Apr 23 21:20:11 Dungeon Furnisher ♥ 0 The idea is great. The first couple of times my blob was wrecked on the first room. But then, watching your blob running around like mad, turning into a invincible slayer is very satisfying! Currently it feels a bit random, because the player does not have that much choice. Some ideas: * Make it possible to discard or buy some cards? * Randomize the order of the cards. Don't group them by type? Maybe the player can choose from a deck instead of only taking them down from a list. You could maybe build some kind of card-tree (cards requiring other cards). * Let me distribute the cards more freely, meaning slots can take all types of cards? Don't know how to hinder the player from placing all goodies on the first room, though... Good concept overall. Really liked the music, btw!
Apr 23 21:37:40 17m 29s Manifest Destiny ♥ 2 I really like the idea of mixing RPG elements with realtime 3D action. I made it through the first run with one ally. The last battle in the woods was exciting! I like the day/night cycle and the blocky environment. Moving the player feels a bit random, also because of the fixed camera rotation. But I really enjoyed the action, fighting with my teammates. Good job!
Apr 23 21:45:02 7m 22s Dumbulance ♥ 1 First and foremost: The title and concept of this game is hilarious! What a nice little game. The animations are cute. I like that you can see the progress below. And you did a great job with the ending animation. Good job!
Apr 23 21:58:07 13m 05s Donor ♥ 0 I like the concept of trying to figure out who the maniacs are. There's a lot of action at the beginning of the game but after killing some maniacs they seem to calm down and not much happens anymore? In the last game I played I had to wait 50 seconds without any more civilians dying. Can't tell why. Good job with the 16 bit era graphics and all those different characters. Reminded me of Maniac Mansion. And I like the weird music!
Apr 23 23:21:26 1h 23m Beam Slinger ♥ 3 One of the most relaxing games I've played. Very nice and smooth! The rope physics are well done and the effects are nice to look at, especially the rainbow one :) You also did a good job with the intro! One thing I struggled with: Sometimes finding a missed orb can be quite a challenge if you don't know where to look at. There are so many gray indicators but no blue ones, when you're far from them. Maybe try removing the gray indicators and only show the blue and golden one, but from farther away? But nonetheless, very good job. Thanks for the game!
Apr 23 23:29:48 8m 22s The Birb ♥ 3 Very nice atmosphere and environment. I enjoyed the progress with the different items in very different places. Would have loved to find out more about the raven-human and the story behind him. Nice one!
Apr 23 23:44:22 14m 34s Save robot heart ♥ 0 Very good job for your first entry! The game works well, the robot animations are smooth and the gameplay is simple to understand. I got to score 108 the second time around. As soon as you get into the flow, the game gets a bit repetitive, though. Maybe more weapons and robots would have been a nice addition. Nonetheless, good game and congratulations for making a playable game in such a short time. *Thumbs up*
Apr 24 07:35:23 7h 51m Keep it @alive ♥ 0 The cute graphics within those comic-frames are really great. The soothing music is a nice touch. I started out walking through the fields for the first couple of days in the rain, but a few days later I captures myself staying in bed the whole day posting cat pictures. It's a perfect representation of my life. Thank you for this game!
Apr 24 07:50:08 14m 45s The Last Robot Archer ♥ 0 This is a great concept I haven't seen before. It's simple to understand but needs a bit of practice to master. The portal and explosion effects are awesome. I also like the upbeat music. Very good overall. Had fun playing it and would gladly play more levels!
Apr 24 09:03:36 1h 13m Last Beer ♥ 0 Seriously, this game is awesome. It's just too lifelike. Why does every trip of me to the bar end like this? So many things to adore in this game. I love how it gets progressively harder. The animations are great, parallax and screen effects, different kinds of characters, music adjusts the tempo. And the ending screens are awesome. Well done! My Highscore: I_Like_Beer.jpg
Apr 24 09:16:21 12m 45s Space Exodus ♥ 2 Hey, well done! It's a simple concept, but well executed. You need to get used to the different sounds first and their effects, but then its quite an adventure. The first time my ship was getting really cold and I simply could not find a planet, which gave me heat. Imagine finally finding me a sun for the first time and happily running into it. Lol! The graphics have a nice retro touch. I actually like the two-color palette. The colors work well together and are nice to look at. Well done!
Apr 24 09:38:52 22m 31s to Leave ♥ 1 I actually did it, I think. The trick is: ignore all sounds which are weird and start searching for two samples which work well together. Go from there. About 20 minutes later I had a sail. I didn't know how to use it and pushed it into the water with the character... Anyway: The graphics are great! And I like the small animations you built in. The final music of each level is also nice to listen to, when you finally get it. Good job!
