Having not played Black and White, but having played a lot of Rimworld, I have to say you captured the sheer terror of a dry lightning storm. Well done.

Unfortunately, because of your unity problems there isn't much here. But what is here is a solid foundation. The controls feel tight enough just moving around.
I really liked the gambling system but I wish there was a way to keep track of all the stats. My rate of fire was so high at one point I hit it too many times then went into the next level with some terrible debufs. A lot of fun though.
I'm not sure why but when I played it in the itch.io player, the screen, except the text, was black. I was just clicking around and won three games without losing a hand.
Then I used the zip file and could see everything and lost in 2 hands. Just goes to show my luck I suppose. Great concept and execution.
@kevin-liu Thanks man! I appreciate it. There were a couple things that didn't break my way when in those last few hours that I think would have helped. Mainly, a more robust unlock system. I'm excited with how it turned out and will probably keep working on it in the future.
@fanmanpro Definitely agree with a lot of points you made. Balancing and leveling up was something I had planned on doing. I was also planning on making a ladder style room system like FTL but just ran out of time.
@philstrahl Thanks so much for playing this. Yeah, I realize now how counterintuitive some of the controls are but this was my first LD. I really appreciate all the feedback and look forward to working on this some more in the future. I will admit when I saw the comment was a video I wasn't sure I could watch it cause I've never watched anyone play my game before (except my older brother, with me constantly over his shoulder) so I really respect that you took the time to play it and give me feedback!
I'm not sure why, but the game almost instantly crashes on me after about two seconds.
Really enjoyed watching some of the stream, and wish I could have participated this year (stupid masters thesis). Any chance you would do a debrief video similar to your "Making of PokeyPoke" videos? I'm not a great programmer/artist/designer and like getting to see how ideas actually get implemented.
