This is a pretty nice game and I had a lot of fun playing it! Also works great on Linux via Proton ;)

This is a pretty nice game and I had a lot of fun playing it! Also works great on Linux via Proton ;)
Was about to go to bed, but wanted to try one last game. Couldn't have made a better choice than this game. Nothing like a soft and soothing rhythm-game with nicely arranged Canon in C playing in the back. Well done on the music, well-executed rhythm mechanic, and all the ever-changing effects and animations of the seasons in the background!
I've decided I'm gonna play this again tomorrow before I go to bed.
Cool experiential toy. I couldn't figure out the game part - I tried just letting the stars go by without pressing space, and it slowed the animation and kept the music on rhythm, but I wasn't sure if I was having any penalty otherwise. When I tried the first time, the display and music were really neat - I liked the progression through different graphic elements and seasons, with the butterflies and seeds. Very neat work, and a unique game.
@zyper Thank you for playing and feeback! :)
@fnkee That is a great encouragement for me! Thanks for plyaing! ;)
@dob Nice observation. You gain 50 score for perfect and 10 score for miss and inaccurate stars. The penalty for miss is weak and the timing is not strict, for less frustration (as the code for timing logic is not that accurate) I guess this makes this game more of a short animation rather than a rhythm game, which could be improved indeed.
Thanks for your feedback ;)
Nice. I was a little bit confused to not really know if I need to press space under the water or on the bar. Nice music.
This was so calming to play before bed thank you for a nice relaxing game. :)
@rockford Thanks for playing! Good point there, indeed I found it quite difficult to make a clear indication. The bar was a panic compromise after some struggle XD
@clyde Thank you for commenting! nice dream ;)
Was hoping the difficulty would ramp up a little near the end! Love rhythm games and was hoping for a challenge, haha. Music selection was great as well! Good effort:)
Good game, it was nice and relaxing! I like the rhythm mechanic
@alec-cunningham Thanks for playing and suggestion! :D yes the difficulty level needs some fine tuning for better feedback. I'll probably take some time figuring it out.
Vibe is awesome in this one. loved those dancing plants. Good job man.
@smashcrate Thanks for playing and encouragement :D
Very cute game about the lifecycle of flowers, growing and passing on seeds! Music was great too, how it slowly built up over the course of the game. All in all very comfy experience, great entry!
Really impressive game, especially the musical accompaniment is worth noting, but the rest of the game is also at a good level
@captaindreamcast Thank you for trying this game!;)
@cactusnyak Thanks for playing! This is my first attempt to make some song arrangement, and it's great to hear your encrouagement.
Really cool game made with scratch.I can’t believe your ability to program.
@poietic-ruby Thanks for playing! The coding part is fine, just hard-coding and monekey patch everywhere ;)
Didn't expect a rhythm game for this theme! Definitely an interesting take on harvest. The animations sync well with the music, and I was able to get perfect (I think) playing by ear only, which is good for rhythm game! One feedback I have is maybe adding a score counter to keep track how many notes the player hit during the play through.
It's a nice experience. I like the music and the art and the whole vibe. But on the other end it's got not much of a game. Pressing space when a star is on the bar or letting it go does not make much of a difference. And sometimes the music was out of sync with the stars.. and if you keep the beat, having to hit space off-beat to score is quite odd.
It's got potential, it could even make some kind of relaxing experience on mobile if you develop it further.
@papaya Thanks for feedback! yes a score counter or progress indicator(like a percentage) would be nice to add.
@tanis Thank you for your comment and suggestion! Indeed lack of challenge and off-beat would be the major problems that impact player experience. good point there! ;)
Even though the art feels like its made in paint, I think it looks nice since its a coherent artstyle that you've used throughout the whole game. I like that the environment changes over the course of the song. And I really enjoyed the funky flowers :sunglasses: Good job!
@ekoxe I love these funky flowers too ;) I was planing for some water color painting art, but still it turns out as programmer art haha Thanks for playing!
Nice to play a different kind of game. Very enjoyable and I don't think it needs to be harder. Sometimes it's just nice to relax and press space a couple of times without any pressure while watching the world go by.
@cogcomp Thanks for playing! Totally agree about the difficulty issue. Wish I had enough time fine tuning that...
I really enjoy the relaxed and calming feeling, and the environmental and musical progression over time in the game!
Hey, arranging a classical piece... that's a good idea! I might use that one in the future. I liked the visualization a lot, the way it changed over the course of the song. Can't say I've seen anything quite like it in LD before. Well done! :)
@eddrw Thanks for playing! It is great that you enjoyed this game :)
@caeonosphere Thanks for playing and feedback! I barely composed anything before, but it turns out that mixing up some song that I already knew is super fast. Just some simple beat, bass, and trying out some flutes and strings, and I got some piece that sounds not bad :D
Short but fun. The animation livened it up a lot, both the trails on the note…star…things and the dancing flowers. It was cool seeing the flowers shift to having their petals drift away—I thought it might be doing a “change of seasons” kind of thing and was interested to see where that went, but then the song ended :grinning: Nice work.
Nice game! Loved the Canon in C arrange. The dancing flowers were great!
@luhuchiha Thank you for playing!
@mahalis Good point! It should be better to develop further the "season change" idea, or add something that makes player feel "complete" or "over". Originally I just did the petals drifting to be consistent with the music endings. :)
Nice game! too bad that it wasn't coded in plain C too :D (or I guess making the song in C# would have worked too :D )
@grid96 Thanks for playing! That's a good point :D too bad unity doesn't support C
Good job getting this much done for compo! It's a great base to expand on in the future :)
