I liked a lot of it; theme is great. I did find the gameplay non-intuitive and had to look back at people's comments to figure it out. Overall a creative and inspired bit of game jamming.

There was something beautifully Tetris-esque in this, without feeling derivative; nice work! I like the intuitive nature of the gameplay as well.
I liked it - I did kind of get overwhelmed there though and had to quite before any of the pets started dying. I like the rearrangement aspect of it, where the user places the pets in the fashion that works for them.
It's not my kind of game and I still had fun; so that says something right there. The only tweaks I'd suggest would be damping the sound volume of the attack (too loud imo) and reducing the health of the tanky enemies; they could move a little faster, have less HP, and not require so much clickiness to kill, while maintaining the challenge.
Kind of a neat take on tower defense, modified to fit the theme nicely. The game did suddenly quit on me and went back to the title screen, so I guess I won? Just needed a bit of feedback at that moment to let the player know for sure.
Really interesting; I admit to being a bit lost in the dialogue and the technical aspects - it would've been cool if you could have screwed up in fixing the paintings. But really one of the more unique entries in this contest that I've played, nice work.
I was not a good pet owner. Yoshi died pretty quickly, but I like your setup, colours, and concept.
I like the mood and theme to this; too difficult for me but still I liked figuring out the swing mechanic.
@honey-pony for me it was that the flying mechanic wasn't enough - tried several times but didn't work for me in combo with platforming or grappling.
I was not able to keep the King alive; that charge noise made me smile, that was really funny. Borderline brought me back to some C64 goodness; nice work!
Only suggestion would be the hit mechanic - it just didn't feel like my attacks were connecting, so maybe an added effect on hit would be good.
I'll just echo the point of the person above me, but I thought that as well - because enemies can come in from above or below, you might want to go for a square playfield (or only make enemies come from the side). Nevertheless - cool concept, neat little game.
Also my first jam; good job on creating one of the most visually unique games I've seen so far. Something very satisfying about the discordant music/sound effects.
Wrong time for me to do a game like this, with a mouse that is going wonky, but I managed to do it; I think 49 51 was my time? Anyways, art is perfectly consistent and stylized. The installation of the brain was... unnerving. :) Nice work.
