| Apr 19 15:56:57 | Rekindle | ♥ 3 | Faze was my absolute Favorite last Year, my eexpectations are high for this one :) | |
| Apr 21 03:34:20 | 35h 37m | Tiny Fragments | ♥ 1 | This is too much for my Brain at 5 am :D |
| Apr 21 03:50:40 | 16m 20s | In The Flesh | ♥ 2 | I don't know if this was on purpose for the old school feel, but the movement felt really slow and unresponsive. Other than that I liked the game a lot. Three levels with one boss fight in only three days, good job you guys. Only it was a bit easy for my feel. |
| Apr 21 04:11:52 | 21m 12s | Pals 'til Death | ♥ 2 | I see, that game meachanics is good, but in my opinion it is cruel and bad to create game about killing saint people. |
| Apr 21 16:01:25 | 11h 49m | Fuel Hungry | ♥ 1 | Nice take on the theme. The jumping felt good and responsive, which is always the most important thing. There were a few jumps where it felt like you needed to half clip through a platform tho. The Sound got a bit boring after a while, I would have liked some music and some constant fire rustling effect. I would have liked a Hard mode where water kills you instantly. Also sometimes i managed to double jump, i think that is a bug? |
| Apr 21 20:32:41 | 4h 31m | The Expedition | ♥ 0 | Usually people tend to make very shallow but well polished games during the game jams. This is quite a deep game with lots of mechanics for such a short time, but on the downside it is missing some polish (This is a tradeoff, I don't nescessarily see this as a bad thing). I myself usually do more cool mechanics for the cost of polish. Playing something slightly more complex was a welcoming change. I hat quite some fun trying all the different characters. Right now the gold is useless, after the first wave I had enough gold to unlock everything, so the way to unlock was just by doing the challenges. Here are some quality of life improvements i would suggest: - Figuring out what an ability does right now is pretty much learning by doing maybe have the range indicatros already lit up when you hover over the ability and maybe add a short description of the abilities in the party tab? - Figuring our what the enemies do is even more difficult. Maybe have a little enemy wiki even just in text form in the game description. I just sometimes suddenly see poison and then one of my characters dies and I don'T even know which enemy did it. -Drag and drop for placing would be nice and much more intuitive (But if you do a lot of mechanics you usually don't have time for stuff like that) Also there are a few bugs. E.g. Once some poison effects were already on the board when it loaded. Overall A great game with a lot of potential for Post LD versions |
| Apr 21 22:21:39 | 1h 48m | My hungry Pet Piranha Plant | ♥ 1 | plant.jpg 46 highscore :) Loved the arstyle and the sound. Feeding felt verry satisfying. Only the release was a bit tight i would have made it more forgiving. |
| Apr 22 09:21:49 | 11h 00m | Flippy Fish | ♥ 2 | This game is fishy, but only literally, because this is amazing work!! One of my favorites so far i got a highscore of 65. Nice Art nice sounds and the controlls feel good. quick tip: on itch.io set the Embed options to "click to launch in fullscreen" to make the fullscreen work better for everyone. tip for everyone in the current verion: if you want to play fullscreen, wait for the game to load then hit the blue arrows and not the transparent white ones that are overlayed. |
| Apr 22 10:08:12 | 46m 23s | Ihctogamat | ♥ 2 | @miklo you completeky missed the best part of the game then. Please play it again and get the 600 coin item it's a must, will make you reevaluate the game ;) @ohfiddlediddle I can see how this can be a problem, maybe consider giving the players a few more coins so they can experiece the 600 coin upgrade, without waiting. The QR code was cute :) But I was promised hot singles in my area and couldn't find any :( 5/5 on Humor |
| Apr 22 17:24:01 | 7h 15m | Rhythm Castle - Platformer/Rhythm Game | ♥ 1 | Very nice platformer. Graphics and audio are nice. The rythm sectuins could have been a little clearer maybe play the correct rythm once when you enter the room? i found it hard matching the expexted rythm from just the visual indications but figured them out eventually. Also i dont mind some hard jumps, but for my taste some of the jumos set you back way too much if you missed them. |