Apr 24 09:58:37 19m 45s HEAL ME PLZ ♥ 5 Wow, I was able to defeat the dark lord. What a trip! First and foremost: The intro and boss intro is excellent. I'm blown away, really. The pixel graphics are nice too, although a bit hard to read, when a lot it going on, but I guess that's part of the action. It really felt great to save your mates from all that mayhem and helping out as good as possible. Haven't felt like that since playing WOW or Guild Wars many years ago. Overall a solid game with wonderful graphics, animations, sounds and music. Great stuff!
Apr 24 10:22:03 23m 26s Wheels of Rage: Enter the Scrapstorm ♥ 3 Very nice. I've read how you made your music and it was fascinating. The end result sounds very nice! The game itself is great! It really felt like an interactive version of Mad Max Fury Road! Awesome vibes! Avoiding obstacles and bullets and shooting enemies are quite many tasks mixed in together and it felt a bit overwhelming, though. But nonetheless a very solid game. My higscore: WheelsOfRageHighscore.png
Apr 24 13:28:04 3h 06m Keep Everything Alive ♥ 2 Funny game. I like how everything gets more frantic after a while. And the different mechanics and styles mixed together make this a work of art.
Apr 24 21:43:55 8h 15m Leap Of Faith ♥ 2 That poor little fish! Well done. So simple, but quite hard. It's amazing how nervous I got watching the oxygen level go down while trying to get out of the space between a sofa and a fish tank, lol. I think, you really captured the theme very well. Good job.
Apr 24 21:53:49 9m 54s Yoda Eternal ♥ 1 I'm impressed by the environment. The plant, castle, yoda and the enemies look really detailed. For such a short amount of time you can be really proud. The weapons and gameplay could use some more polish, but it's a good start!
Apr 27 20:07:00 70h 13m Plague Medic ♥ 1 There's a lot to love about this game. The environment, lighting, tiles, props and characters are amazing. The music fits perfectly. But its a tad bit too roguelike for my taste. The first time I played, I used up all my ammo quite soon, realizing that I need to conserve it. Then I started to run past all monsters but still went out of ammo soon. I think, that this game would be a lot nicer to play, with more ammo and less enemy hitpoints. I know, it's meant to be roguelike, but if you give players a sword and potions they want to kill monsters and not run around them. I also wandered around the dungeon aimlessly for quite some time, without much interesting happening. There's also quite some backtracking, when you finally get an item. After picking up the second item (battery?) after about 10 minutes running around I got killed by the golem defending it, because I ran out of ammo. That's when I gave up. Don't get me wrong. It's impressive, what you did there. And kudos to using Godot. But the gameplay unfortunately wasn't for me.
Apr 27 20:17:15 10m 15s Lamps ♥ 2 The environment and atmosphere is amazing. The dog is cute. I got to the end, but, it was kinda pointless, I tought? Would have loved to learn more about the house, the dog and the ghosts.
Apr 27 20:32:40 15m 25s How to Air ♥ 1 This is amazing! The intro is awesome! The environment is wonderful to explore and the creatures are lovely. Everything worked perfectly and kinda made sense. Would have loved more puzzles, but hey, I'm happy that I could get to the end without any problems. You did a great job! Would love to play more like this!
Apr 27 20:42:06 9m 26s LIFE:anti-viral ♥ 0 Very interesting concept. Had a bit of problem with aiming, it felt a bit out of control. But everything ran smooth and it was nice to look at. *Thumbs up*
Apr 27 20:50:47 8m 41s Save the FOX! ♥ 3 This game looks wonderful and the characters are lovely. The tutorial is great and it feels to look after your fox. The music is very relaxing. Had a bit of issues with the fox and player pushing each other around and jumping felt kinda odd, because it's not very clear, where branches end. But otherwise good stuff.
Apr 27 20:58:56 8m 09s The Dark Cave ♥ 2 I love the Limbo-esque graphics and atmosphere. Really well done! The cave sounds where perfect. Would love to play more of it with puzzles and story!
Apr 27 21:12:23 13m 27s The Last Guardian ♥ 2 This one is really nice. Took me a while to figure out, that I also needed to water the big acorn, but as then it was great fun! The environment is great, the characters look nice and the gameplay is hectic but fair. Really well done!
