I think I completed it, I got the blue sparkler chicken dance party! Nice work for doing it in Unity so quick. The music was cool, but a bit short, maybe make some longer loops next time?

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding what I'm supposed to do in the game.
From my understanding, I should be pushing the chickens into the chutes? But I'm not sure how I can do so other than walking to the other side of the chute and hoping the chickens will collide with it somehow.
Also, I'm not sure how the butchers decide when to start killing chickens, is it random? I couldn't spot a pattern, so it was hard for me to figure out how often I needed to shake hands with the butchers.
It also took me a really long time to realize that the map is more than just the lit up area, perhaps it is a little bit too dark? Maybe the transition to the dark areas can be a little smoother so it's clear that they aren't walls.
I really like the art style though, it's very unique and reminds me a little bit of adventure time with finn and jake. The music also fits the atmosphere of the game really well, so even though I was confused I was still having a good time! Good work :)
@quichi I understand your struggle. Its my first ludum dare and I didn't prepare enough time for Tutorial and Debugging. Thank you for your comment and suggestion!
Good job! I couldn't figure out how to calm the berzerking bears but I had no trouble coaxing chickens to follow me to the safety cannon. :D Keep up the good work!
@lorne basically Hit SPACE when the bear is near. I figure by now maybe I should put the interactions in different key
This is really hard, but I still had a good time playing it despite losing. And I think it looks cool as well. GG! I think it would have been good to have different controls for the different actions: space to touch the bears' hands, something else to coax the chickens and put them in the cannons. I wasn't sure what my character was doing each time I pressed space.
@fudgemcgroobs I am so glad that you like it! Thank you!
While I do like the game, I feel that it could benefit from some kind of tutorial. It's a good game idea but I think you may lose some players just from them not understanding. Apart from that though I liked the music and felt the graphics fit the game well.
Those chickens are beautiful and I am proud to have saved them.
i like the characters
@adamwatters True! I agree. Tutorial is important.
As others have said, I did not get what is the objective of the game at first and the dark area suggested that it is map boundary. Cool game nonetheless, art was nice and music fitting
Nice game :)
I miss tutorial, because it hard to figure out how to play it, but I see in the comments that you know it already. Nice art:)
@anchoredtoad @mehrdadsh @peto184 @sheetcode @nikkrope Thank you!
Congratulations on your first LD ^^ I like the way you went about the theme but there are some things that needs improvement. For instance interacting with both the bears and chickens is a bit unclear. Some extra visual or audio-cues would probably help, and the animation for these interactions should probably be a bit quicker. Getting the chickens to enter the cannons could be a bit smoother. I assume the trigger area for this interaction is just a bit small.
Really cool and moody entry nonetheless. I hope we get to see more from you in future LD's ^^
@gaminghamster Thank you for your suggestion! I will improve the user experience in my future LD’s!
I really liked this idea, it seemed pretty cool, but I was very lost and confused. I didn't really understand what was going on, and I got lost a couple times. Keep it up, a good tutorial would go a long way!
I was struggling to understand what was going on. I was trying to make the bears go where I wanted them to go, but then I was never really sure if the bears were doing what I was wanting them to doing. With clearer audio or visual clues about what you're interactions were actually doing in the game, this game would be much clearer and a lot more fun as a result.
It's a really good concept, but just needs a bit more refinement on the execution perhaps. I did love all the artwork though - it looked great!
I really like the idea, the only problem I had is I finished the game too quickly. I got 4 chickens into the cannon, then I got one more, and the it took me to the end screen. I don't know if that was a bug, or if I just got lucky, but overall great game. I really liked the art, and the idea is really innovative too.
