Apr 19 21:01:02 Hommel ♥ 2 I absolutely love the art style you used for this! It's got a wonderful look and feel ✩✩
Apr 21 02:07:46 29h 06m delivery_birb Has Logged On ♥ 1 I love it! the art is wonderful and the story is adorable - you did an excellent job! ☆☆☆☆☆ I love the way the packages move when you go back, and the bird is super cute
Apr 21 02:11:34 3m 48s Faire L'Amour aux Plantes ♥ 1 A really cute art style for this!!☆
Apr 21 02:17:58 6m 24s DOC+ORS ♥ 1 The interface and menu were very well done! I also love the art direction you chose for this. The gameplay certainly was very stressful, but it gave the game a lot of challenge! Excellent work! ☆
Apr 21 02:35:04 17m 06s My Mother is a Caravan? ♥ 6 Amazing work! The art was beautiful, the gameplay was fun, and the premise was adorable! I found the gameplay challenging, which certainly wasn't a bad thing, and I had the same issue with traders that many others had. I had one other issue of an enemy knocking me back out of the screen to the point where I couldn't get back, and I found the wagon sound effect a bit loud the first time I picked it up, but I otherwise had a great time playing it - enough to do so a few times! ☆☆☆☆☆ Very polished for the time limit. Looking forward to seeing what else you all get up to!
Apr 21 02:41:35 6m 31s Capybaba ♥ 2 A cute game! The concept was certainly amusing, and the aesthetics were cohesive overall! I found the platforming a little difficult, and didn't end up getting too far in, but I enjoyed it! Looking forward to seeing future projects!
Apr 21 02:58:51 17m 16s Save The President ♥ 2 The humour for this game was wonderful, the art style was charming, and the music was enjoyable (if a little repetitive for how long I played, but still fun). The puzzles were slightly challenging - not too hard and not too easy for a delivery like this! I had a lot of fun with it! ☆ ⭒ ☆ ⭒ ☆ ⭒ ☆
Apr 21 03:09:21 10m 30s Egg's Dream ♥ 2 A really cute style! I loved all of the modelling - I agree that with the inability to move at all during jumps they can be particularly difficult. After several attempts I wasn't able to get onto the upper platform. :( still, you did a lot of great work with this!! ~✧
Apr 21 03:19:25 10m 04s The Soulkeeper ♥ 1 I really love the graphics and art direction you went with for this! All of the art is super cute - I loved the title screen and the skull in the top left. I had a lot of difficulty getting the possession mechanic to work, but the rest of the gameplay was fine without it!
Apr 21 04:15:42 56m 17s Dream Hoppers ♥ 4 Got a max score of 3231! A very simple game, but enjoyable, and the visuals were positively beautiful!
Apr 21 04:24:28 8m 46s AmbiSphere ♥ 1 A smooth and satifying game! I absolutely loved the animation of the center device - it really gave a nice polish. ✩
Apr 21 06:34:32 2h 10m Fleur Defense ♥ 7 The work on this is positively astounding! The music is smooth and appealing, and the art is a joy to look at - all of the animations are beautiful! who can be mad at bugs destroying your tree when the animation for its death are that nice? At first I wasnt certain what the watering can was for - I spent a fair bit of time wondering if they gave health back to trees damaged by bugs. This is likely because I'm a hoarder and didn't buy many of the smaller plants from the shop, so that is mostly on me. I also felt like the time before the first wave was quite long, but this could again be because I didn't buy much from the shop. Lastly, I wasn't certain if the side entrances were entrances for bugs, or teleports to the opposite side a la pacman style for the bugs! Some variety of indicator during wave prep time of where bugs are coming from may be nice if they are multiple entrances. All in all, excellent work! I'm frankly floored that you set this all up in 72 hours, and I'm excited to see the future projects your group makes!!
Apr 21 16:29:29 9h 54m the Isle ♥ 1 An extremely interesting storytelling game! The fire was beautiful, the graphics were smooth, and all of the animations were simple, but extremely polished. I loved the pixels from the smoke, and the journal in the back was a good means of helping players keep track of progress - I know i certainly felt a need to get all of the entries, lmao. I did find there were sometimes where i found I was in a loop of exposition and couldn't find the way to the next major storytelling section, but overall the text skips were enough to get that part over with relatively quickly and painlessly. Likewise the walking was extremely slow, though in a game where it's certainly not the main mechanic, it did follow the pace of the atmosphere well. Finally, the lore of this island is extremely interesting, and this did give me a craving to see where the plot would go, so - kudos on that!
Apr 21 19:07:30 2h 38m Both or Nothing ♥ 1 The atmosphere to this game was excellent! The art was clear, appealing, and gave off a great vibe for the type of strategy you set up. I agree that the options were relatively simple, but I still felt satisfaction whenever I put something into the fire that gave off a good smell, even knowing that the main concern was starvation. The title screen and setup give it a nice, polished feel, and while I can see definite room for adding more challenge and difficulty, it felt complete in its own right! Great work!
