I like it! backpack heroes meets super auto pets. took a while to understand the mechanics but it was nice. I'd like to be able to rearrange the "backpack" but understand why it is not there :) some animations / sounds would be welcome but there are so many mechanics that they might just be out of scope.

Color me addicted! I've been playing this game for too long at this point, for its simplicity it's very addicting! I love just (re)arranging my rings to summon big monsters. Game is pretty self explanatory, but hard to master. "Matchmaking" seems a bit rough sometimes, but for a compo game, very impressive! Will get back to this later, I want bigger monsters.
@jazkottaja - yeah i had music prepared but ran out of time to implement it, didn't even got to making the sounds at all.
@kepsert I like that addicted color on you :p About the "Matchmaking", you only face enemies that played the same amount of rounds as you did, so technically the only difference is the random shop and your decisions - balancing might be a bit off, but overall you should never face any enemy that had more gold to use than you ;D
Very addictive and beautiful in its simplicity. Stuck in it longer than I should have. Great job!
Art - my respect!

I've never actually anything quite like this. It feels like the game has a lot of depth in it that could take some time to figure out, which is neat, and the graphics style was really funny and enjoyable. Well done!

A cool Super Auto Pets esque game. Amazing that you put it in the 48 hours. Cool concept.

Very competent auto-battler! Impressive work for 48 hours, congrats!
Some animations or effects would make it easier to understand what's going on in-battle.
This game is surprisingly deep to play. I can clearly feel the positive feedback of "the more skilled you are, the better your performance". The balance is great!
Impressive work! Cool to have a technically multiplayer game in a game jam. Could use a bit of polish and usability improvements (kept trying to sell things, but at least there's a confirmation :D). Very cool though
Concept is strong and works well. The main thing lacking I think is game juice/attack animations, to make the combat a bit more entertaining. But from a game design/balancing point of view, the game is interesting for sure. With a bit work on the presentation it could be incredible.
Wish there was more to it but the overall production value is already pretty high for a compo submission. Awesome stuff.
Very cool. The balance of attack vs. defense and the various upgrades will make or break this sort of game, and here it seems close enough to balanced to work. Having previous players act as the opponents is great and keeps the opponents fresh and challenging. I wonder what the opponents will look like in a few weeks time.
Awesome game! Lots of strategy, and I loved the stacking puzzle + battler combo!
I liked the idea of arranging rings on the hand but it felt very random whether I was presented with anything I could afford and often ended up with no space to use any of the merge mechanics because I'd just been filling fingers with what I could afford to survive.

The amount of different combinations you can create is a neat feature. Love the character designs. I think it lacks some visual feedback which could further enhance the experience
I have defeated Anny and am waiting at round 100 for the next challenger.
I also found a bug with selling and buying many things at once. It possibly also felled Anny.
Double post (site error)
@googlefrog WOW - Anny was one of my initial runs i did to have some kind of "final boss" anticipating there being someone who enjoys getting the perfect set and beating the "champion" - the title is yours now :D
I didn't knew about the bug so far, gonna try to replicate it somehow and see whats wrong, thanks for the information and the time you put into my game! <3
image.png The bug happened when I sold all my fingers and refreshed back up to this setup. There was a ghost ring on my ring finger that couldn't be sold and was blocking placement. So I clicked play and then instantly died, without a battle. Still a great game though. I had a setup that looked very similar to Anny, but won each time due to how the numbers panned out, and it wasn't even all diamonds. So it should be quite a challenge.
I kinda know why that ghost ring thing happens as that was one of the bugs before, just have to figure out how the code manages to make it happen this time, was pretty sure i made that extra stable before the release o.o
Loved the uncommon gem references! Very nice. And very technical :) I wasn't very good at it haha

- Very interesting idea - One thing I would add is the possibility to maybe move the rings before the battle when you get to see the opponent. - I was a bit confused at first, didn't expect the 3 types of rings to have color variations.
