Apr 20 07:36:18 a Friend of fire ♥ 2 The art looks very good. I have played 5+ games and have never won. I started to suspect that there was no heart in the map :-)
Apr 20 08:34:12 57m 54s Keep pizza alive ♥ 0 The graphics reminds me of the Excel easter egg racing game: https://www.wikihow.com/Play-a-Car-Race-in-Excel-2000
Apr 20 08:51:00 16m 48s current ♥ 1 One of my favorite so far. This game has one of the highest production value (graphics & sound) among all the games I've rated. The levels are getting difficult very quickly for me but I am amazed that you have created quite a lot of content during 48h. I think after some polish and content creation (and maybe difficulty curve adjustment), you can release this game.
Apr 20 09:10:11 19m 11s Body Guards ♥ 1 As someone who has worked in mobile game development, I have to say, apart from production values (graphics, sounds, etc), the core mechanism isn't far off 😃 I like the sarcasm (whether it is intended or not).
Apr 20 09:17:57 7m 46s Save the station ♥ 2 The concept is very solid. Kind of remind me of They Are Billions (https://store.steampowered.com/app/644930/They_Are_Billions/). It would be useful to add some instructions on each of the building as it took me a while to get it. The graphics is simple yet works very well.
Apr 20 10:47:53 1h 29m Rewilding: The Story of Wolfhead Valley ♥ 2 I like the graphics - they are simple yet effective. The UI is also very clear and intuitive. The length of the game is good for game jam and it is not very difficult.
Apr 20 11:22:48 34m 55s The Cyclist Helper ♥ 1 The gameplay is very interesting and innovative. I like the physics based puzzle vibe.
Apr 20 11:25:56 3m 08s Star Buffs ♥ 2 The gameplay is a bit too hard. But I like the lighting and effects (seems the new 2D lighting in Unity works really well) - they add a lot of polish to the gameplay
Apr 20 11:38:57 13m 01s Emergency Override ♥ 1 The production quality of the game is excellent given the 48h time limit. The graphics and the effects (post processing I assume) works really well in adding the retro feel to the game. The voice over is a nice touch. If you add some simple 8bit sfx and it will bring me right back to the good old times.
Apr 20 11:50:54 11m 57s 8 Degrees of Being Charlie McCandless ♥ 1 Very fun little game with some puzzle/card elements. I like the inside out inspiration. The art and sound production quality is quite good given the 48h limit.
Apr 20 12:34:04 43m 10s Tears of Coffee ♥ 1 The pixel art looks amazing given it is produced within 48h. Music is a nice touch too. The gameplay is very simple and straightforward.
Apr 20 18:23:51 5h 49m Wasmball ♥ 1 Simple gameplay and it can be developed into a hypercasual mobile title with a bit more production efforts (graphics, sfx) Kudos for choosing a new technology for game jam and being able to finish it in time! I always wanted to get into ECS but never feel productive with it and always keep going back to MonoBehavior.
Apr 20 18:34:04 10m 13s Eternal Flame ♥ 0 Very solid entry. The movement is a bit chunky and the platform edge detection sometimes does not work. Other than that, very enjoyable gameplay.
Apr 20 18:41:16 7m 12s In A Game Wherein ♥ 1 Very good writing and narrative design. I like the inception kind of feel. Some relaxing music would be a good addition.
Apr 20 18:45:49 4m 33s Rescue turtles ♥ 1 I like the graphics. The pixel art work is very impressive given the time limit. The gameplay could use a few simple additions.
Apr 20 18:51:40 5m 51s Fish Motel ♥ 1 Solid entry. Love the pixel art work, especially the bear. Also the music and sfx is a nice addition given the time limit. There are a few times where I cannot get the range of the water splash correct so some nice usability enhancement there would be nice.
Apr 20 18:58:36 6m 56s The Core ♥ 1 I like the minimalistic approach to UI and graphics. Overall looks very nice and works well. The UI transition is a nice touch. And music is quite decent as well. The only problem for me is the control, which feels a bit chunky.
Apr 20 19:04:22 5m 46s An Afternoon Adventure ♥ 1 I think adding some instructions would be beneficial: it took me a long while to figure out how to get around (and space key for jump). I like the "pen and paper" style art.
Apr 20 19:08:44 4m 22s Frost & Fire ♥ 1 The retro feel (art + sound) is great. Although I am confused for quite a while. So maybe some instructions would help with that.
Apr 20 19:11:48 3m 04s Polar ♥ 0 The music and sound effect is very good. Graphic is simple but works. Overall a solid entry. The country for ice is not intuitive at first. Maybe highlight the iceberg on mouseover?
Apr 21 13:32:25 18h 20m Quest for Cake ♥ 1 I like the low poly feel of the graphics. The background music is not bad at all (I wouldn't even consider muting it). The sound effect is very funny. Gameplay is simple yet gives me a "Untitled Goose Game" feel. Very solid entry overall. Also the cake looks like a toilet paper roll :-)
Apr 21 13:38:54 6m 29s Corporate Slave Rabbit ♥ 1 Very interesting entry indeed. The sound production is an admirable effort. The game is small and short but it can be easily expanded and enriched. Good job.