Apr 27 21:22:37 10m 14s Message ♥ 1 Good stuff! The menu is great, the lighting is awesome. I love the level background. The strange story is the icing on the cake. Only gripe is, that it's too short, but I can live with that. Good job!
Apr 27 21:35:12 12m 35s Root Quest ♥ 1 Very nice. Love the idea of growing your root to find a level! Mixing 3D and 2D worked really well in this game. The music is awesome. The platforming worked really well. A level was a bit confusing and I had no idea where to go. But otherwise good job!
Apr 28 19:17:09 21h 41m The Cave ♥ 2 The relaxing music is nice, the contact sound after jumping a bit harsh, though. I like the lighting effect and it looks like the cave wall is normal mapped. Nice. I also like games which play around with mixing 2D and 3D effects. Unfortunately I could not progress after a while. Needs some work I guess, but good start anyway!
Apr 28 19:30:16 13m 07s Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) ♥ 1 Very nice game! The planet is adorable. The controls work fine, catching stars is fun and needs a bit of skill. The planting tree bit works, but my only gripe is, that you can't anticipate from where comets will be incoming, so you just plant enough of them around the planet. It's ok I guess, but a bit pointless. Anyhow, I had fun saving my planets. Well done!
Apr 28 20:20:41 50m 25s For Ducks' Sake ♥ 1 The idea is crazy. I love crazy ideas. And that's why I love this game! The animations are adorable, the sound effects are funny, the gameplay fits the theme perfectly. Kudos!
Apr 28 20:34:21 13m 40s A Balloon's Journey ♥ 1 Something I haven't seen before. Very nice! Unfortunately really, really hard. You need to have a sixth sense to know where enemies are going to spawn. And even though the environment is nice, it's hard to grasp where obstacles are you need to avoid. The balloon is very hard to control. All-in-all I like the idea and it looks nice. Well done! But it was way to difficult for me.
Apr 28 20:50:33 16m 12s King's Table ♥ 1 Hey, this game is very solid. The idea of reusing chess elements for tower defense is clever. It works quite well. Gets a bit repetitive after a while, the sound too, but overall a very good entry which fits the theme. Well done!
Apr 28 20:58:44 8m 11s Lights Out ♥ 2 Phew, this was really intense. The bumping sound was freaking me out, lol. Very nice environment and the lighting effects are great. It's a bit difficult to figure out where to go and what to do next, but otherwise well done!
Apr 28 21:08:43 9m 59s LifeForm ♥ 1 Had quite some fun when I realized that this was just a collection of minigames. Hitting buttons, turning levers kept me quite busy. The bloom effects burnt through my gpu, but otherwise good job!
Apr 28 21:15:24 6m 41s Abiogenesis ♥ 1 Very nice. The graphics are amazing. I love the background and the vines. Controlling the direction is a bit tricky and it was simpler for me avoiding the splitting altogether. Don't know if this was intended. Good job overall!
Apr 29 19:16:48 22h 01m Noble ♥ 2 Very interesting. I married into a large family and it's crazy how few generations it takes to completely get overwhelmed by a large family tree. This game is a very lifelike simulation. I like the names, how the faces get older, the smooth transitions of the tree. Would love to play around more with some game elements. Good job! It kept me entertained for a while!
Apr 29 19:49:05 32m 17s Save the torch! ♥ 1 There's a lot to like about this game. The art is gorgeous and the mechanics are really interesting. Really, you did a great job. Because this is such a good entry, it deserves a honest review of some elements I did not enjoy: * Jumping with up and picking-up/throwing with space is mind-bending to me, because I usually jump with space. It took me a couple of minutes to adjust. Jumping itself felt a bit too floaty. * Small flames should not hurt the player. It's really unfair if your torch lands on a flame and you die when you try to pick it up. * Restarting the whole game when dying was a bit annoying. Restarting the level would have been ok. * You can't predict where the torch lands after hitting an enemy. If one of the fast enemies bumps it around all the time on a small platform you're basically bust. * The music was a bit repetitive. Don't get me wrong. It's a great entry nonetheless!
Apr 29 20:25:47 36m 42s Pug Panic ♥ 1 You Sir are cruel! How can you unleash such a panic inducing game on us mere mortals without feeling bad? But seriously, the game is awesome! The art, the music, the idea, the window management, Damsel. I can't believe you did all of this within 2 days. That's crazy! Are you insane? Well, that would explain this game! Well done! Now let me kill this dog once more.
