| Apr 21 05:54:01 | Dryad | ♥ 1 | Nice job on your first game! I liked how you could pick different shots. At first I thought they were different kind of turrets, but then realized one shot was faster than the other. I'd like the see the enemies a bit more, since they are attacking me before I see them. The narrative between the levels is pretty funny. Keep up the good work! | |
| Apr 21 06:05:14 | 11m 13s | ADRENA-LINE | ♥ 1 | Best I'd done was 32! Nice and tight game. |
| Apr 21 06:30:19 | 25m 05s | Flower Dreams | ♥ 1 | Final Score: 54600, Flowers: 78 had fun! Played through a couple times, and tried to get a lot of leaves and snip flowers and leaves/stems as soon as they came out. Ended up with a plant where the flowers would usually grow in the same place and i would collect them right away. Nice job! |
| Apr 21 06:40:19 | 10m 00s | Keep the Garden Alive | ♥ 1 | I kept the garden alive for 5 min 35 sec! I had to keep watering the flowers which made it hard to kill weeds or bugs. Not sure what effect the weeds had on flowers. I like how the weed killer kills the flowers too. It felt a bit strange there were platforms you couldn't really get to. I think if jump was just space or up or so it may have been easier for controls. Keep up the good work! |
| Apr 21 06:43:43 | 3m 24s | Sol Tender | ♥ 2 | Ah unfortunate you couldn't finish but the ufo following the mouse feels really nice. It has a very smooth bouncy feeling. |
| Apr 21 06:53:18 | 9m 35s | Tumble Baby | ♥ 2 | Very nice! Interesting properties of the tiles that start to work its way into the level design, especially the last level. Could see things like moving platforms between tiles or transporting other things between tiles as well. Good job! |
| Apr 21 08:39:51 | 1h 46m | jumpgolf | ♥ 1 | jumpgolf.png Phew that was difficult. I tried the browser version first but the checkpoints weren't working (Chrome, maybe I couldn't focus on window?) so I switched to desktop version. On my laptop there is a bit of lag (maybe 30 fps or potentially less) which makes the timing a bit hard so I have to spam the mouse (though maybe you kind of have to do that anyway at certain points). I think there's some slight game feel things but may be my personal preference. Currently the ball feels a bit weak - I always want the ball to go a bit stronger and everything feels a bit out of reach. There's also something about preserving momentum. If I click in the same direction the ball is going, I want to add to the existing velocity to go further. But if I click in the opposite direction, I would want to cancel the current velocity completely and start the momentum over with the base velocity. I found the Slugger Bunny and Ghost Bird though :). Nice job! |
| Apr 23 06:08:45 | 45h 28m | Birdie Burglars | ♥ 1 | Really nice! Flinging the cats felt cool and the animations were great. There was something about the cursor being gone that made me very anxious, though I didn't need it to help me aim. The different music tracks for each level were very nice. |
| Apr 23 06:25:00 | 16m 15s | Gophers | ♥ 1 | I liked it! It's a nice reflection of making contact despite being stuck in one place. The climbing of the ladders is and time limit makes you very wary though you usually have enough time. There was a small case where if I wanted to click on the ladder but it was obscured by the timer. Anyway, good job! |
| Apr 24 05:03:38 | 22h 38m | Team Yggdrasil | ♥ 2 | Tried it, but doesn't seem to be in a stable state (I joined with an older laptop in my own game). I see a bunch of black rectangles laid around with something like "no attribute." Hope to check it out potentially later! |
| Apr 24 05:24:16 | 20m 38s | Spirit of Resistance | ♥ 2 | Nice art, and I'm also bad at minesweeper haha. I ended just doing corners and getting some quick beacons in. The text popping up felt very abrupt, I wonder if there could be a loading bar or time, but seeing the waves on the globe was cool. |
| Apr 24 05:31:23 | 7m 07s | You Have One Job | ♥ 2 | I wanted to see the creature grow or so and make you start to question if you should keep it alive, but interesting concept. The ramp up is a bit slow. For some reason the buttons popping in starts to remind me of popcorn. Keep up the good work! |
| Apr 24 06:09:23 | 38m 00s | Dark Kitchen | ♥ 1 | It took me a while to understand what the controls were and who was talking to who, but after figuring out I click on the map to move and the person I'm talking to is on the left I played through the whole thing. Still kind of mysterious what exactly was going on, but delivering a last meal was interesting to think about. Nice job! |
| Apr 24 06:29:58 | 20m 35s | Peacock Potions | ♥ 2 | Really nice! I kept the business alive for 12 years before going out of business, tough! There's a nice feel with the upkeep of the store and the music. The montage of people buying stuff is a good sequence. Nice job! |
