| 2 | Jason Woerner | Remember, Apollo | adamcyounis | ♥ 15 | I may have some bias because I watched a fair bit of the livestream making this, but for a 48 hour game jam, this game is absolutely amazing. The pixel art is all top notch, and the concept and execution of the node connection is fantastic. I was intrigued by the atmosphere and story as well. I only ran into a couple of gameplay issues: Hitting a node with too much force would start the story text, but my character would then fall off it and rest his position (from that node, so nothing was lost but continuity). Making the node-pull mechanism absolute if the character got close enough would probably be good. And secondly, I shot over ledges a few times, landing a level or 2 below on another node, which would reset my position to a previous level. This sometimes made it hard to keep track of the story, and I'd have to re-do the platforming puzzle I had already completed. This wasn't a huge issue, however, and is quite forgivable given the sometimes non-linear nature of the story. Fun to play, engaging story, and just really solid presentation overall. From start to finish, this looks like a professionally produced game =) And also I am going to dig into the shaders you used to create that fog-clearing effect and steal them ;) That was so cool! |

| 4 | Eduardo Yukio | Tiny Fragments | daniel-moreno | ♥ 13 | Things I didn't like: * Sometimes I forgot that the character bounces back at the end of the screen. I was sure that it would fall off and die haha. Maybe if it had a stronger indication of that mechanic it would be more clear. * The fact that the character paused when I was holding a piece made me play the whole game holding a piece hehehe. I don't know if this behavior was intended or not, but if it had a pause/play button it would lessen the hassle of holding the mouse button for long periods of time. * I found a bug: I was typing my thoughts on my cellphone while the character was bouncing over and over and it eventually fell off the screen and the game crashed. (maybe something to do with rounding errors?) feedback1.png Things I Liked: * The art is simple but very cute and polished. Everything has an animation, nice work! * The music is pleasing, fits the game very well and the loop isn't tiring. * Nice level design! It reached that point in puzzle games where I felt good and smart when I finished a level haha, this must be very hard to design. * The concept is very interesting, I can't remember other games with a similar concept. Your game inspired me! It has a small scope, with just a few mechanics, which probably let you focus on polishment, good level design and to make a complete experience. This is the way that I want to go on Compos. This is my first time doing Compo and my scope was too big. Next time I will remember your game! |

I know that lots of games riff off each other and that's how new genres are formed but maybe credit them in the description? They were a small student team so I'm sure they could use all the help they could get :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jye0yxTfCkA |

Very cool idea and a great start. I loved the boss art and the general idea of dealing with your teammates while boss fighting. Some suggestions: -several of the narrative buttons didn't really accurately reflect the narrative option text when selected - I liked balancing between healing and the chat. Rather then switching between the boss doing nothing and then dishing out tons of damage, perhaps you could make the boss damage slower but do both narrative and healing at the same time. - having to follow the text added a lot of pressure and made it really interesting - I liked having to play the healer, it felt like a good fit for the narrative role. - the middle section of fighting the boss with no narrative felt really long. A really interesting look at gamer culture and toxicity. Great start! I hope you keep working on this. |

It's a great way to picture workspace nowadays and how it could affect people health and mind. This game should be used in companies, to put people in the place of someone with anxiety and make workspace less hostile :) |

The art is really good (remembered me Don't Starve which I think it was a huge reference) and the way you guys approached the theme is very nice. Congratulations! |

Anyway, I loved the art style and the concept is good ! :) |