Apr 29 20:52:08 26m 21s Seeking Power ♥ 2 Hey I actually really liked this one. It was simple and it made me want to reach the end which I finally did. The graphics are a bit all over the place. For example most textures seem to be filtered while the birds are unfiltered. Also maybe change the default unity background first. I also did not get what those green orbs are useful for? But beside those minor gripes I really enjoyed the platforming part with movement speed depending on the available energy. And I loved double jumps. It's a very good start and with some improvements it could be quite amazing! Good job!
Apr 29 21:00:30 8m 22s The negotiator ♥ 1 The game worked really well. It's easy to play and the conversation was actually quite funny with some strange choices which want me to play the game more to uncover them all. Well done!
Apr 29 21:22:44 22m 14s Gooperworm ♥ 1 This game was a great experience. I love the simple mouse controls (they are similar to my game called Living Light by the way). The graphics, music and sound effects are very relaxing. I also think that you introduced all different mechanics really, really well. It's a perfect in-game tutorial! The difficulty is a bit all over the place. Some sections are very easy while others are hard. A few enemies were stuck behind a wall now and then, but I was happy they did, lol. I think, the speed of the player is the main reason, that difficulty is so unpredictable. Maybe it would be easier, if you could control the speed of the player. Also I could not really find a use for the secondary skill. All in all a very nice, relaxing game. Well done!
Apr 29 21:37:07 14m 23s Keep Me Breathing ♥ 2 Great game! I love the idea! Matching colors was quite difficult I thought, but it was a good exercise. Love the art style and the attention to detail. Music and sound effects were great. Well done!
Apr 29 21:49:49 12m 42s Big Buddy ! ♥ 0 I really like the hand drawn art in this game. Movement and jumping feels great. But the difficulty is really high! Navigating through a screen full of monsters and feeding your buddy at the same time is hard, but probably intended? Idea: Would have loved some kind of level progression with each level getting harder. That was my highscore: big_buddy.jpg Thanks for this game!
Apr 29 22:08:30 18m 41s Unended ♥ 1 Very good game! he simplistic art style is fantastic. Sound worked well. And the game fit the theme perfectly! Kudos! Difficulty was a bit too hard for my taste, but maybe I'm not hardcore enough. Good Job!
Apr 30 09:08:11 10h 59m Last Lantern ♥ 2 This game looks wonderful! The simple color palette, the eyes of the monsters in the dark the light and shadows. All of it is awesome. The music fits perfectly. The lantern mechanic is a nice idea and I like the checkpoints system. As @antti-haavikko already said, there's a problem with the boxes which can't be pushed anymore for some reason. It also held me back from completing the game. But well, shit happens. Otherwise it's an awesome entry! Good job!
Apr 30 09:51:18 43m 07s LEADER KEEP THEM ALIVE ♥ 1 This game is truly something special! You convincingly replicated Flight Control on a mission. The tutorial is great and after a few moments I really felt like being in control of the situation. Awesome! The sound effects are perfect, the screen effects and status monitors are top-notch and the story is well done. Would have loved to play more and harder missions with different things going awry left and right. This could be the base for a marvelous game I always dreamed of! Well done!
Apr 30 11:54:07 2h 02m Cat Dad Redemption ♥ 1 Really great game you got there! Kept me on my toes from the start to the end. The voice over, sounds and music are insanely good. The sprites all have so much personality. The gameplay is simple to learn and hard to master, which is great. The last 2 fights (well I think it were the last 2), were tremendously close to impossible. Would have loved to experience the ending. Unfortunately the game did not finish after following level: Cat_Redemption.jpg Otherwise an excellent, polished game! Perfect!
Apr 30 12:27:24 33m 17s Heading North ♥ 1 This would be my type of game. The sprites are great: Characters, trees and car/shop look are amazing. As others have said, movement is a bit odd and I would have enjoyed more places to visit and quests. Other than that, this could be an awesome game.
Apr 30 14:38:31 2h 11m Save The President ♥ 2 Very nice! Cool little puzzles, combined with cute pixel art and funny dialog. Love it!
Apr 30 15:00:32 22m 01s The Lizard in the Owl's Nest ♥ 1 I actually enjoyed this game after getting used to the controls! The music and the floating movement of the owl are very relaxing. The tree and background look great by the way. A few small nitpicks: 1) 566MB for a game? Crazy! I guess this is UE's fault but still. Wow! 2) I would have loved some progress indicator. I finally made it to the end, but I didn't know beforehand if there was an end... 3) In the beginning I did not know, that the owl picks up things automatically. But that was just a minor annoyance. Anyway, I still enjoyed it. All-in-all nice, relaxing and everything worked out of the box. *Thumbs-Up*
Apr 30 19:55:43 4h 55m Pumpkin Keeper ♥ 1 I really enjoyed this game! Everything is adorable: From the colorful pixel art to the quirky music and sound effects and the hectic gameplay. This is a great base to build a game upon with more machinery and enemies to handle. Well done!