| Apr 24 06:41:39 | 11m 41s | GhostVac | ♥ 1 | Really cool, you nailed the arcade machine feel. The vacuum sounds of it turning off and on when the game is getting ready is really nice. Sometimes the game freezes when it reaches the boss and the timer pauses, but it was easy to refresh and try again. There were also really nice animation on the marquee with the ghosts. nice job! |
| Apr 29 04:24:32 | 117h 42m | Hikikomori Simulator | ♥ 2 | Art is great! I liked the different choices and the different results you would get. The max days I was able to get was day 3, 13:00. I think there's a bit of luck to get a good result (maybe you have to be less stressed for better results?), but in general I tried to not make certain values fall too low. I like that you have to figure out what the icons represent and what tasks represent what. Getting a good result to affect multiple stats is a nice surprise. Nice work! |
| Apr 29 04:37:47 | 13m 15s | Courier of Fire | ♥ 1 | I beat it! I like the amount of puzzle mechanics you were able to get in. I think being able to relight the flame allows for a pretty deep puzzle space to work with as it introduces order of operations (having to do things in a certain order and figuring out what it is). The physics with rope cutting and black holes were also very nice. Being able to travel farther in water was also a nice touch since then it's not just something that puts out fire. Nice job! |
| Apr 29 04:47:49 | 10m 02s | Save My Short Necked Friends | ♥ 1 | I won! I like that the alpaca is using its spit for a projectile, and that the sheep are short necked alpacas. The variations in the level designs were really nice, I think it changed things up despite the enemies being the same. It was interesting to have to defend the sheep from different angles. The fox had nice running animations too. Keep up the good work! |
| Apr 29 05:47:38 | 59m 49s | Grove Guardian | ♥ 1 | really enjoyed this game! I died on day two the first time, but then after that figured out I needed nutrients to be able to build more. I ended up covering most of the map, especially after getting the cactus. Liked finding the different upgrades and seeing their different properties. Some of the upgrades I found when I was already pretty overpowered, but still fun to see. Nice job! |
| Apr 29 06:10:25 | 22m 47s | PRO DVD PLAYER | ♥ 0 | wowww I played through the first time without rewinding and thought it was pretty funny. And then opened it up again to see what it did and was surprised. Really nice, I like how in that case f1 is basically needed and there's sort of a meta game. That was the only thing in the game that allowed me to close it without it freezing though (it didn't close nicely when I just played normally). Nice job and surprise! |
| Apr 29 07:02:22 | 51m 57s | The Dragon's Curse | ♥ 2 | took me a long time, but was eventually able to beat it. I really like how there are certain things you can unlock depending on what you do, but at times it does feel a bit too random (one time a small map spawned and winning wasn't possible). There are some things I didn't get a chance to figure out, like the weird contraption, but overall pretty cool. I like how some of the choices seem to have a different results. I was able to get two of the artifacts and buy the last one. nice job! |
| Apr 29 07:13:44 | 11m 22s | How to Air | ♥ 1 | I beat it! I like the art style and the characters, it's very cute. I think some of the interactions could use a bit more feedback - I spent some time trying to pick up the medkit, maybe if there was locked sound or the guy saying "it's stuck" but I was eventually able to figure it out. Reusing the gas extractor makes sense but feels a bit too convenient (stick everything in the machine to get what you want), perhaps if there were other ways to extract gas? That's more nitpicky- overall nice job! |
| Apr 29 07:30:24 | 16m 40s | YMGYPBVF: You Must Gather Your Party Before Venturing Forth | ♥ 1 | I beat it! The puzzles are at a good just hard enough difficulty. Positioning characters as walls for other characters is pretty clever. Some polish things to add could be an undo button. Overall nice job! |
| Apr 29 07:37:04 | 6m 40s | Feed me if you love me | ♥ 2 | I beat it! Took a few tries and after figuring out what the donut did it was just getting used to managing the resources. keep up the good work! |
| Apr 29 07:57:49 | 20m 45s | BBYS | ♥ 1 | Overall a bit too hard for me. I got stuck on level two after dying like 6-7 times. I think some of it is it's very easy to get stuck on the rocks or not be able to get the bby out from the enemies. I liked the equipables the enemies dropped but not sure if they help with bby defense or anything. It'll be nice if I could also use the rocks as obstacles for the enemies as well, so that the more I break the harder it is to defend. I liked the dialogue with the faces in the game though. Nice job! |
