Having not played Black and White, but having played a lot of Rimworld, I have to say you captured the sheer terror of a dry lightning storm. Well done.

Everything is a bit unbalanced, but still a bit of fun to shoot raiders and the art is nice. Music and sound would have been nice. Would love to see this if you end up polishing it.
This is awesome! Wish there were sound; would love to listen to the sound of smiting raiders with the lightning bolt!
Ah, the little brother of tribal tension :smile: You basically said most things yourself. The game is very unbalanced, at some point you have so much lifeforce that you don't know what to do with it anymore.
Maybe there should be a downside of having too many people. Maybe a food system? As it stands, the convert raiders spell is very much overpowered.
That said, it is a fun experience while it lasts and I would love to see it finished.
I had a lot of fun converting raiders to villagers and then consuming their life force, and plopping down houses. Most tense trying to fix the rapidly burning forest after too many wild lightning strikes.
The fire propagation effects and the graphics and polish are all there, just wish there was a bit more game.
I've only played one other god game this jam. An underrepresented genre for sure. I love the experience although there could have been alot more risk. Felt lacking in challenge but LOOKS and FEELS real nice.
Oh man, I loved Black and White, so it's nice to see that you used that as an inspirations. Nice looking game, too bad about the lack of sound.
@youpeoples I think it's for good reason! Hah. They really rely on lots of systems that push and pull on one another which is not something well suited to building in a short game jam. This might have made a better 72h Jam entry but I didn't have that time to commit.
when I read the description I was really expecting so much less. I ended up building such a giant city that I think I caused the game to crash haha. I had so many towers and there were raider bodies everywhere. I think for a game being unfinished as you stated this was in a very playable state and gave me lots of options. I didn't realize I could consume the trees at first but once I knew I could do that I was realizing how all the systems worked together.
I can see how music and sfx would of added to the experience but everything in the game worked together well even without those things.
I was curious what you are using to lock the mouse to the window that was a pretty cool feature. I noticed there was a .dll file, but wasn't sure if this was something you implemented or something anyone can get to use in their gamemaker games.
@barret Thanks!