Apr 30 20:08:47 13m 04s Keep chicks alive! ♥ 1 This game had me smiling throughout! The wonderful retro pixel art, the tiny animations, the hectic music and the snappy controls were all top-notch. You introduced new gameplay elements really well. Bravo!
Apr 30 20:22:11 13m 24s The Protective Samurai ♥ 1 Really nice idea controlling two characters at once. Controls worked quite well and the special attack was useful and nice to look at. Yeah the missing colliders and enemies getting stuck in the door or on the field tarnish an otherwise fine game, but hell, I know how physic engines can suck, so shit happens sometimes. Well done!
Apr 30 20:32:09 9m 58s Beat Sturgeon ♥ 1 I would love to get into this game, because I love beat games like Crypt of Necrodancer, but I could not figure it out. This game could use some kind of tutorial which slowly introduces you into the mechanics without overwhelming the player. I tried so many times, but I could not figure out if my actions actually had some effect. But the graphics look nice and the music is funky. That much I could see and hear in my otherwise short games :)
Apr 30 20:48:05 15m 56s Sisters' Lighthouse ♥ 1 Wow, so much content! The art is fabulous! The colors, music, camera work and story match together perfectly. I'm not such a fun of go left/go right decisions, but I saw that you got a skip function which worked perfectly to uncover the whole story. Good job!
Apr 30 21:00:28 12m 23s Keep It Charged ♥ 1 It's an interesting puzzle game. But I think the isometric view just did not fit the WASD keys, so I mis-pressed a lot, which unfortunately restarts the whole game. Bummer. But otherwise the graphics look fine and I like how you used the environment for messages.
Apr 30 21:22:25 21m 57s Tumbleweed ♥ 2 The visual fidelity of this game is definitely amazing. The environment, props, textures, shaders and lighting are brilliant! I still played through it even though my mobile gpu was screaming under the load. It was a bit hard to control, but every obstacle made sense. I enjoyed the ending. Good job! Definitely AAA game studio quality!
Apr 30 21:31:26 9m 01s The Keep! It's Alive! ♥ 2 Lots of fun! Wonderful idea! Great pixel art and animations! The game was quite hard, but I like that you do not have to be perfect on each level to progress. You did a great job, thanks for this game!
Apr 30 21:49:35 18m 09s Resquack ♥ 2 Such a lovely game! Cute art style, wonderful music and sound effects and the game itself is not that simple but fair. You did a great job!
May 1 19:45:19 21h 55m Bubble Story ♥ 1 Great idea! The two bubble states are very interesting and a great combination. It felt really nice to advance through the level, although the part near the button was quite tricky! But the checkpoints were really great, so it never felt unfair. I also loved the simple art style and soothing music. Good job!
May 1 20:02:22 17m 03s Keep Him Alive ♥ 0 I accidentally played the initial version first and then the post LD version. Wow, what an improvement! The sound effect and slower enemy speed makes a huge difference! Yes there are some things which could still be improved: Dungeon layout, enemy behavior, loot. And maybe a bit less screen shake ;) But otherwise it was a good job and could be the base for something interesting!
May 1 20:20:12 17m 50s Bébert and Gertrude against the Aliens ♥ 1 Wow, this is such a gem! I LOVE the art style, the animations and the environment. The sound effects are great and funny. I also think that the music fits perfectly, although it vanishes a bit in the background behind all those sound effects. The gameplay is super interesting, but that stupid sheep does never seem to do what I want :) You did a great introduction and tutorial. I also like the upgrades. I could not pass wave 5, but it was a great experience. Well done to the whole team!
May 1 22:02:34 1h 42m HYPERHOP: GALACTIC LANCER ♥ 2 This game is interesting and a lot of things are noteworthy: The environment, player and planets look beautiful. Going from free flight to planet works seamlessly. The crazy animation you get for beating a planet is amazing! But there are a couple of negatives: Hitting a planet which turns around like crazy with no crosshair felt like trying to hit a mosquito with a laser pointer. FPS did go up and down wildly which didn't make it easier. Also, each planet looks differently, but the gameplay is exactly the same, which is unfortunate. And sometimes when moving around, it feels like you have some gimbal lock issues, but it's hard to tell. However: Good job for a 3D game! It's a nice adventure and the ending was funny :)
May 1 22:45:03 42m 29s Mycelium ♥ 1 This is a really great game! The pixel art is amazing. The small animations and the colors are brilliant. The sound effects are great. And the gameplay is interesting, although a bit on the hard side. It's great that you can exactly place new seeds and water from afar. The movement speed feels slow sometimes and small mushrooms are gone too quickly I think. Would be great to have more mushrooms with defensive capabilities. But other than that, good job!