| Apr 23 15:03:35 | 21h 39m | Finterior Decorator | ♥ 1 | Great game many 5stars from me. I don't know so much about the theme. Yes the fish die if you don't feed them but its a bit of a stretch :D Art and audio are absolutely stunning for a Jam game good job. |
| Apr 23 15:22:26 | 18m 51s | Keep the flame alive (adventures of an arsonist) | ♥ 1 | Felt verry good to play, like many others I came to like the fast movement Speed. The art was amazing however the music only played every second level and did not loop properly, maybe you can fix that. Two small things I would change: limit the fire rate and the range of your fireballs because I was just constantly spamming left mouse to kill most enemies before I even saw them :D. This would also be fun to speedrun as well maybe I'll give that a try later :) |
| Apr 23 16:28:28 | 1h 06m | Fleur Defense | ♥ 4 | Yeah many 5 stars from me as Well what a good job. When I died on wave 16 it told me I had just spend over half an hour on this and I did't even notice. That basically says everything. Charming art addictive gameplay and good audio. Well done |
| Apr 23 17:47:43 | 1h 19m | Arctik Panik | ♥ 0 | penguin_Space_Program.png I found the gameplay slightly dull so I went to go for a penguin Space program instead. I really like the art, it is very well done. Unfortunately the animations stopped working after a while. Overall a cute little entry |
| Apr 23 19:04:25 | 1h 16m | A tale of Rebirthism | ♥ 1 | Tbh I expected like 2 even harder levels after everyone said how dificult it was, i found it not too hard (I died once) :/ Beat it.png The text was very slow, which I did not enjoy. Other than that good job I liked playing it :) |
| Apr 23 19:14:45 | 10m 20s | Horny Rhino | ♥ 1 | Rhino.png Hilarious game with a not so Hilarious background, at least I saved the virtual ones :) Really polished, you even thought about a sensitivity slider, that was perfekt. Also the audio and Graohics were really nice |
| Apr 26 15:56:13 | 68h 41m | Keep Me Alive | ♥ 2 | @texz "If my jokes offends you 1. I'm Sorry 2. It won't happen again 3. 1&2 are lies" -deadpool 5/5 on Theme, hope you get through it :) |
| Apr 26 17:16:39 | 1h 20m | Checkmate | ♥ 4 | really neat, The shooter gameplay felt quite good. If I had to be picky about something I would say the movement felt a bit slow and unresponsive, but that is cherry picking. I loved the cinematics and how the opponents actually moved like the chess pieces. Overall it felt verry good to play! |
| Apr 26 17:41:45 | 25m 06s | YMGYPBVF: You Must Gather Your Party Before Venturing Forth | ♥ 1 | This was a lot of fun! The esc key was not the best choice as it is the same key for escaping the full screen in chrome. Meaning you would always have to hit it twice and then re-maximize the window. The puzzles were not too easy but also not too hard. I would love an update with a few very hard levels. @ me if you ever release one. The new hand drawn concept art looks also absolutely beautiful :) |
| Apr 29 12:22:50 | 66h 41m | Mammoth Expedition | ♥ 2 | The game was fun to play, it got really close for me in the end but I did it, I found the mammoth. I really liked the gameplay. The game would have profited a lot from some mor work on the graphics. Like actually showing the camp, the fire the drill etc. Or even just something more than white boxes for the names. Might be something to work on in the future :) But nice take on the theme and good job in general! |
| Apr 30 09:38:13 | 21h 15m | Iguanathon | ♥ 1 | I instantly knew this was inspired by the BBC Earth Documentation when I saw the picture. This game needs one thing: David Attenborough Comentary. "A near miracoulus Escape" once you get to the water. Or the opening statement "The snakes eyes aren't really good, so if the hatchling stays still it might avoid detection" could be the tutorial for this game. I don't know if you were worried about coppyright, but I think that would have fallen under fair use. (I'm no lawyer tho) The gameplay was quite cool, but short. And I would have loved if you included some gameplay from the "escape the snake coiling" part. |
| Apr 30 10:19:12 | 40m 59s | Here, Fishy Fishy! | ♥ 1 | fishevader.jpg I managed to nearly off screen my fish so he was out of the way of all predators and I could farm infinite High score. Playing this normally however is quite challenging. This also is programmer art at its best! One thing: I would have disabled collisions on the food pallets. If they get stuck on a predator your fish will steer right into the predator, which is not much fun. |
