Apr 20 17:42:07 AetherPath ♥ 0 With some polish and some sound effects this would be really damn cool!
Apr 20 18:13:44 31m 37s PIZZA was plentiful and nothing hurt ♥ 1 Fun concept, but the controls are too slow for me to really get into it. In a game based on running and jumping, I just wish the controls felt more responsive and then I really would be hooked...
Apr 22 18:19:46 48h 06m Space Station Techie: Keepin' It Alive ♥ 1 I love the concept, and the level structure was really great! I felt that the difficulty curve was too steep. It felt like I was failing because the movement was too slow rather than because I hadn't mastered the controls yet, it made me lose motivation to keep trying to get better. Perhaps a greater time limit for earlier levels to let you get the hang of it a bit more at the start would make it more fun. Also would love some audio to go with this - it would quickly be very atmospheric and cool! Great effort for a compo game though, very well done :)
Apr 22 18:26:33 6m 47s Bloody Musician ♥ 1 It was well polished, it looked and sounded great! My main criticism is that it was really hard to see how my playing was influencing the effectiveness of my soldiers. I didn't notice that my queen was about to die until she was already dead... Some more audio feedback from the soliders and whatnot would really be good, you'd be able to tell whats going on in the whole game a lot better then. Overall though, great effort and a very well executed game!
Apr 22 18:34:23 7m 50s Garden Royale ♥ 1 A really good idea, just needs finishing off. Perhaps too large a scope for 3 days. If you'd left out the whole crafting side of it for the game jam, then it still would've been an effective concept but more achievable in the time frame perhaps. Still a fantastic effort though! I hope you keep on going with it :)
Apr 22 18:44:15 9m 52s Save the Plant ♥ 0 I do love procedural generation! I had a really good experience playing this. It was fun to explore for sun and water to keep the plant alive. It was pretty easy though - at no point did I have any challenge in getting past the enemies. All I had to do was walk around with left click held down and that was problem solved. A bigger challenge in terms of the enemies that I faced would've been great, and made the game more replay-able too. Very well done though, really enjoyable game!
Apr 22 18:52:26 8m 11s Heart String ♥ 1 Extremely unforgiving! Mistime your key press by a millisecond and you miss all the hearts and the key... Challenging game play, quite infuriating at times!
Apr 22 18:56:29 4m 03s I-jump-you-run ♥ 0 The most annoying thing for me was when Steve jumped, you could no longer see the ground to place more instructions, so you had a really small window of time to place the next instruction when he landed again! If the camera stayed in line with the ground I think I would've found this more enjoyable. Otherwise though, interesting mechanics and I did like your soundtrack!
Apr 27 14:32:18 115h 35m The Spark ♥ 1 It was surprisingly exciting! Pretty challenging, and the running out of charge thing made it very intense. Great concept, I really like it!
Apr 30 09:10:01 66h 37m That Time I Crossed A Barren Desert To Protect&Care The World From Terrible Code ♥ 1 It was a really fun game, it was pretty difficult at times. The mechanics were interesting, though I wasn't a fan of how the apples falling from the sky occurred randomly because that didn't let me refine my strategy for each level. Also, I probably would've preferred it if the game restarted automatically when you die.. I don't know why, but running from right to left really weirded me out, lol. It was a really fun experience though, and I did love all the graphics and sound. The backstory gave me a giggle, too :) Great job!
Apr 30 09:17:24 7m 23s Don't Kill, Wash Hands (First LUDUM) ♥ 1 I was struggling to understand what was going on. I was trying to make the bears go where I wanted them to go, but then I was never really sure if the bears were doing what I was wanting them to doing. With clearer audio or visual clues about what you're interactions were actually doing in the game, this game would be much clearer and a lot more fun as a result. It's a really good concept, but just needs a bit more refinement on the execution perhaps. I did love all the artwork though - it looked great!
Apr 30 09:29:46 12m 22s Captain! Captain! ♥ 1 Once I got the hang of what you're actually meant to do, I loved it! A little more instruction at the start would be good, but by a few attempts I could properly control the ship and it got really fun! The art and sound were perfect, the game felt fantastic, but above all the mechanic of only being able to power one system at a time is excellent. Fantastic job! My only criticism would be that once I got to about half way, I spent almost the entire time charging the ammo or firing at enemies, and I wouldn't have any time to move forward and make progress and this did get frustrating after a while. In my opinion there are a bit too many enemies, especially for only halfway through. Maybe in the last quarter it could get ramped up to that difficulty. Overall though, one of my favourite games so far!
Apr 30 09:49:39 19m 53s Antarctica Story ♥ 1 This game looks FANTASTIC! Excellent job on the artwork, couldn't have done that better to be honest. I also really liked the platforming physics, they felt just right, but the controls were a bit of an issue for me. Space and Z were an awkward combination, and when I'm using the arrows for moving left and right I like the up arrow also to be jump. Preferably, though, I would have used WASD to move because WASD + space is far far more comfortable. Also, the difficulty curve was far too high in my opinion. A difficult dash through a small gap right at the beginning was definitely too much, especially with awkward controls to get the hang of. Overall though, a great concept for the game and the artwork and physics were excellent. If it weren't for a couple of small design flaws then this would be such an excellent game. Fantastic effort!
Apr 30 09:57:44 8m 05s Draguinho ♥ 1 I liked the artwork and sound, they both worked really well! The most annoying thing for me was when fruit fell on the ground, it hindered your progress when you tried to walk past it to get to more fruit. I ended up in an endless cycle of not being able to pick up fruit because I couldn't walk past the fruit that I'd missed because I hadn't been able to get to it in time due to not being able to walk past the fruit on the ground... One thing that took me by surprise was the bandits that fell from the sky. I was thinking they would walk in from the sides, so that certainly shocked me, lol. My problem with the bandits was how fast they walked! When this was combined with the delay for shooting fireballs, it made killing the bandits without taking damage from them basically impossible. A couple of design issues, but on the whole the game worked and the dragon was cute, so I'm happy :)
