LD53 — Delivery

Packages, Please by Daveybb 2023-05-10T22:42:44Z

I've really enjoyed the experience! The character customization is a fantastic addition that makes it feel more personal. I must admit, the game has a compelling challenge to it. I'm still figuring out the rhythm to get past the initial days. It's quite intriguing how similar your idea is to other entries, which goes to show the universal appeal of the concept. Maybe adding a bit more animation to the pixel characters would bring some extra charm. And I must say, I love the Papers Please vibe. Keep up the great work!

K9 Express by Skleembof 2023-05-10T23:20:11Z

A fascinating concept indeed! The game has a certain charm with its quirky dog and expansive map. Despite some issues with the camera and controls, I think there's a lot of potential here. The speed boosts were quite tricky to handle, but with some tweaks, it could add a thrilling aspect to the game. The PS1/N64 aesthetic was a nice touch, and I must commend the team for the dog animation - it was quite delightful! I agree with some of the feedback about possibly having fewer packages for delivery, as the current amount felt a bit overwhelming. Maybe incorporating some variety in the gameplay, such as different types of deliveries or obstacles, could keep the gameplay engaging. Overall, I see a lot of promise here, and I'm excited to see how this game evolves in the future. Keep up the great work!

Fast Fruits by Dreamerflow 2023-05-10T19:49:42Z

Really enjoyed the concept of this game and believe it has a lot of potential. I think the fruit-shooting mechanic could be a bit more intuitive and perhaps allowing players to choose the fruit they want to shoot. Definitely, the use of hints would be a great addition, especially to help progress to the next level. As for gameplay, an idea could be to implement more precise direction control to give players the feeling that they are really influencing the outcome of the game. Overall, I found the experience fun and am looking forward to seeing how this game evolves!

Pyrospectra by Danyclockworker 2023-05-10T23:27:26Z

I've had a blast playing this game, the pace is exhilarating, and the Greek theme adds a unique charm. The art and music harmoniously blend together to create an engaging atmosphere. However, I share the sentiment with others about the speed of the game, it indeed makes dodging fireballs a Herculean task. Perhaps, a more responsive control system or a slightly slower pace would balance the difficulty. Also, a more detailed tutorial could help clarify the health system and the purpose of the green orbs. It's noticeable that the player character is centered, which limits the reaction time - having it offset to the left might be an improvement. Despite these points, the game has a substantial potential and I'm eager to see how it will evolve in future updates. Keep up the good work!

The 50 Deliveries by Alexsandro 2023-05-10T23:15:34Z

Really enjoyed this game, the music and ambiance definitely give it a spooky vibe, it felt like I was delivering packages in a haunted neighborhood! I do agree with some of the previous comments regarding the jumping mechanic, it does seem a bit off and could use some refining for a smoother gameplay experience. I also found the difficulty level to be challenging due to the dark environment and small arrows, which is a nice touch for experienced gamers but might be a bit tough for newcomers. Kudos on adding the character customization, it's a great feature that adds an extra level of engagement. Overall, a great game with a unique twist on the delivery theme. Keep up the good work and looking forward to future updates!

deliver me from X by konfekt 2023-05-10T23:32:35Z

Wow, what a ride! I was completely immersed in the intense story and the atmospheric audio really elevated the experience - especially that unnerving heartbeat sound. The hand-drawn art style was an impressive touch and really complemented the narrative. It did feel like the game was more of a journey than an interactive experience though, I would have loved a bit more control or influence over the events. Also, the text seemed to appear a tad slow, maybe it could be sped up a touch? Regardless, this game was a breath of fresh air in the midst of all the typical jam entries. The grim atmosphere was unexpected but absolutely captivating. Great job!

Cyberdelivery by DarchanKaen 2023-05-11T03:05:17Z

I appreciate the concept and it's remarkable how much content was generated for a single jam. The narrative was succinct yet comprehensive. Your approach to the theme was commendable.

However, just sharing my perspective, I managed to anticipate the plot direction quite early. While the four flashbacks served as a buildup towards the conclusion, I personally would have appreciated a deeper exploration of the main characters. This is merely my viewpoint, feel free to consider or disregard as you see fit. Good job overall!

LD54 — Limited Space

Ship in a Bubble by Moebius 2023-10-04T19:45:20Z

Hey, just played 'Ship in a Bubble' by Moebius. The contracting bubble mechanic is a neat twist on the shoot-em-up genre. I love how you can upgrade the ship with dropped modules, but sometimes the randomness can be tricky. Some players mentioned the challenge of dodging without strafing—might be worth considering. The visuals, especially the bubble effect, look sleek. The bouncing bullets and power-ups add depth. A fun play with a fresh approach to the genre!