May 2 20:48:26 22h 03m GhostVac ♥ 0 Cool idea. I like the arcade machine style. The game itself is very interesting and I like the boss fight. Unfortunately I was only able to start the boss fight once in the html build. The other times the fight did not start. I think, because not all balls entered the playfield? But I'm not sure. Anyway, nice idea, wonderful graphics. I liked it.
May 2 21:05:20 16m 54s Cardboard Frank ♥ 1 Nice game, really felt like a super hero! The environment is amazing and flying fast feels good. Performance sucked a bit on my laptop, that's why the game was quite hard for me. I also had problems finding ammo sometimes. But all in all a nice experience. Here's my highscore: Cardboard_Frank_Highscore.jpg
May 2 21:11:42 6m 22s Companion ♥ 0 A little fun game you got there! I like the sprites, small animations and the zelda-like dungeons. Fighting with your sword feels powerful, maybe even a bit too powerful. Sometimes enemies get stuck in the wall and sometimes it's hard to hit them if they are right above you. The music is fun and works for this short game, but it gets a bit repetitive. All in all a nice, little game, which I'd gladly play more of it!
May 4 19:37:30 46h 25m Remember, Apollo ♥ 0 This is a wonderful experience. The pixel art and color palette is awesome. The backgrounds are breathtaking and the fog effect is mesmerizing. I also like the small animations everywhere. The narrative is nice. It's a solid story well presented. I had to redo some of the paths, because I fell down on a previous path point, but that's ok. I'm not so sure about the shooting mechanic. It's fun for a while, but in the end it's just a vehicle to drive the story and maybe even a bit annoying. Most shots feel more like luck. But this is admittedly just nitpicking on a very high level. All in all an impressive compo game!
May 4 19:46:14 8m 44s Loading... ♥ 3 A nice small game you got there. The art style is interesting and the music rocks. I love the simple mouse control! (Shameless plug: my game [Living Light](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/living-light) uses exactly the same controls :) I like that you can just float through spaces and the game basically follows you. Feels very relaxing. Could be a bit more difficult, but that's ok. Good job!
May 4 20:12:01 25m 47s Father dies At The End ♥ 1 The main menu background is amazing. The title and those feet... Wow, well done! The intro story combined with thee music is great and builds up the tension. Would have been nice though, if you could skip it or fast forward. I am really too dumb and completely fail to understand how to use the defibrillator. Do I have to drag it onto the patient? Do I have to move the mouse left and right to charge? Do I have to let go of the mouse button at the correct moment? I have no idea, sorry. Even though I did not get far, you made a nice gloomy experience. Good job!
May 4 20:30:54 18m 53s ReOrb ♥ 2 A nice little game you got there! I like the art style combined with the bloom effect. The music and sounds is nice but a bit repetitive. The first few waves are the most interesting ones. I took me a while to understand that you need to move the mouse around the center in a circular fashion. The problem was, that the mouse and the first barrier you build are not at the same angular position. It's a bit strange. As soon as you build a ring of converters the game is basically won. Converters and barriers are too powerful. Maybe they should break after a while or add a limit to how many you can have or buy. Apart from those minor nitpicks, a great game!
May 4 20:49:41 18m 47s Meatball VS Gymzilla ♥ 1 Funny game! Meatball vs Gozilla, well that's definitely something I haven't played before! The mutations all have different uses and you actually need a bit of strategy to win. The trucks are a funny addition and fit into the overall theme of the game. All-in-all a bit gross and crazy, but I guess that was intended :) Good job!
May 4 21:15:55 26m 14s On Air ♥ 2 Interesting game! First and foremost: The pixel art is fantastic and how you mixed those different music tracks together is awesome! The gameplay is innovative, but a bit too hectic for my taste. I knew what I was supposed to do, but the difficulty curve went up a bit too steep and new tasks were not introduced well. Only once was I able to return a dog into the cage, don't know why it did not work the other times. But probably I was just to dumb to figure it out. Apart from the minor issues, the rest was top-notch!
