Great concept, loved the game mechanic - I tried to make a catapult out of the small and long block but it catapulted me only half a way :)
Music was amazing. Graphic could make some improvements - it was lacking some particles (especially lava).
@gummibot thanks! The catapult is a great idea, I didn't actually try it until you mentioned it. It seems you can throw a block down hard enough with a correctly built catapult to get you pretty high! Great technique!.
Agreed I was totally planning on doing way more with the graphics but just wasn't able to fully commit my weekend time to ludum dare :(, next time for sure!

I finally did it!
It took me lots of different attempts and strategies, and at one point I almost gave up...but the long block precision placement is definitely the meta ;)
Dang, can't tell you how much fun I had with this! The concept for this game is awesome. I think it could use some adjustments: - Green and white blocks are kinda meh, I didn't really use them for any strategies - Maybe some variance in the design of the pit (like the hole in the middle instead of the sides, only one side has a pit, etc. - Some kind of powerup would be useful maybe. Its a really hard game! But very rewarding to beat - I really like the little robot guy, and i see you said above you didn't have much time, but other stuff needs some more amp in the graphics department
Dude I seriously loved this game. Played for like 30 min until I won lol. Nice work!

Nice game. A challenging build your on platformer on time. The first time I start the level there doesn't seem to be any blocks available but after a restarts its ok. The game was a bit too difficult for me and I would've liked a couple of easy "short" levels to start with just to make me feel like I know what I'm doing and then BAM! Follow up with a tricky level that I'd try and try again. Well executed!
@william-corrin woo thanks for your feedback! I agree with all of it! I'm going to clean it up a bit to have it in a slightly better place after the rating period is over. I also don't use the green and white blocks for the most part :).
@cogcomp Thanks for the feedback. I would certainly like to add more levels / level variation in the future, good suggestion.
This game is strangely addicting. I kept playing for a long while until I beat it, good work!
I like the concept and I enjoyed frantically slinging blocks over the wall in hopes that I can get closer to the top. Didn't realize until I got to the comments that it's actually possible to win (I'm very bad at this game). Tons of fun though, and the models, environment, and particles look really good. Awesome job!

This is a fun concept. Was there any specific idea that inspired it?
It all works well together. The graphics are good. The way the physics respond seems to fit. The sounds enhanced the game. I like that all the other bopes seem to be watching in judgement.
Great job making a game in 48 hours!

This is a great take on the theme! Great job and in only 16 hrs! My only complaint is I was to terrible at the game lol
Great game. Had lots of fun throwing the blocks over the wall, even if I didn't climb very high.
Lots of fun trying to survive. I only reach 3rd of the high after several tries. Go back a triy tomorrow. Really fun thanks !
Took me a minute to figure out what I actually needed to do / avoid, but after that it really was an awesome physics puzzle with a menacing timed twist... that black beam that creeps up higher and higher, ever so slow but deadly.
Simplistic and yet very awesome graphic style! Very fitting music to the "you could die instantly, and probably will soon" mood.
Overall a great game that I will also check on again later after the voting period when you bring out a new version
@sacredbacon, @blockerz, @idunnyx, @harmadillo, @nenechico, @games-by-tom thanks for your feedback and complements! Yea it's certainly a bit too hard. I'll have to see how much time I'll have for adding levels / fixing difficulty after the rating period. I did just finish up a rather simple graphics overhaul, which frankly didn't take long I should have done it during the jam haha. I'll post it soon as a test update (not to be rated though). That version also has an increased size of the white / green block, which I'm not sure if it helps much but maybe a tiny bit. Inspiration wise I think it was mostly the theme that made me think of it, I have played a good amount of silly block building games over the years so thought I would try one.
Cool game idea. A bit tough though!
jesus fooking christ your game is hard xD i threw so many pieces flying in the precipitation of trying to get them quick ahah
@daniel-username @enderswype hehe yeah it is too hard oops, I must be playing too many souls like games lately :).
Great game ! The concept is so original, and it's really well made, I had a ton of fun.
Good job
Cool idea and execution, physics game have that nice feel in their responsiveness. I like how I had to keep building and preparing for future dangers. My recommendation would be to add some type of tutorial level.

I like a well executed physics-based stacking game, and this is definitely one of them. The music was great, though thanks to the block shapes I found myself constantly humming the Tetris theme while playing.
I didn't manage to save Bope, unfortunately. I'd say the game is too difficult for me, most of the time I end up frantically throwing blocks vaguely in the direction of the pit hoping some of them stick in the right places. ;) I guess making the blocks stick to the cursor until they are released over the pit would help solve that issue, though I'm not sure if that wouldn't take away some of the physics-based wild fun the game has right now.