| May 6 15:20:11 | 149h 00m | Keep Him Alive | ♥ 1 | Really nice job on the Post Jam version, It is not much different but it feels so much better because of how polished it is. Good Job! The two things I would add next are coin sound effects and pathfinding for the old man :) Then maybe add some new shiny armor for the coins :D Most things have been said already and I don't want to repeat everything so here are two things I found that were not mentioned: - Diagonal move speed is faster than straight line. There are some good tutorials online on how to fix this. like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whzomFgjT50 Watch until 9 minutes afterwards he does animations. - Spamming mouse1 makes fights now way too easy in the post LD version, I liked the lure out and finish the enemies strategy you needed for original version. I would add a cooldown on how often you can click. |
| May 6 15:49:57 | 29m 46s | Keep it Going | ♥ 1 | One of my favorite Compo Games so far. I got a highscore of 91 don't know if that is much or little :D I really enjoyed the sound effects. The Graphics are simplistic but charming. If there is one thing that I would have changed it would be the rng. I would have used a bag system instead of plain rng. (Check this if you don't know what I mean: https://gamedevelopment.tutsplus.com/tutorials/shuffle-bags-making-random-feel-more-random--gamedev-1249) "Make the game less random to make it feel more random" Wave.png |
| May 6 16:18:13 | 28m 16s | Tile Rider! | ♥ 1 | Really Cool Game, As you said with the scope of the game came missing polish, just as for my game :D The Post LD version already feels a lot better. It just needs even more polish. Progress bars for the quests, an indicator of where to find home because you can get lost easily, What are the actual huts doing and so on. Just in general a lot more feedback so you can feel what you are doing. Final verdict: Would die to a cow the size of 2 Mountains again xD |
| May 6 19:46:30 | 3h 28m | Oh Deer! | ♥ 1 | @frostbyte4k go and rate some other games and leave them some feedback. This will cause your game to be shown on the front page so you will get more ratings! |
| May 6 20:26:50 | 40m 20s | Perish alive | ♥ 3 | Incredible game, I think this is my favorite so far. I am happy that I found this before the jam is over. Took me three tries to win (or loose? :D). Incredible graphics sound and suprisingly complex for a jam game but still quite polished. The only thing I do not agree with is the "zoom in" on the upgrade menus. I want to still see if I am getting attacked while I upgrade stuff. But if I zoom out the windows are too small |
| May 6 20:47:57 | 21m 07s | Economic Bubble | ♥ 1 | I liked the Hand drawn Artstyle, really makes this entry stand out. I lasted for 47 days. And I think that is a good time because much longer and this would have become a little repetitive and boring. The little News Headlines are Hilarious as well. Good Job overall! |
| May 6 21:22:12 | 34m 15s | The Last Lighthouse | ♥ 1 | # Finished It! Lighthouse.png Overall the game felt quite good. The Use of the Assets was really good and I liked the overall dificulty of this. The movement mechanics were better than most games, but in a game where the movement is the main aspect you notice small stuff faster. It was a bit slow in my opinion and the wall slides/jumps felt not really good. The Lanterns as a checkpoint were very clever! |
| May 6 21:44:35 | 22m 23s | A Call From Galactic Command | ♥ 0 | Cool Idea very simillar to this: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/a-tale-of-rebirthism At first I tried hard but died with 4 colonies. Then I switched to easy and won :D |
| May 7 09:46:36 | 12h 02m | Outpowered | ♥ 1 | @lcstark Really cool game I liked it a lot especially for a compo game. As i have gathered from your other replies, you are not intending to do a post-LD version which is a shame. But I will therefore focus my review on what could have been done on a compo timescale. The graphics are fine and get the job done, but they are not what this game is about. The Audio is suprisingly good since you said you have no experience with that! The mechanics are quite complex and polished at the same time for a compo game and this is what makes this game stand out. Here are a few Ideas of what I might have done: I would have added more feedback in general: for hits, a little screen shake a small explosion, for picking up missing parts a little screen glow or some sparkle effects etc. I would have added bouncing projectiles, this game needs bouncing projectiles :D I would have added some difficulty settings because right now it was very easy. Also a fullscreen option, (Usually just setting itch.Io to "click to launch fullscreen" does this automatically unless you are doing something with fixed pixel sizes, since this is only a modification to the hosting and not the game you could even try this now) The enemy AI is fine for the timeframe. Overall Well done SpaceGG.jpg |