May 4 21:41:05 25m 10s Mammoth Expedition ♥ 2 Well done! It was a fascinating adventure, making difficult choices and handling the situation under dire conditions. The dialog is good and the different characters are all interesting. About 500m in I was quite sure, that I could not make it. But I still did, which makes it clear to me that you balanced the choices and effects quite well! Very similar to the game "60 Seconds! Reatomized", I guess you were inspired by it?
May 5 19:24:28 21h 43m Chill Thrive ♥ 2 Hey, this is really a nice, relaxing game as you promised. The sprites are simple but nice. The dynamic music is interesting and you actually need to balance the 3 parameters quite a bit. The first two times my plant suffocated. But then I realized, that you actually need to drag from the wind button multiple times to the right to really have an effect. But then everything worked smoothly. Well done! You really did well for your first entry!
May 5 19:44:27 19m 59s Death's Compass ♥ 0 It's an interesting game and I quit enjoyed it after I got used to the rope and jumping. What makes it difficult is, that you can't really see, how far you can shoot your rope and sometimes you rope yourself into buildings or rocks, which is very confusing. But the triple jump helped out a lot. By the way: I thought the game ran much better on chrome than firefox. I also had to reduce the mouse sensitivity a lot to better aim. Good job for a 3D entry. I very much enjoyed it after all.
May 5 19:50:43 6m 16s apples ♥ 1 Nice little game you got there! Took me a while to understand the eating and throwing mechanic, but I was to dumb and skipped the instructions... Anyway, from then on everything went smooth and great. You need to be fast, but it's a nice challenge. Would have loved to play more levels, because I liked the blocky pixel art and the crazy music. I'd also like to learn more about the player and its little pet. Nice one!
May 7 19:50:16 47h 59m Untitled Phoenix Game ♥ 3 This is a wonderful experience! The pixel art combined with the lighting is gorgeous. The environment and level design is awesome. The way you introduced all different mechanics is perfect. The controls, which are quite complex, simply work well. The music is nice to listen to. And it's a wonderful journey from start to finish. Thank you for this game. This is real art!
May 7 19:57:08 6m 52s MicroVore ♥ 1 I have no idea what I'm looking at. But I like it.
May 7 20:07:02 9m 54s Happy Life ♥ 2 Very nice game! Lot's of small tasks mixed together. The graphic is nice and you really captured the the atmosphere of a restaurant. I really like the game, but geeez, it's so hectic that it very much feels like work... But still, good job!
May 7 20:21:26 14m 24s Until it blooms ♥ 1 This is such a wonderful game! The graphics are really nice. I love the moon base look. The music is awesome. The gameplay is simple, but there's a perfect balance between all three resources. There's always something to do, but it never feels boring or unfair. You actually connect to the tree you need to look after! And I was deeply touched by the ending. Thank you for this great piece of art!
May 7 20:29:52 8m 26s Test-a-ball ♥ 1 The ball looks really good! I have no idea what magic gives it it's form, but it looks like soft body physics or a really good approximation. I like that you gave it some personality with a face. The jumping feels a bit weird. Sometimes it doesn't jump when I want to and sometimes it unexpectedly does. Nonetheless I'm impressed by what you did there in Godot 3D, which is not very widely used. Good job :)
May 8 20:59:42 24h 29m Guns N' Violets ♥ 1 Wow, this game is awesome! It's very simple, but you obviously put a lot of work into every detail. The graphics rock, the controls are smooth as butter and the game itself gives you a wonderful adrenaline rush. Made it to wave 7... It's not that simple and takes some practice. But it's a lot of fun. The waves and weapons are awesome. Conserving ammo is very important and you need to be very aware of your surroundings. Really great job! Loved every second of it!
May 8 21:10:29 10m 47s Birdie Burglars ♥ 1 Wow, everything about this game is cute! The music is great, the art-style is wonderful, the gameplay feels fresh and the controls and aiming work really nice. It was really fun throwing around all those cats. Great job!
May 8 21:21:00 10m 31s Crab It Alive! ♥ 1 Nice and creative game. The graphics really shine. The controls work nice. The only gripe I have is, that it very much feels like work! lol! And those electric eels are really hard to avoid. But maybe I just need some more practice :) Good job overall!
May 8 22:19:13 58m 13s Dance Dance Unicorn of Magic! ♥ 1 Funny game you got there! Love the music! Mixing a shooter and dancing unicorns is a concept, I've never considered. But now, that I think about it more, it makes complete sense! Unfortunately I did not get really far. I think, the only thing, which is missing, is a better starting weapon. Something like a minigun shooting rainbows. Nonetheless, good job!
