The itch.io page does not exist : "We couldn't find your page"

simonbeats 2020-04-20 13:40

Itch.io should be working now.

As the turrets only fire in one direction, it would help if there was an indicator on where the next waves would come from. Also could use some indication on what the objects do, since I wasn't sure what some of the objects were.

MAD ninjakiwi vibes. I love it. Seems like a cross between SAS TD and battle blocks. It would have been nice if on the first round there was an indicator which side the wave would spawn. I assumed it was coming from the top and built my defenses all wrong. Very fun game though!

I like it as a game, it was very hard because the turrets couldn't rotate, I really struggled to get past the first level but it was still fun. You probably don't need the quit button on the menu screen

I like having to aim the turrets around. Makes the waves a bit more interesting and not just a spectator game. Would be nice to have a better indication where enemies are coming from as later rounds requires a lot of micro management of the towers. Art style feels nice and there is a good selection of turrets to use.

Overall a nice little tower defense game.

The turrets can actually rotate during a wave, you have to leftclick to select a turret (multiselect possible) and confirm with rightclick.

My main criticism is learning how to play. It's unclear what each object does at the start. That being said, I love the idea of rotating your turrets manually instead of them aiming automatically like a normal tower defense game. After a few rounds, it becomes a frantic mess of aiming as fast as you can. Losing doesn't feel frustrating at all, either, so that's a plus.

(P.S: The first airstrike gave me a heart attack. :) )

Awesome game!

A little anoying text sound I have to admit ^^ Thats actually the first tower defence game I encountered this LD and I would have expected way more of these. I like the different guns and obstacles but they are so tiny ^^ otherwise you would probably not see the enemies incoming. best ist the rocket tower!

Neat idea!

The graphics are nice, I think with a bit more time the overall UI could have looked a bit better, but it still is fine especially for a game made in 48h!

Making a tower-defense kind of game for this theme is an amazing idea, and the premise of this game is pretty nice!

My only real complaint is about the lack of info on what each object does in game, maybe a popup text that would appear when hovering the object would be nice!

Overall, nice little game!

This reminds me of "They are Billions". The graphics is simple but works very well. I have to admit, the sound effect at the beginning is brutal to my ear :-)

Manually adjusting the turret shooting feels a bit too much. Maybe consider some auto shooting + manual override?

petrifiedapple 2020-04-22 15:08

good simple and challenging tower defense!

sanjuro 2020-04-23 20:43

I like the minimalistic graphics, but I found the game a bit unforgiving. I would have preferred to have more information before I had spent all my money in mysterious objects that were placed on the wrong side of the map. Also, the turret were very small, so clicking them was quite painful sometimes. Still, I liked the flow of the game and the fact that you have to aim the turrets gives it an interesting aspect that refreshes the tower-defense base. Good job!

Neat little game. I kept on getting stuck with only 4 of the same (really expensive) gun available, and didn't realize there was a button that, presumably, reset the shop inventory until the very end of my last round. I couldn't figure out what the grey blobs were, just walls? Couldn't tell if they did much. A few times I had guns that would keep firing but refuse to let me re-aim them (clicking did nothing), which was frustrating. Sound was pretty good, didn't get too annoying ^_^. Liked the effect on the typing, was good for setting the mood.

That was fun, I had to beat it. The learning curve is a little steep. It found it difficult to manage all my turrets and keep aiming them at the correct places at first. There's also nothing that really explains what other objects you can purchase are. Eventually I started to assume that these were cannon fodder to keep the enemy from destroying my units.

But the game is fun, and it has a surprising amount of variety in terms of enemies. The text boxes between waves was also nice. the little beeps and boops as the text was written out was nice and satisfying. I also like that you incorporated a tutorial to the game rather than just dump a rules and controls explanation at the beginning. Great entry!

Great tower defense game. Very impressive for 2 days of work. Nice graphics and it was pretty complete and polished.

My only issue with it is that the turrets only fired in one direction and I didn't know where the wave would come. If they followed the target I think it would be perfect. Great work!

incobalt 2020-04-25 01:56

Although I think the manual turning is interesting, there's too much going on too fast to really be able to respond and play as efficiently as the game wants you to. If the point is that it's a futile endeavor, then you've done a good job! Overall, I think the game looks good, though everything is so tiny. I need more feedback about what I'm doing when placing, I think.

rojola 2020-04-28 13:39

Good game! I am not fan of the tower defense genre but when it was done like this in realistic military setting I actually liekd it a lot! I wish this could be real full game some day, I would buy from Steam :)