| Apr 29 08:13:16 | 15m 27s | Mis Vacas | ♥ 1 | I was able to beat it! It's pretty hard and it took several tries. The AI feels pretty competent. I think the most frustrating things for me is there's no lead time to when the bandits fire, so it's pretty hard to predict where the shot is going to come from. The shots visually are a different color, but since it's a muted color palette it can be a bit hard to track as well. The art is very nice and I liked the ending. nice job! |
| Apr 29 08:26:38 | 13m 22s | Feed King or Die Starving | ♥ 1 | best score i think for me was 142 imps slain in 128 secs. The controls were a bit hard to get at first and I'm still not sure I completely understand them, as it's not super clear to me when an enemy is front of me. I realized though if I click as fast as possible after I launch I get a pretty good chance of killing most enemies in front of me, though there's some varying results there. I like the 3d layout with the 2d sprites, and the kind dying effect is pretty good. nice job! |
| Apr 30 01:00:30 | 16h 33m | Delivery Space Attack | ♥ 1 | I was able to beat it! The controls were really hard because there was no drag. I ended up pushing the box to the bottom, and just strafing back and forth and pushing the box side to side using the screen wrap. I don't think it'll be possible otherwise with the movement. It was nice that the box could destroy enemies though that usually meant it would also break soon. Anyway, keep up the good work! |
| Apr 30 01:07:45 | 7m 15s | Life of the Party | ♥ 1 | I liked all the different things you can do to manage the party. The movement feels a bit slidey to me though. I wasn't sure if I was drinking with other people, I guess you just need to press z? I liked the music. Nice job! |
| Apr 30 01:24:01 | 16m 16s | Down to Earth | ♥ 1 | I got over 5000 points before stopping. At first I was running around holding down shooting straight up, and then realized the best strat is to shoot into the earth so the coconuts come up from the ground (the lowest point possible) to hit the asteroids. I think you can go forever like this without dying. I could also see the player having to fire into the earth to grow more plants or feed the dinos as an alternative to keep the life on earth alive. I liked the art and the dinos! nice job! |
| Apr 30 04:14:11 | 2h 50m | @73N: KEEP. HIM. ALIVE. | ♥ 2 | Really nice! I liked combining things together and figuring the system, but I had trouble placing things on top of each other, especially conveyor belts. That takes up most of my time and then I don't have time to craft anything else! nice job though! |
| Apr 30 04:25:05 | 10m 54s | ALYVE | ♥ 1 | Had fun playing the game! I like the narrative you got running through the different waves, with the thing you were protecting becoming the boss becuase it broke loose. I had some trouble with the controls at first becuase I kept pressing z or x instead of the other. Nice job! |
| Apr 30 04:32:17 | 7m 12s | SaverTato | ♥ 1 | I got >2000 before I stopped. Pretty straight forward, I like that the shield disappeared at some point, but didn't get much harder after that. keep up the good work! |
| Apr 30 04:44:47 | 12m 30s | A Tree | ♥ 1 | I like the descriptions and had fun with the game! I got a crazy amount of resources and got all the upgrades, but then didn't realize getting too many branches and leave would make me top heavy and make the tree fall over 😅. Nice systems. Could be nice to see where the tree needs support, like an overall picture, but what's there I think works well for the jam. Nice job! |
| Apr 30 04:50:13 | 5m 26s | Keep It Burning | ♥ 1 | Great description, haha. I eventually got put out by a bunch of firefighters. Liked the ramp up and the different vehicles that came out. could be nice to see things that were on fire spread to things that weren't, but they were really trying hard to put the fire out so maybe they were well prepared. keep up the good work! |
| Apr 30 05:13:25 | 23m 12s | Cowboy and Robot | ♥ 3 | I was able to beat it! I died a couple times, and then my robot got stuck inside a building. So I wandered around trying to find the exit. I think the map is a bit too big and I also think it loops(?) which makes it really hard to figure out where I'm going. Eventually though I did find the exit, but nothing happened since the robot wasn't with me. So I went to find the robot, and it came back somehow! Then I was able to escape with it while being chased by the guards. CowboyAndRobot1.png I think win screen got a bit buggy Overall, I couldn't do much stealth as the robot would move around enough that I would end up getting chased or the guards would hear me. Keep up the good work! |
