very pretty game. I loved the colours that the fire took on  :fire:

Good start. Needs more instructions, within the game preferably. Especially if the player loses rapidly more than once-- they're not going to keep trying blindly. Give us something to go on.

A lovely looking game, could benefit from some hints to what was needed.

alexascher 2020-04-24 13:35

@jack-kaloger Thanks, we glad you liked it. :thumbsup_tone2:

@devilqube, @beard-or-die Thanks for your response! We've added some text tips. =)

Очень крутая атмосфера. Игра очень расслабляет) Наблюдаешь за огнем, ловишь светляков - медитативно)

Very unique art style. Best/most elaborate fire fx I've seen this jam. Awesome use of nature elements to build a narrative. Music really supported the mood. Really great work.

Gorgeous art and soundtrack. love the mood of the game, very relaxing. But i would like some kind of goal or challenge...after making the biggest fire (i think) is possible i lost interest quickly and just let it burn out since there seems to be nothing else to do. Still is very nice to look at and listen to ;-)

Very pretty, felt more like an experience rather than a traditional game. Like mentioned above, you can add some sort of goal because after a while it feels repetitive and a player loses interest.

I really liked the game. The concept was cool. Unfortunately I didn't understood how to play the game. A tutorial would be really helpful.

I like the music,it sets up a really peculiar atmosphere. I wondered if i could die at some point because it was starting to feel a bit long. However, I like how the game have its own "seasons".

Gorgeous art and music, and it all fits the mood quite well. This is relaxing and fun to play for a while.

derek-volker 2020-04-26 14:31

Really nice graphics. They set the mood complemented by the music and create a chill atmosphere. Very impressive.

While i found a considerable number of keep the fire burning game, i don't remember seeing any that has fireflies with it. I guess it turn out to be a nice twist and gave the game a cool touch given the graphics.

The mechanics and concept are nice as well, and require a bit of analyze and strategy in order to keep going.

I really appreciate this game. Excellent job!

Great I lile the music, AND enginie.

alexandroskap 2020-04-27 18:30

I like it alot. Adding more story and systems to this would make it a really interesting game to play.

e-server 2020-04-27 18:32

Great music, loved how eerie it was. I didn't find any challenge tho, it just worked, until the game crashed. Maybe make windows version that is more stable.

daniil-tcyvakin 2020-04-27 20:03

wonderful game. very beautiful graphics and mystical atmosphere

khud0 2020-04-27 20:09

What an atmospheric and extremely well-executed game! I love how you implemented the tutorial, but I wish there were a bit more interesting choices (which bug do I burn? which plant do I choose for each bug?), because as of right now the amount of bugs I had was approximately the same as amount of flowers and I couldn't do much but combine the two together, instead of choosing which would be the best option. But damn, this is a great game! :)

Wow the atmosphere was amazing and the art was very nice to look at! Gameplay is simple at first but get's increasingly complex. The game itself was very calming and I felt like I was exploring something new as I discovered the new elements and effects of bugs. Very great entry!

celia14 2020-04-28 00:11

This is gorgeous - the art, effects, and music combine to create a contemplative and slightly eerie atmosphere. The gameplay was engaging enough to make me want to stay in the world, but I did find I was just using whatever bug/plant was handy rather than trying to make strategic decisions.

nabo369 2020-04-28 11:57

I love this game, little fireflies and the cool fire effects you get by combining the right colors really kept me intrigued so long that I actually forgot the time.

The artstyle and music where both spot on and set the mood of the game perfectly.

Great job for making this great game!

very-dark-lord 2020-04-28 16:09

Visually stunning and very atmospheric. :) Really nice experience. Love the fire effect you pulled off, and with the music, darkness and almost tangible wind the whole thing is really quite immersive. Great job!

hexa3 2020-04-29 10:06

Amazing visual, nice sound and gameplay!

physiker2001 2020-04-29 15:26

Nice sound and visuals, however a small explanation to how it works in the first place would be nice ;) Had a hard time figuring it out.

xart2012 2020-04-30 09:47

perfect theme done! )

vesper 2020-05-02 10:49

Great atmosphere, the music and sfx were very soothing, and the graphics were stunning.

I felt that the instructions regarding the properties of the various firefly colours and flowers were sometimes a bit vague. Green is attractive, but to what? Flowers? Other Fireflies? What effect does the "Red Blooms" actually have? Most of them were fairly straightforward and had obvious effects once you added them, but others were a bit obscure, and just clarifying the wording there would probably go a long way.

It would have also been nice to have more concrete goals along the way, building towards some final challenge, but that's obviously a more time consuming undertaking. As it stands, this was a really nice JAM entry and I enjoyed what you did with it.