Apr 21 19:32:30 25m 00s Ice Light ♥ 3 The graphics for this are absolutely amazing! It's been mentioned a dozen times before, but the atmosphere for this is wonderfully cohesive - the sounds, the colour palette, and the pixel work all flow amazingly. The glow is beautiful! The gameplay is enjoyable, and the puzzles were appropriately challenging! The throw indicator was also nice, and i enjoyed the little touches that made the game feel more polished, like how the jar could land both on its side and on its bottom. While I did enjoy the gameplay a fair bit, I found most of the jumps pretty punishing in gap - I fell into the first hole easily five or six times, and while the reset time was quick enough that it wasn't too frustrating, I certainly feel as though the first few jumps in the game could do to be a little shorter to make ease the player in! I also personally ended up not being able to complete the puzzle after the second checkpoint - while I felt like I had an idea of what I was supposed to do, I was struggling to either make the throw up and over the blocks above onto the button or maneouvre through the dark to get up to the second button without the firefly - this could just be an issue of how I was understanding the puzzle, but after about ten attempts, I couldn't get past this point. :( That said, I still absolutely adore the look and feel of this game! It could have easily been presented to me as a game that had taken months in development, and I would have believed it on look and feel alone. You've done an excellent job! This type of atmospheric game also feels as though it could benefit from some brief interaction functions with the environment - I spent a fair bit at the beginning just trying to see if I could interact with the other person in the cave and see if they were sleeping or dead. Overall, I love what you've done here, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you two make in the future! ~✧
Apr 21 19:43:31 11m 01s Bones 'n Roll ♥ 4 An adorable game! The sound track was fun, and the overall gameplay was extremely smooth! I love the art style. c: I did find that i died quite a bit in the tutorial, and having an option to click through and restart instead of just needing to wait through the loss screen to get sent back would have been nice! I also appreciate that there was a tutorial at all though, given it was done for a game jam, so kudos on that! The sounds for doing repeated tricks in the air was extremely satisfying - doing the jumps was definitely my favourite part of the game. I also agree that the stopping in tutorial for message display was a little jarring - perhaps just longer streaks of empty road before the obstacle to give the player time to read while still moving? I also had an issue where when I died I could continue to control the character for a bit after, resulting in repeated death animations and audio. Overall, i love the vibe and the main character is a ton of fun to look at! ~✧✧
Apr 21 20:57:41 1h 14m The Weeny's Quest ♥ 5 Very cute! I loved the atmosphere, and the visuals of it were easily charming enough to draw me in - the monster is excellent, and weeny is adorable! I think I got the version where level 2 was impassable, but i enjoyed all the other levels besides - there was a noticeable difficulty spike, but not to the point where the difficulty got impeccably frustrating! A proper challenge between keeping a close eye on my ghost and the monster haunting it! Gotta love when the weenie willingly walks into death because it's between it and the much desired candy, lmao. I would love to see a bar of some variety indicating how far along the trap bar is to recovering - there were certainly a few tense moments in there where i was out of traps, but with no indication about how long I had to go. The musical score for it was nice and very fitting! You all did a wonderful job!✧
Apr 21 21:49:13 51m 32s hype dream ♥ 2 What a charming game and a unique concept! The music was wonderful for developing the vibe, and the colour palette was surprisingly soft for such a stressful time management game - i certainly felt nervous at first with the depth of the tutorial, and I'm not sure if there are still some things I was missing when I was actually playing, but the gameplay was quite smooth once I got into it! Typing back the emails was positively adorable - I loved the feedback from them. An excellent entry!
Apr 21 21:57:41 8m 28s Healing Quest ♥ 2 A nice game! The idea of being a healer combined with the 'keep it alive' theme is very on brand for the experience - i loved the concept of this, and the pixel art was well done!
Apr 22 22:07:41 24h 10m The Sapling Sage ♥ 2 A fun game! I agree with Amazura that there could definitely do to be worked in some mini-maps, enemy indicators or some of the likes - it took me quite a few playthroughs to actually understand what was going on and where I should be. Additionally, it would be really nice to have some kind of indicator as to when the tree was taking damage! There were a few times I just completely had no idea where things were coming from, wandered off in the wrong direction and lost. That said, once I did figure out how to play, I found it enjoyable enough to try quite a few times - now as we speak, I have every base so heavily camped I don't think I'll be seeing another monster for the next century, lmao. Next steps for this could definitely be something along the lines of an end game purchase/game complete for getting to this phase - there's nothing left for me to do, but I feel bad just closing it out without some kind of final message! Great work!