| Apr 30 05:17:57 | 4m 32s | Trappy Dungeon | ♥ 1 | I beat it! I'm very glad there was health to let you see what was going on and to give a bit of leniency to the traps. I like that at the end the hidden holes actually help you instead. The written text was kind of funny though perhaps a bit messy. keep up the good work! |
| Apr 30 05:28:35 | 10m 38s | Defend Your Plant | ♥ 2 | I beat it! The infinite finger pokes were really funny, and then the progression to fist and others was even funnier. There's a nice balance with the upgrades, and eventually I was able to get ahead of the bugs and stuff coming to attack my plant. I'm pretty bad at clicking fast so I'm glad I was able to beat it. nice job! |
| May 2 21:51:16 | 64h 22m | What the Firetruck!? | ♥ 2 | I had fun, nice job! I feel like I caused more fires than I initially put out, and it's funny people are willing to be rescued after I either made them crash or they intentionally drove into me. Really nice art and music. I was also expecting perhaps some screen edge ui telling me where the fire was, but the map wasn't too big. I wasn't sure how to get more water at first, but then realized as I was playing the fire hydrants give you more water. very cool! |
| May 2 22:00:16 | 9m 00s | L♪vely Rhythm | ♥ 0 | I got a B! The art is nice and the game has a nice upbeat feel to it with the music. I'm not sure how matching the beat means I'm doing a better job at entertaining my partner, perhaps if it was tied to the characters some way - like skating a loopy loop and timing it correct (like rhythm heaven), though that is a lot more animation. I enjoyed it though, nice job! |
| May 3 02:41:12 | 4h 40m | Morose | ♥ 1 | very nice, had fun! I played the soft lock version since it seemed to fix some things, though I still ran into a bug at the end when I was trying to make a white flower and I couldn't place what I had made (it still had a bunch of extra purples) and restarted. I saw the note to make the red and purple seed flower from miggs then and made that inside of the white flower, and then fought the overseer and beat it? I really like the flower crafting system, but could use some UI improvements: - the order of operation makes for some neat puzzles, though it makes it hard to try and visualize how something might be constructed. I kind of wanted to just place seeds down to see how they could potentially fit together. I'm not sure how I would make a white flower but I didn't need to to beat the game. - I think being able to return the seeds anytime would be nice, even if I make a correct combo, since if I complete the seed combo but didn't intend to, then I need to plant it. I only fought the bee and the overseer using the fighting system, not sure if there was supposed to be more fighting. The story was nice though the game felt like it ended very quickly. Nice job! |
| May 3 03:17:44 | 36m 32s | Meteorite Pig | ♥ 1 | interesting! I played to 220 score before stopping. I like the platform is not just a circle so you can maneuver around in interesting ways. At first I thought the pig would fall off the platform then realized it just sticks to the surface. I could see different levels or so with different kinds of shaped platforms, that could be interesting. The asteroids didn't really spawn that often or towards the player, so I ended up waiting or easily dodging them, could be nice to see more difficulty. Anyway nice job! |
| May 11 00:45:42 | 189h 27m | Letter to Thomas | ♥ 0 | I got to the end! I think the platforming/puzzle aspects were interesting, but wasn't sure how dying to different things related to the story - though I guess the last thing didn't kill me. I think narratively it's just a bit confusing because it's a story of a story of a story. The story of the two people in the orphanage is being told by letters delivered by the postman who he telling you the story of how he got stuck who you are now playing through, but you are not actually the character that is playing. I think it would be more direct if it was one of the people in the orphanage who got stuck (perhaps the one who received the letters), or perhaps you find this person and it's revealed you're the other person who the stuck person is looking for. Visually the animation is good, I think if the guy had a postman hat or uniform maybe if would be more clear, but maybe it's better if it's left more ambiguous as to what is actually happening. Anyway nice job! |
| May 12 05:10:01 | 28h 24m | Keep her alive, please.. | ♥ 1 | It's looking nice! I wasn't able to get far as the timing between the red blocks when it's every other is very tight, but I like how you can see the path coming out and wrapping around the pipes. Perhaps if it started off a bit easier and then ramped up harder to to difficulty you're aiming for. I liked the art and music, nice job! |
