sorry it doesnt support my browser API

fireshake 2020-04-21 16:09

A fun little game with shooter Gameplay that remind me of Games from the 90s like Unreal Tournament. A wider FoV would be great and i noticed that normal ammo could spawn more often.

effarek 2020-04-21 16:27

I feel like enemies aren't really attacking Yoda, they're more focusing on me.

tpzombie 2020-04-21 17:32

That was fun! I liked the idea of the limited resources so you have to let yoda exposed to enemies while gather bullets.

Good job!

larsdu 2020-04-21 20:53

@beavergames Perhaps you could try (in Firefox): ``` Type this in the firefox searchbar about:config and search for security.fileuri.strict_origin_policy It is true by default, you can set it to false.```

larsdu 2020-04-21 20:54

@fireshake To get normal ammo, you need to collect at least 5 crystals and walk up to the plant. It will then spawn normal ammo.

You need normal ammo to survive this game as explosive ammo will kill yoda if the demons get too close.

rodrigo-denubila 2020-04-22 00:23

nice graphics! The game is fun but the animations are weird. I suggest you to use mixamo in your next game :)

abdurrahman-khallouf 2020-04-22 21:02

well obviously you are trying to do so much here. maybe if your programming was almost done. and you used your engine to make something new with a little bit of coding. you would have the time to do better. ( I mean your basic shooting, sound, controls are solid and build on top of that)

nice work for a jam game...

I couldn't resist but to kill yo-da at the end lol

larsdu 2020-04-23 00:03

@effarek if you're standing in between the monsters and yoda, they're more likely to attack you.

Maybe a bit big to only have a browser version, I think it might run better if you released a downloadable version

zubspace 2020-04-24 21:53

I'm impressed by the environment. The plant, castle, yoda and the enemies look really detailed. For such a short amount of time you can be really proud. The weapons and gameplay could use some more polish, but it's a good start!

masterkrepta 2020-04-25 01:43

Im impressed with how well you laid this level out. There is a lot of potential here.

emperor-eagle 2020-04-25 02:14

Quite a good FPS! I enjoyed playing it and really got into it after a while! I would advise writing some code that attracts pickups to you when you're nearby, and changing the camera angle (it felt a bit weird, maybe keep it at the default in Unity). Some more player feedback when you shoot and hit enemies would be good to increase game feel. The UI was intuitive and helpful, the level had a good layout, and the gameplay was fun! Well done!

stickle 2020-04-25 07:17

I really like the style and the simple design of the environment. I also thought the movement was quite smooth but the only big issue for me was the frame rate was a bit slow and some of the soundeffects are terrifyingly loud. Great game overall!

shugor 2020-04-25 13:40

good effort, nice game for 3 days, nicely on theme as well. the ai seem to prefer killing me to yoda, he got by just fine for the most part even when i went exploring the outer map. a wider fov would also be welcome. good work, got a decent fps going in such a short time frame!

drskort 2020-04-25 20:19

The game was pretty cool. I liked the game world especially with this castle. The models were pretty cool, too. The only problem is, that I ran out of ammo and couldn't find anymore outside the castle. So I decided to let yoda defend himself, because he was pretty good at taking care of himself and explored the mountains until I reached the end of the world and jumped down. Pretty cool game, but I think there should be a world limit and maybe some more ammo spawning ^^' But really cool design :)

nosfer 2020-04-25 20:25

Quite nice. Don't quite understand why the player FOV is so narrow also ammo is very scarce so I ended with no bullets fast :)

larsdu 2020-04-25 21:23

@nosfer @drskort feed the plant crystals for bullets as per instructions

barret 2020-04-26 03:10

so playing game on a laptop with a touchpad is probably not the best idea lol. at first I didn't realize the concept of not losing your ammo and I was like why do I keep dying, but then I got a grasp of it and I was able to last 2 minutes and 18 seconds before dying.

I actually felt like the enemies were going after me more than today, which I'm not sure if that was just b/c I was trying to shoot them so maybe I agro them.

Either way this game is pretty silly and provided some fun.

The main complaint I have is that it was to know I was actually losing HP without keeping a constant eye on my hp. It would of been nice to have some kind of visual feedback. If there was I didn't notice it.

larsdu 2020-04-26 07:29

@baret Thanks for taking a second look at the game! I'm tempted to go in and fix things like the absence of visual feedback on getting hit, but I feel like that would be breaking the rules. Also I'd probably be tempted to do a lot of other things (like building the original plant watering mechanics, making the castle more maze like, fixing the ai etc. All in all, doing all that would make the game lose the charm that comes out of being made on such a short timeline. I modeled a mech in blender, and I was super tempted to put it in the game, but I'm going to hold off on doing anything more like that!

n-feofentov 2020-05-04 17:44

It looks pretty bizarre at first but actually it has some interesting mechanics. I like the idea and intentions. I'm not sure if it is a bug or a feature but player can reflect projectiles by shooting at them and it was pretty fun to play with it. But despite I tried my best to make enemies shoot each other they didn't die from projectiles. And jump works properly only when player moves (can't jump standing). Nevertheless, good job!

nachodlv 2020-05-11 22:11

Nice game. My Yoda got stuck and the enemies stop attacking him but I had fun anyways. Good job!

xikuryas 2020-05-12 17:11

Really fun to play and overall intersting, it's true that enemy are more often focusing you than Yoda, but i don't mind. That makes Yoda feel more like a children wondering and having trouble than a dead weight breaking your fun. I kinda like that shooting enemy projectiles can deviate them.
