 07:36
@firewill when an airport have more then the max number of passengers capacity, you always loses. The number of passengers you bring to another airport is add to number of passengers in the airport, unless it is passengers there has this airport as their destination. In really rare cases you would perhaps see a passenger gets generated after you are landed in an airport, and this bug I will fix latter.
@maggardjosh The reason there is no "go to"-button in the "UFO info"-panel, is because it makes it very easy to forget to get passengers loaded on the UFO, before flying to the next airport.
@undefinist the info UFO Panel is constant showing the correct number of passengers. The "go to"-menu only gets the passenger numbers when it opens. This does in rare cases means that the numbers of passengers in the info panel and "go to"-menu is different by -/+ 1 passenger. This is of course a bug I have to do something about in updated version of the game. I personally like the font, but it is also very likely i change it.
Thank you to all of you for some really great feedback. And I am happy you liked the game.
jk5000
2017-04-29 12:24
@undefinist @firewill I now fixed the bugs.
@jk5000 fun game! very challenging and charming.
Cool concept. A bit slow-paced. I almost didn't make it past the beginning where it's just back and forth between the two airports for a while. That 3rd airport showed up about 2 seconds before I gave up. If there were a way to make it a bit more fast-paced, maybe more leveling up and bonuses, I think it could be really fun.

I have also rated the game, have a nice day :)
Interesting concept. It starts a little slow though. I think it would have been better to start with three airports right away, rather than forcing the player to click between two destination without any options for what feels like a long time.
Also, the escape button killed the game instantly, I was expecting at least a confirmation dialog (I mistook it for the pause button and accidentally quit everything ).
Overall, a neat idea and solid execution that would benefit from better pacing. Keep it up!

@for-science of cause a pause menu would have been great when you press escape. I will most likely make a pause menu for the next version of the game. Starting with 3 airport is also an option, or perhaps I will give the player the third airport much faster.

@richard-michael-smith @jk5000 @aviv871 Yeah, once you give > 100 points worth of comments, more doesn't influence the balance. It's designed to give less commented games a chance, and not turn Feedback Friends into just a popularity contest tool :) Once you get the ball rolling thanks to Feedback Friends, to get more exposure it's worth to promote your game through other channels, like twitch streams of LD games, twitter, new posts and all that.
Still, Feedback Friends remains useful all the time, since at the moment ldjam.com doesn't allow you to sort games or even track mentions, responses or your own comments.

I really like it. It starts off a little slow with just going back and forth between the first two airports. The music and sound is nice. I think some sort of score system would be nice.
I like the idea, but I got a little frustrated because I had a lot of trouble rotating the planet. I wish there was a visual indicator that an airport has passengers waiting instead of having to click and check UI. Also maybe this could turn into a puzzle game where you have limited turns and have to get everyone to their respective airports within a certain number of moves.
Nice work, I love the sound effects that you've given, that add a really nice touch to the game. The gameplay itself started off quite slow but soon it accelrated into a much faster, more frantic speed, which was really enjoyable when that happened, however it could get slightly tedious. The graphics did look good as well, and I did enjoy how you could see the UFO flying from place to place. It gave the game a real sense of character. The music did get a tad repetitive as you progressed, but I really enjoyed the end game
I rarely see UE4 games, maybe because they are hard to make. That one was pretty nice and addicting! Liked the gfx & audio. It's too slow at the beginning for me, but it's an okay game!
jk5000
2017-05-02 20:23
@adrian0901 I have used unity, blender, game maker, UDK, Construct 2 and UE4 plus some other software to make game in. To me UE4 is the absolute easiest to use.
Cool gameplay maybe more polish and that will be very cool :)

Cool game idea, very enjoyable. I especially liked choosing the upgrades.
Hey this is great. This reminded me of Mini Metro, another game that I love. Especially when you level up and get to pick an upgrade. Really love that you got a tutorial built into the game, always appreciate when Ludum Dare entries have that. I like that I can Rotate the world. The co-ordinates seem to not match my mouse sometimes but I like that it's responsive and easy to turn. I like that I can select cities either by clicking on them in the world or using the list down the side. Would love to see visual representation of the passengers inside the cities themselves.

2017-05-03 09:01
Looks really cool, but I can't play it since the game doesn't support Linux and it doesn't work through wine for me. If you could provide a Linux build that would be great!
I Played this on Livestream Today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_6NTcovuI0
The camera controls got totally messed up in my playthru and it meant I couldn't play anymore. Having to manually load and unload passengers was not intuitive nor fun. I think setting the camera rotation based on world space rather than the rotation of the planet would really improve the experience.
This was very interesting! I wasn't expecting this 'sim' kind of game so it was refreshing to play. The moving the world around got a little messed up at times but it was an interesting mechanic.
jk5000
2017-05-04 06:22
@occultone @casualmaverick I know that the camera is not super great, and I will fix it later. But a better way to control the camera is to move the mouse over the "airport HUD", this automatic rotates the camera to the different airports.
@occultone to understand why the game have a manually load and unload system, you have to play the game for a bit longer time.
But thank you for some great feedback.
A solid little puzzler! It becomes very interesting after a few minutes, but the beginning feels really silly in its simplicity. I think the game should probably start with 3 airports right away, since there is more or less no decision-making before that point. Also, I would definitely recommend a longer background music track, or several tracks that change randomly over time, it must have looped fourty times during my game! Very strong entry overall, great work.
I played the game on my stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/139989925 (at 1:36:21)

Once I have time I will play more and change the rating (although I can't promise to change my comment >-<) It was a nice, interesting little game for some time, and the camera was a little strange. Nice, polished game. The whole 3D Graphics with planet and UFO would not have been necessary for the gameplay itself, but it adds a lot. Relaxing sound.
Great example of making complex gameplay with simple mechanics. The game looks good and feels stable. I find this kind of gameplay extremely stressful for some reason, so i'm personally not a big fan of these games, but this one still kept me playing for quite a while. It's also nice to so someone else use UE4. Good job!

