Not bad! I didn't see a point in not just holding spacebar all the time though. Nice, fitting music! Good job!

Cool game! It's missing a regenerating energy meter to manage your attacks and maybe axe upgrade but overall loved the music the game!
Psst, anything ending in *.exe is generally not Linux compatible! Linux executables usually either don't have any file extension, or are *.bin files. Having said that, for any other Linuxites out there:
**Just remove the .exe bit and chmod +x it and then ./kalyuka it, that'll work!**
As for the actual game, the art is quite cute though I find it very difficult. Keep it up! I agree with the addition of an energy meter, it'd help to make it easier to balance things.
EDIT: Also that axe spinning when you hold the spacebar is soo lovable and cute
Nice! Great music. Why did you opt out of audio?
Like the commenter above, I just held down space and it seemed to go well. Those tentacles though...
Keep up the good work!
@alexhoratio i don't know much about linux, i just press "export to linux" in godot and that file generated :P @oivin-f @kantora @simonhutchinson i couldn't figure out a better way to do it, i'm noob in this game engine. Thanks everybody for the reviews!
Vamos nachas papaaa no lo jugué todavía pero seguro alto game
Nice Game, But I found it easy to hold the spacebar, overall a great game
The music is awesome and the idea funny.
I love the axe spinning, but I see no reason to release the spacebar. That and the hitboxes that I did not understood are my only two points that canbe improved. The game is cute and fun :)
(Quick note - I notice in the credits you said that someone else made the music. That means this should be entered into the jam, not the compo as that is against compo rules.)
Nice entry - especially for a first LD! There was a fun variety of graphics to the enemies, and they were nicely alien/creepy/monstrous. Definitely played to your strength by having a lot of different ones.
Also cool that you had four totally different boss fights!
If I could change one thing, it would be to have more feedback when the player is hit, like a little flash appear on the screen. The sound effect of the axe hitting the black blinking slime monster was great, more of that kind of feedback when the player gets hit would have helped ground me in the world of the game. For example I wasn't even sure at first if the tentacles were hurting me in the first boss fight.
Nice job! I definitely held space the whole time, but that wasn't a problem imo.
Neat entry, the attacking is a little wonky due to the axe favoring attacking from the right/above, but overall a great entry!
@pkenney it is against the rules? I mean, he only made the music, i spent 44 hours in front my computer making the game haha! Thanks!
@soyrandom I don't think it should be against the rules
Cool game ! Hectic music ! Overall nice graphism ! Good hob ! But just hold space bar is not too fun x) Moreover, at the beggining, I thought I had to mash the spacebar x) But anyway, nice entry ! :)
Keep coding :)
@soyrandom I wouldn't sweat it - it's clear you worked hard and made something nice all by yourself in 2 days! I definitely don't mean to diminsh that by citing rules!
Simple, straight forward. The axe spinning in a circle gave me a chuckle :)
I felt it could use some more feedback as to when the player took damage.
Fun little game,
Great game! Really addictive. Though it's a bit hard to know when you've actually managed to hit the monsters. (Oh, and by the way, you should at least opt out of audio rating since you didn't make the music)
@cogcomp Thanks!!. I have removed the audio rating!
When I discovered I could swing the axe indefinitely, a good moment :D
Basically agree with the comments above. I really like the wrapping effect, but enemies don't seem to take it into account, which would add a little bit of difficulty. Other than that it would be nice if basic enemies would be a more distinguishable (not in art but in behavior - just a little speed there, projectile here), they kinda feel the same with just different graphics. Those are just REALLY minor things though. I enjoyed playing it, very good job!
I found a bug where enemies can only hurt you once until you exit their collision area, so that could potentially be used to beat the bosses easily.
@batmanasb That's a feature!! Haha, kidding. I'm aware of that, i tried to solved it but i was too tired :c

Fun game. Almost like a bullet hell/horde shooter, but without the shooting. The attack radius discrepancy on your different sides makes it a bit clunky, though.
The character design is pretty cool in this. :)
Great pixel art! Also really good music you made for this game!
I seem to have a bug on the HTML5 version, I cannot move horizontally. For a first submission, this is pretty good!
Looking forward seeing more games from you!
Great work for your first LD. I really liked the character design and music. It would have been nice to see some more variation in the enemies (holding space just seemed to annihilate everything) and the tentacles seems a bit unfair, since you never knew where they were going to pop up next and had a goo chance of killing you. Overall though, it's a solid entry and I really enjoyed playing it.
@tiberiusuciu that is strange, it worked perfectly to my, try reloading the page. It might have some errors, i used and old godot version
Great game! I think with a little balancing it could go a long way. Holding space seems pretty easy, but on the other hand, the tentacles are kinda ridiculous at some points. I think if you added some indicator so there was more skill in avoiding them it would work a lot better. Good job!
i really liked your monsters you created - and the gameplay was really good - of course the axe animation could have been better - but overall great game
Good job!
A few things that could be improved would be the feedback when your character gets hurt and how enemies spawn (sometimes they spawned out of nowhere or even exactly where I was standing).