| May 7 14:28:15 | 4h 41m | Keep What Alive | ♥ 3 | Really cool Story and artstyle as well as many details. Lots of complexity for such a short time. However, the movement was soooo slow, moving from one place to another felt like a chore rather than having fun playing a game. This is very unfortunate. I would have played this a couple more times after I initially died, but for me this is unfortunately a deal braker :( Let me know If you release a post-LD version with faster movement I would very much like to play that! |
| May 7 14:41:34 | 13m 19s | Penance: A story of Resistance | ♥ 1 | First of all good job for finishing your first jam game! The graphics and the Audio were really used good :) As many have said the controls need a lot of improvement. I suggest this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwcT-Dch0bA Also there is a follow up video for animations. Pretty standard platformer otherwise |
| May 7 14:58:42 | 17m 08s | Until it blooms | ♥ 1 | Very relaxing experience. I really liked the artstyle and the audio. THey also fit very well together. The gameplay was a bit repetetive tho. Overall a beautiful entry |
| May 7 15:51:11 | 52m 29s | The Last Guardian | ♥ 2 | Unfortunately it did not pick up my microphone. (This was my first time recording something like this) So you have some uncommented gameplay :( https://youtu.be/inyLpQLUFXQ I liked the game a lot the only negative i mentioned was that I would have liked slightly faster movement speed. I played with a gamepad! |
| May 7 16:27:08 | 35m 57s | Short Dark | ♥ 0 | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqgxMWl--so Unfortunately it did not record my commentary I could not figure out how to cook the fish. I tried clicking on the fire i tried clicking on the pot but nothing ever happened :( I liked the graphics and the audio. However, the audio could have profited from a bit more variety, the constant wind sound got annoying after a while. For the graphics only the sidewards animations were a bit wonky. I think Diagonal movement is faster than straight line movement. You will see me moving diagonally towards the end. I did not like the alt click interactions and would have prefered a more classical press e to interact |
| May 7 17:01:16 | 34m 08s | SAVE THE DINOS! | ♥ 1 | https://youtu.be/nNZNgn0NDp8 Here Is my Playthrough enjoy :) |
| May 7 17:15:44 | 14m 28s | Gravelighter | ♥ 1 | https://youtu.be/WLiXZ3zYOVo Here is my Playthrough. My microphone volume is a little low. |
| May 7 22:30:14 | 5h 14m | Snail Away | ♥ 1 | Unfortunately the fixed version is even more buggy than the original. The snake is somewhat influenced by the input but then also moves weirdly in some strange direction sometimes and usually in the opposite direction of what I am pressing. The graphics however are lovely and the sounds are awesome! |
| May 8 16:17:02 | 17h 46m | Power Slime Shootout | ♥ 1 | Here is my Playthrough https://youtu.be/pzHqPOPVcPA I got the world record :) I really loved this entry one of the best so far! I only had two minor points: 1. the spawn RNG makes it so you can get really lucky or really screwed 2. the game rewards fast clicking. you should limit the fire rate to what you get when you hold down left mouse |
| May 8 16:21:36 | 4m 34s | Brainstorm | ♥ 0 | Here is my playthorugh of your game https://youtu.be/qgLdQN7hyKw I had a lot of fun with this! |
| May 8 16:38:54 | 17m 18s | Sheep Wrangler | ♥ 1 | Thanks for suggesting your game https://youtu.be/PZeAGlkgy5U Dying was harder for me than surviving :D |
| May 8 17:04:26 | 25m 32s | Virus | ♥ 2 | Here Is my playthrough of the game! https://youtu.be/Daa78xGtM4o Good job overall! |
| May 8 17:25:00 | 20m 34s | Irving Forrest Technologies and [REDACTED] | ♥ 0 | https://youtu.be/qpYngbDHoOw Done with your Playthrough. Enjoy! |