May 9 20:17:40 21h 58m Protect The Torch! ♥ 2 Nice game you got there! The sprites look really nice and the animations are wonderful. I'm also fascinated by the rainfall and the hanging platforms. Wow! The return-torch-to-the-start part is a great mechanic. I had a bit of problems to understand, that you can use an item once per run and that they stay where you left them for the next run. Actually it's logical and I feel kinda dumb, that I did not get it in the beginning. You even explained it in-game, but it's still something you only understand, when you see and experience it. Also, what messed me up a bit is, that you don't really know, which items you will need first, before you traversed the level, but I guess, that's intended. The bomb was a bit hard to use, because it did not stick to the spikes. And maybe the hitboxes of blobs and spikes could be smaller. But apart from that I had fun! Amazing entry with a lot of content and mechanics!
May 10 18:50:50 22h 33m Soul Seed ♥ 0 Wow! From the very first note on this game is amazing! The music is magical. The way you introduced the basic mechanics is very well done. I love how you progress through the levels by opening new doors and sometimes revisit already seen places. The platforming aspect is great, not too hard, not too simple. I am thankful that I found this game so close to the end of LD46. A real gem! Great job!
May 10 18:58:52 8m 02s You're Invited! ♥ 1 Great game and cool concept! Very stressful, but feels like at a real party :) It's hard to keep track of where stuff runs out and there's really no time talking to all guests. But I guess, that's the way it is meant to be! I enjoyed every second of it, even though I seem to be a bad party giver lol!
May 10 19:13:02 14m 10s The Adventures of Eggbert ♥ 1 Good job! It's a simple game and the more games I play on Ludum Dare, the more I enjoy games which are easy to get into. What took away the fun a bit was the middle platform, where foxes could not reach me. I spent a lot of time on there, watching them go past me. And when I reached 5000 points, they could suddenly jump to that platform and killed me quite fast, lol. All in all I enjoyed the game. Could be awesome with higher jumps and more places to jump to.
May 10 19:33:53 20m 51s ADRENA-LINE ♥ 1 I really like this game! Such a nice concept and the game really lives up to its name! I love how it gets harder and after a while you really start to see patterns how to progress. But time pressure really pushes you nearer to the end from one level to the next, which is a great feeling! I also love the simplistic art style. The screen shake and sound effects are perfect and the controls simply work. You did a great job with the procgen, too. Well done! It's a great time waster :) adrinaline-zubspace-highscore.jpg
May 10 19:47:03 13m 10s JarHeads ♥ 1 Great concept! But phew, this is hard! I really think you need quite some practice to get into your head, that purple hurts you and blue hurts it. But it's really fun an quite a mind bender. Well done!
May 12 09:36:02 37h 48m Flippy Fish ♥ 2 This game is hilarious! First: I love the art style, the animations and the music! Especially the music, lol, it's awesome! I think you captured that whole Japanese vibe really well. The gameplay is simple and it's easy to play. I like how you slowly increase the difficulty! Had a lot of fun playing and evading the chef. Very well done for your first entry. This is a great achievement! zubspace-flippy-fish-highscore.png
May 12 09:47:50 11m 48s Anti-Matter ♥ 1 Cool! Pong in a hexagonal setting! Nice idea. The game is not simple. I like, that you gradually restore your health or nucleus, but I would have maybe enjoyed it more, if the initial speed of the ball was slower. But still, good job!
May 12 19:25:57 9h 38m hype dream ♥ 2 Wonderful game! The color palette and art style really fits together. I like the relaxing music. And the whole OS thing is so nice to look at and actually feels kinda real :) Also thanks for the good tutorial, really helped a lot. Even easy mode made me build up some adrenaline, but it never felt unfair. Good stuff! Nice idea! Perfectly executed!
May 12 19:49:14 23m 17s Angst ♥ 1 There's a lot of things to like about this game: The art style, transitions, environmental sounds and the music are really well done. I really like the "Don't starve" vibes of the angst-world. I also grok the basic premise of the game: Analyzing and fighting your panic attacks. Unfortunately I could not progress after day 3. It told me to look for something on my desk, but there was nothing to interact with? Maybe I was just too dumb. Anyway, what I thought was kinda strange is that sometimes you get a very clear hint on what to do, like "drink some coffee". On the other hand I was sometimes running around completely unknown to me where to go or what to pick up and interact with. But maybe that was part of the game? However, I enjoyed most parts of it and think, that the level of detail is amazing for a jam. Good job!