Very nice game. Easy to understand, and it's works!!! Maybe it's too long at the beginning to start, but after it's great! Good job. It remind me the game : Mini-metro ^^
I love Mini Metro and this game was obviously inspired of it, but honestly this didn't do it for me. I didn't like that you have to manually click to board every passenger to your ship. Also the music started to get annoying really quickly. On the other hand, I think the graphics were good for a compo game.
jk5000
2017-05-06 20:51
@justus-pousi I really like your honest feedback. I believe that a lot of people will not like all the micromanagement there is in this game. And I agree the music could have been better.

Fun little game! Like the simple mechanics. Also reminded me of Mini-metro, of course. A little too slow starting out before any interesting choices can be made. More upgrades (only got UFO capacity and airport capacity, not sure if there were others?) would be interesting (speed?).
jk5000
2017-05-06 21:14
@jimbly there is only those two upgrades right now, but a speed upgrade could absolutely also have been an great upgrade for the UFO.

2017-05-07 01:31
The game is really cool, but it does start a bit slow.
Really great work! Very challenging, thoughtful, and complete for a compo entry.
Not sure if it's been said, but some thoughts on the UI: I would have really liked if the different colored passengers all lined up in similar columns between all of the airports (with a strike/empty for that airport's target.. uh, demographic). Would have made the mental burden of optimizing a little better for me, I think... Though that would necessarily make the airport elements longer.
Also... Are the passengers OTHER UFOs?!
What a cute game. It's like mini metro on a globe. I think that the interface needs some tweaks but it's a fairly fun game apart from that. I think the difficulty of the game could be increased a bit, the first path of the game drags a little.

This game is really cool. I like how it slowly eases into it. It's interesting how it can get quite tough for such a simple concept. Definitely one of the most well polished games this LD!
Very fun game, I probably spent the most time on this game over any others. It was interesting to see another take on the passenger/destination genre, I thought the lesser emphasis on logistics and the auto-pause were GREAT changes. I could sit there and really plan out my movements that way. I'll be honest though, I hardly ever looked at the center of the screen. I really only paid attention to the corners where the UI was, so I would rather have had the UI close together to make clicking have less travel, and the player can still use the globe on the right side or something if they need the context + distance optimization.
jk5000

That was quite cute, I loved the ufo sounds!
Good job on the UI and accessibility, with the hovering over the airports etc. However the mechanics of clicking a small button to grab passengers was frustrating. Also I wasn't clear about the rules - would all passengers aboard get dumped at the arrival airport? I think that's how it works, but not sure. Also good work on the overall graphics, I liked the atmosphere glow you added there.
I got to 4th airport, not sure how much longer the game lasts. Good job!
jk5000
2017-05-09 20:41
@hegemege yes, passengers gets dumped at the next airport. The game ends when one of the airports has more passengers then there are room for. In the beginning of the game all airports has room for up to 10 passengers, so do one of them get more then 10 passengers the game is over.

Needs keyboard commands for some of the actions to make it easier/faster to interact, such as selecting a destination or go. I find myself adding passengers on one side of the screen, then choosing destination on the other, then moving back to the other side again just to say go; so I end up spending more time moving the mouse than passengers.

'Space Travel 15' holds a special place for me in this competition because it's the first game I played and commented on and it's still one of my favourites. (I know we're not supposed to say what ratings we gave but I'll say this: I've only given out a total of eight "Five Star" ratings in the OVERALL category having played 178 games (so far) and if you were to go looking for them elsewhere then you'd only find seven of them. :grinning:)
Really Innovative and interesting concept. Bit confused in start bt later on got the way to play and it gets challenging going furthur. Mechanics of game was really superb and would love have such mechanics my my game too. Please do try my game even :

Great game. It starts simple but it gets better and better as more airports are added The only downside is the UI. I had to move the mouse all the way from one corner of the screen to the other very fast and finding airports in the 3D world is not fast enough in later stages. Not sure if that's how you planned it.
Great work!

I myself am a big expert on a variety of games, but overwatch is extremely difficult for me. I can tell you that you can raise your rank without any problems. To do this you should definitely think about where you can apply to get such a boost. For example here experts can help with [overwatch 2 boosting](https://overwatch-boosting.com/) and I am extremely pleased that I turned to them for help. So if you also have problems in this game, you know what to do.

I think the game should probably start with 3 airports right away, since there is more or less no decision-making before that point. Also, I would definitely recommend a longer background music track, or several tracks that change randomly over time, it must have looped fourty times during my game! Very strong entry overall, great work.[Taxis Chertsey](https://taxichertsey.com/)

The game ends when one of the airports has more passengers then there are room for. In the beginning of the game all airports has room for up to 10 passengers, so do one of them get more then 10 passengers the game is over.[Walton Taxis](https://taxiwaltononthames.co.uk/)

Maybe, as others have said, increasing the ufo speed may make it more engaging and also the hud may need a little improvement. But the foundations of the game are there and are very strong, I’m looking forward to any updates to this gameTaxi Weybridge

Before you travel, research your destination. Learn about its customs, culture, language, and any potential safety concerns. Plan your itinerary: Decide what you want to do and see while you're there, and make a rough itinerary. Keep in mind that you may not be able to do everything, so prioritize the things that are most important to you. Pack smart: Pack light and bring only what you need. Make a list of essentials like clothes, toiletries, and medication. Check the weather forecast and pack accordingly.[Silicone Baby Bibs](https://jutionsilicone.com/blog/benefits-of-screen-printing-on-silicone-baby-bibs)