Apr 21 13:50:44 11m 50s Ballistica ♥ 1 This reminds me of "They are Billions". The graphics is simple but works very well. I have to admit, the sound effect at the beginning is brutal to my ear :-) Manually adjusting the turret shooting feels a bit too much. Maybe consider some auto shooting + manual override?
Apr 21 13:59:52 9m 08s Flock for Feast ♥ 1 I love the graphics. Sound is a nice addition. Camera movement gets a bit weird in some cases but not a big deal. (BTW, for compo, you are supposed to work alone, but you know 😉 )
Apr 21 14:03:50 3m 58s Tobias mustn't die ♥ 1 It's handy that I've got a mechanical keyboard. The game is very simple. I like the colors. This can be turned into a hypercasual game however you might need to make the core gameplay more "casual" friendly :-)
Apr 21 14:14:26 10m 36s Servers & Sockets ♥ 0 At first I didn't realize you have to connect to the internet first and I was daisy chaining servers without connecting to internet and was confused about the situation. Then I saw the screenshot and realized that.
Apr 21 14:18:18 3m 52s AliveBirds ♥ 2 The pixel art is really nice: simple yet effective. The birds and animations are very cute. The gameplay is simple to understand. Sound effect is a nice addition. You can add more content and turn it into a casual mobile title.
Apr 21 21:27:28 7h 09m Pet shop INC. ♥ 0 - Great concept. I like builder/simulator/tycoon kind of games - Pixel Art is very good. - UI could use a bit more improvement. Since you are building with Phaser, it would be easy to add some custom CSS styles to make UI looks nicer. Overall I like the game. I think with a bit more development, you can turn it into a nice mobile casual title.
Apr 22 07:48:04 10h 20m Bustion Defender ♥ 1 A very commendable result for your first LD. The core game play is simple and straightforward. If you want to work further on this game, you might: - Improve productions (graphics, effects, etc) - Improve the enemy AI a bit (currently it is not very balanced) - Some UI improvement - Add more content
Apr 22 08:00:24 12m 20s Cupid's Arrow Inc. Difficult Cases Division ♥ 1 Very interesting concept. The cards are well written and makes me laugh. I like the sound effect: it is simple and effective. I feel this concept can be further developed: - Add a deeper strategy component: currently it is mostly a math and luck game - Add a "story" mode so that there are story lines to follow - Continue productions (graphics, UI, music)
Apr 22 08:05:37 5m 13s Leaning plates ♥ 0 What I like: - Gameplay is simple and easy to get started - Graphics is good given the time limit - Sound effect is a nice plus What can be further worked on: - The collision seems too "forgiving": there are several time I thought I missed it and that resulted in weird graphics - Add more content/mechanism to enrich the gameplay
Apr 22 08:12:04 6m 27s HealWall ♥ 1 Really nice idea. I like it a lot. The graphics is simple yet effective. The sound effect adds a nice touch. I am a bit confused when playing the first time so some in-game instructions would help. You can also consider adding some strategic depth (different types, combos, etc) to the game to make it more fun. Also the UI could be a little clear whether you are on a cooldown or not.
Apr 22 13:52:43 5h 40m Hedgehog Survival ♥ 1 What I like: - Very simple and relaxing casual game. I like the vibe. - The production quality is quite good. - Sound effect is a nice touch. What can be improved: - The fact that I can throw hedgehogs off screen feels a bit weird. - The collisions sometimes is a bit wonky.
Apr 22 14:02:51 10m 08s Keep Coron Alive ♥ 0 haha, I also did a virus simulation game, but from the other perspective (stop it from spreading) https://fishpondstudio.com/ld46/ At first I thought it was like Plague Inc, but then I realize that I have to click to spread the virus, which makes it quite action-centric. In general, for simulation game, I'd like to be able to make more macro/strategic decisions (maybe it's just me) The sound effect is way too real 😃
Apr 22 17:27:01 3h 24m Super B saves The City ♥ 1 Wow, the production quality of the game is impressive, especially given the 48h timeframe. The gameplay is also very engaging and exciting. The only improvement that I can think of is that some of the camera angle is a bit awkward.
Apr 22 17:29:28 2m 27s Fine Flowers ♥ 1 I like the art style. The clock matches my local time, which is really a nice touch :-)
Apr 22 17:34:25 4m 57s AntOhNo ♥ 1 The game is pretty difficult 😄. The audio adds a nice touch.
Apr 22 17:40:09 5m 44s Blokrok ♥ 1 The production quality of the game is very good, especially within 48h. The gameplay is easy to understand and the control is very intuitive. Well done! You can definitely develop this game and turn it into a casual mobile title.
Apr 22 19:15:27 1h 35m Locked'goshi ♥ 0 Love the graphics. Very well done. The audio is a nice touch (voting is disabled tho). I take a peek at the source and I am pleasantly surprised it is developed by Godot. I also like the humor in the game, and the toilet roll as currency 😄
