Apr 22 01:48:26 Missing Pieces ♥ 2 This is a really nice! The mood created by the art choices and music was great, and I loved the animation with the heart.
Apr 22 02:12:18 23m 52s Burn to Love ♥ 0 The striking title page hooked me, and as soon as I started playing I was drawn in by the characters and their relationship. I definitely struggled with the gameplay, so it's a testament to how strong the art and narrative components were that I kept trying - and it was worth it for the ending, which was dark and touching at the same time.
Apr 23 01:48:30 23h 36m Tumble Baby ♥ 1 I love slider puzzles so I had to try this! Really fun and cute concept, nice work.
Apr 23 02:22:56 34m 26s B R U I S E S ♥ 1 This is beautiful! The art is gorgeous - I love the colors - and the understated but emotional story drew me in. I really wanted to finish it, but I can't figure out what to do next after repairing both the photo and the paper - when I show Gertie the paper she says it's Meg's message, but her dialogue options about the paper haven't changed. I may have overlooked something. But anyway, I really liked this and would love to revisit and finish the story at some point.
Apr 23 02:31:03 8m 07s Coal Of Duty ♥ 3 I love the quirky art, and it was satisfying to beat up the monsters! I didn't find it very challenging, but overall it's a charming game.
Apr 24 03:50:34 25h 19m In A Game Wherein ♥ 1 I was intrigued by the format and you succeeded in making me think, and even in making me go watch a youtube video for research - which no Ludum Dare game has ever done before, so nice work on that. I definitely disagree with the negative take on game jams, but I admire your approach to this game. The smooth sentence-per-page format and the minigames made the more philosophical content digestible, and I ended up replaying three times to think through what everything meant.
Apr 28 00:02:58 92h 12m JarHeads ♥ 1 Really nice! The mechanic was fun and challenging - purple bullets being good for IT was an especially fun twist, though it took me a while to remember which color was which. I really appreciate the extra funny touch of JarHeads, the Story and also the vibrating "IT" - very ominous!
Apr 28 00:11:50 8m 52s Fireflies ♥ 2 This is gorgeous - the art, effects, and music combine to create a contemplative and slightly eerie atmosphere. The gameplay was engaging enough to make me want to stay in the world, but I did find I was just using whatever bug/plant was handy rather than trying to make strategic decisions.
Apr 28 00:31:40 19m 50s Più, a bird song ♥ 2 Beautiful! The birds swooping looked lovely and was really enjoyable to play. It was hard for me to find where to go next, but I was motivated to find all the little birds and hear the full melody. Very well done and polished game.
Apr 28 01:04:26 32m 46s LEADER KEEP THEM ALIVE ♥ 1 This is one of my favorites I've played so far. (I didn't beat it though - failed on the timing of the final thrust - but thanks for providing the video so I could still see the end!) It totally transported me to a tense space mission. I liked how the beginning eased you into the controls and the story. I thought the way the screen was laid out with the various components was perfect - though I'm also curious how it would play if you always had access to all of the systems instead of only a couple at once. The visual effects on the screen and the sound were perfect for establishing the mood. Awesome job!
Apr 28 01:22:15 17m 49s Down to Earth ♥ 1 This is so cute and fun! The graphics are so charming - I love the cavewoman's confident expression, even when barraged with meteors! It was fun to run around the tiny globe and it was exciting when the meteors picked up. The music was great, too! Nice job!
Apr 28 01:35:55 13m 40s Keep it Alive, Keep them Alive ♥ 1 This is a fun game, I could definitely see expanding this with further levels as interesting as the last one! I thought it kept it interesting that both the order of the commands as well and the default behavior of the fellows changed per level. I can imagine communicating that with different colors - red always goes straight, green prefers to turn left, etc.
Apr 28 01:54:42 18m 47s Keep Her Light ♥ 4 Great concept and truly lovely art! I happened to notice how the ghost ducks under the doorway when entering the bedroom - very nice! I enjoyed clicking around to see the ghost's memories of objects, but that overlapped awkwardly with trying to progress the game. If the idea of what to do next was a bit clearer, I think this would be even better.
Apr 28 02:14:34 19m 52s Ludum Creare ♥ 1 This is a funny concept and enjoyable to play! I was looking forward to the programming questions and wished they were more challenging that finding just the method name or the division in one of the answers (though I loved the one where the bug was in dialogue line 2). Fighting the bugs was fun - the art was great - but it might have been nice to have more variety added to that mechanic over time. All that said, really fun game, I enjoyed how the different components of the game worked together.
Apr 28 02:49:11 34m 37s Hacking is Probably Not Like This ♥ 1 Really fun! The minigames were fun and a great challenge, I love the variety of mechanics you managed to represent so simply. I made all my hacking decisions based on what games were fun vs which were hard, not based on what I would get. :)