| May 8 17:37:18 | 12m 18s | Più, a bird song | ♥ 1 | Here is my Playthrough of the Game https://youtu.be/7bcYTSzSVRk I really liked it a lot, thanks for the sugesstion! |
| May 8 21:18:26 | 3h 41m | Bobbleheads want to dance | ♥ 1 | I wanted to try to dance with boobbleheads! |
| May 9 09:17:19 | 11h 58m | Cats In Flats | ♥ 2 | https://youtu.be/4XZ6ZDYqkSE here is my playthrough of the game Edit: Unfortunately the video did not pick up my microphone, so here are the main points I made. 1. This Game needs some feedback on hit detection as well as feedback on what the Items in the shop do 2. The shop is very akward to use and I once bought some cat cookies on accident while not even having the shop open 3. The Starter Gun is by far the best because you can spam click with it, I would limit the fire rate 4. I liked the Graphics and the Narrator Voice was excellent |
| May 9 09:45:40 | 28m 21s | The Night Of The BEAST | ♥ 1 | Here is my Playthrough https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reM58GXuzmY good job overall! Edit: so it did not pick up my microphone. Here are the main points I made in the Video 1. This is A nice short Entry 2. The Oldschool style really gives it a good mood 3. The Audio is good, unfortunately the main music does not loop correctly |
| May 9 09:48:29 | 2m 49s | Cyto Killer: Save Our Cells! | ♥ 1 | Sometimes enemies get stuck in the bottom right corner. I waited for an eternety for a parasite to randomly walk to the left, but he never did. I was a bit stubborn about this and in the end still had to abbort. Overall I liked your game, but a lot of Optimizetions and Player Feedback needs to be done. I suggest next time You playtest some more with friends and family because it is such a shame. Mechanically this could have been one of the best games without those annoyances. Here is my Playthrough min 13 until min 37 is just me waiting for the parasites to walk to the left https://youtu.be/KXAVtxfKGbs Edit: Unfortunately the Microphone was not picked up in the Video so here are the main points I made during the Video: 1. Between 13 min and 37 min I started talking about random stuff like the meaning of life while waiting the parasite to move left. I also played my own game a little. 2. I liked how it simulated the actual types of virus, bacteria etc. 3. I hated the waiting at the end of stages when only a few cells and or parasites were left. I would have loved a fast forward button or a timer on enemies that they die after they have not interacted a certain time |
| May 9 09:53:24 | 4m 55s | Catch The Mouse keep it alive | ♥ 1 | Here is my Playthrough of the game: I managed a perfect Speedrun in the end (41s) https://youtu.be/I5ZKTWmKp-8 Edit: Unfortunately the video did not record my microphone so here are the main points I made: 1. I liked the feel of the Movement, it is well implemented 2. The graphics and audio are nice 3. Overall a good implementation of a classic platformer Good Job! |
| May 12 10:04:19 | 72h 10m | Mycelium | ♥ 1 | Mother Shroom had given me one objective: to protect her. I was determined, it was my destiny. Soon Slime creatures startet showing up, but mother shroom gave me the spores to protect her. It got harder and harder, I planted spores only to see the baby shrooms getting destroyed by the slime creatures, it was horendous. Just about when I thought it was over, that I had failed, there was a slimmer of hope. Mother shroom had provided me with a new shroom spore I have never used. It emmited a poisonous cloud, that would hit many slimes at once. This was it, I needed to build an inner circle out of those. And So I started. Suddenly defending was easy again I thought I had built an invincible setup. shrooom1.png But I was wrong: One Slime managed to take down one of the poison cloud shrooms. It was a race now, I had to build more poison shrooms than the slimes cold destroy, all other spores became nothing but decoys to distract the slimes for a short while. I fought and fought, but in the end they were too many. **I have failed you mother shroom, I am so sorry** 😢 shrooom2.png Great game! , btw In the end it got very laggy with so much on the screen at once |
| May 12 23:11:08 | 13h 06m | Keep It Alive by Ismael Rodriguez - Ludum Dare 46 | ♥ 1 | Congratulations Man! |
| May 12 23:13:56 | 2m 48s | LD46: Keep it alive | ♥ 1 | Wow This looks amazing! Congratulations on the graphics score! |
