Good!
Crossbow Survivor =) A can't-lose formula. Plays great, it's almost a shame it's so short. Screenshot_1.png
Bombard for the win!
This is very cool! I get the giant but I almost died. The Da Vinci's machine is a great idea for the theme.
Made it to the giant but I couldn't figure out how to kill it. The arrows didn't seem to do anything? Otherwise I liked the game. The limited playing field made it quite a challenge to avoid the enemies while getting used to controlling the bow. Nice idea!
driving leonardo's wooden tank is a good pick, and the countdown to the giant sets a clear goal. the field felt empty in the first seconds, a landmark or a pointer to the first upgrade would help
A fine game :) Needs some umf, reactions to getting struck or smth
The giant has fallen. Really nice game! The controls were a bit hard, but nothing that caused any issues. I like the upgrade system. I just had to go through it a couple of times to figure out what worked best, and once I did, I won right away. So, all in all, a very nice game. Very well done!
Really cool take on Vampire Survivors! If I could offer one suggestion, I think the upgrades could be a bit more interesting, but other than that, it’s a great 3D game that fits the jam theme perfectly. Awesome work! Leonardo would have been proud of this game :)
I'm a sucker for these survivors-like games and this was a lot of fun! Having the bombard gun do so much more damage but also require you to orient yourself at the enemy was a good idea - it made me change my strat from just doing loops around the enemies. Also, having a big boss at the end kind of made me question my all-fire-rate-and-piercing strategy. The only issue I had was that I frequently instantly selected an upgrade because I was in the middle of spam clicking when I levelled up. Perhaps you could move the mouse cursor off the card area when you level up to prevent that. Otherwise, great game!
This was a fun one! The upgrades are really satisfying - I was impressed with the variety you were able to implement! Everything worked really well - controls, attacks, enemies, upgrades, etc.. I was a little confused about the movement at first, but it made sense as soon as I unlocked the turn in place upgrade. I agree one of the above comments that I accidentally selected a few upgrades while spam clicking, but I was able to survive so they must have been good haha. Overall a great game and I love this take on the theme!
Another Da Vinci game :D
Killing the enemies and progressing feels very satisfying, it hooks you right in. In the end, I often was offered to buy upgrades of which I already had the maximum, is that a bug or can I upgrade further than the maximum?
@rucksack Thanks for playing! I replayed it, and I don’t think it’s a bug. The UI is just unclear, that’s my fault. The card shows the next level, so it’s hard to tell how far you’ve progressed. Glad it hooked you!
A fine game :) Great job, your game is amazing! I loved playing it, super cool
The combination of historical invention with the action combat is super creative. Seeing the machine battles unfold is genuinely fun, and the scale of the giant boss gave the entire experience a great sense of weight. Awesome job tying such a unique theme into the gameplay!
Hahaha, ramming into the little soldiers with the tank was easily the best part! It was surprisingly addictive, and I had a lot of fun playing it. Really cool project, great job!
Leonardo is a truly great guy; this game exists thanks to him. Thanks for the game
DaVinci survivors! :) It looked and played well, also it's maybe the first game I saw where I could control DaVinci's tank or how did he call it. It was fun, good job!
Stepping into the arena to test Leonardo da Vinci's wild historical blueprints is an absolute blast! Driving his iconic Giant Crossbow and medieval tank while figuring out the controls makes for a wonderfully creative game jam experience. The premise of putting these legendary Renaissance inventions through their paces is pure genius. Huge kudos to Fassenberg for crafting such a fun and original entry
Creative concept. I found it a bit difficult to tell what direction I was facing at times, once I had the armour on, but in the end it didn't really matter that much, once I had a ton of upgrades (lots of bombards). Defeated the giant fairly easily. Could have done with a bit more variety in terms of the enemies, maybe?
Da Vinci Survivors! Cool idea with perimeter guns plus a bunch of upgrades! The giant is defeated and I am happy.
The only thing to nitpick is that sometimes the bow starts shaking when aiming, but this is more than acceptable for a Compo game. Amazing work, congrats!!
Игра очень понравилась. Процесс игры записал, будет интересно можешь посмотреть. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2910447474
@garyglhf спасибо! Было интересно посмотреть геймплей со стороны с комментариями. Рад что в целом понравилось
11111.png Wow, this is a super fun little game, I've really enjoyed it!
xcvxcvcxv.png Fun game! Feels great to play!
Fun and interesting upgrades. But when I get the tank I start snowballing really quick and the game stops to give challenge until the boss arrives. Bossess aiming felt a bit unfairly fast, though its hp was quite low, so it was annihilated in couple of seconds.