Alien Abduction Adventures and Astral Anomalies Abound by Flaterectomy 2023-10-05T00:14:28Z

Diving into the vastness of space in "Alien Abduction Adventures and Astral Anomalies Abound" was truly captivating! Flying the UFO and managing abductions felt refreshingly unique. The twist with the whales and the in-depth systems, like jettisoning and compacting abductees, added depth. The solo effort is commendable, especially the music that set an eerie tone. Can't wait to explore more galaxies and discover more anomalies! Stellar work. 🌌🛸

Swear Jar by Steffo 2023-10-04T20:32:43Z

Hey, I just checked out 'Swear Jar'. I love the gyroscopic twist on the incremental game genre! Filling the jar with coins and buying upgrades felt rewarding. The post-jam tweaks show dedication. The idea of crafting a Holy Crown or finding diamonds is intriguing. A bit of clarity on some mechanics could help, but overall, it's a solid and fun game. Great job!

Paul Klee, Rich Harbour by Subsage 2023-10-04T19:50:16Z

Just gave 'Paul Klee, Rich Harbour' by Subsage and haid a go. Brilliant twist on the classic snake mechanic with the color matching. It's almost meditative at times, but there's depth in the challenge, especially with planning ahead for color walls. However, adding a game over or high score screen could elevate player experience. The music by haid sets the mood perfectly. Would be interesting to know how the collision was handled using line renderers. All in all, a unique and engaging play. Well done!

Rover Under by ColeSlaughter 2023-10-07T04:30:39Z

Really enjoyed the vibrant art style and the challenge it presented! The keyboard cuboids concept is unique and ties in well with the theme. Navigating the rover was an intriguing aspect and the music complemented the whole experience. Great work on this!

Package Express by SpicyMarcus 2023-10-05T01:26:36Z

I had a lot of fun playing 'Package Express'! The feeling of rushing to deliver orders to the conveyor belt and the need to quickly decide where to place each package make the game engaging. The ability to rotate packages adds an extra layer of strategy. I loved the minimalist design and the colors used. If I had a suggestion it would be to maybe introduce more challenges or levels as you go. Great job and I hope to see more of your games in the future!

SPACE: Spaceship Pilot - Asteroid Collision Escape by Xwilarg 2023-10-05T00:44:31Z

I'm truly immersed in this asteroid-filled space adventure! The card-based system adds a unique twist to spaceship management. The unexpected cat gifs brought some delightful surprises. The challenge to beat the high score is enticing. I also appreciate the humor and hints in the game's description. Keep up the great work!

Floppy Drive Lemonade Stand by Jayjader 2023-10-05T00:23:45Z

Love the fusion of nostalgia with entrepreneurial hustle. UI-based games always feel unique, and the challenge of pricing and selling floppy files adds depth. However, found it tricky estimating costs and profits, perhaps a tutorial or clearer instructions might help? Noticed an absence of audio too. Still, the game exudes a charming atmosphere reminiscent of the old days. Kudos for a job well done!

Work Until You're Undead by Diego Escalante 2023-10-05T00:11:38Z

Absolutely loved the atmosphere in "Work Until You're Undead". The flashlight system stands out, creating genuine tension. The zombies, combined with stellar voice acting, gave me some chills. Sound design is definitely a highlight. Impressive work by the team! 👏

Shootout! at High Noon by TheFoppian 2023-10-04T19:58:05Z

Stepped into the wild west with 'Shootout! at High Noon' by ansaws and TheFoppian. It's a delightful blend of humor, quirky art, and classic western themes. The stickman art style is simplistic yet effective, giving the game a unique charm. I appreciate the humor sprinkled throughout, evident in both the narrative and gameplay elements. It's evident that the game draws inspiration from classic westerns and the comedic 'West of Loathing'. A small suggestion: providing clearer player feedback, like sound effects or visual cues when hit, could enhance the gameplay experience. Overall, a fun and engaging game that offers both humor and challenge. Yeehaw!

The ECRU Experience by Dock Frankenstein 2023-10-04T20:46:27Z

Just played 'The ECRU Experience' and I was intrigued by its minimalist design and looping rooms. It definitely prompts curiosity and makes one think. The idea of repeating the same room but with minor changes kept me engaged. Great use of a simple concept to create an engaging experience!

Cubicular Discerner by Foursay 2023-10-04T19:42:48Z

Hey, I checked out 'Cubicular Discerner'! Loved the minimalist design and the emphasis on audio; it adds so much depth. The weight-based puzzles are a cool concept, though some found the physics a bit off. There's some commentary on work culture that's pretty intriguing. The dev seems super responsive to feedback. Definitely worth a look if you're into immersive puzzle games!

Hole in the Well by DecadeDecaf 2023-10-05T00:16:55Z

Hey, I checked out 'Hole in the Well' – really unique! Playing as a genie navigating moral choices is super fresh. The voice acting is on point, especially for a game made in 48 hours. I see some 'Papers, Please' vibes with the moral decisions. Impressive work for a Ludum Dare jam!

RoboRage by Kr4sh3 2023-10-05T01:20:02Z

I really liked the retro style of RoboRage! The upgrade mechanic had a special touch, but I felt that the grinding part could be a little too much at times. Even so, the sound and dynamics of the game are top notch. Congratulations on the work!

Private 621 by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2023-10-04T19:24:52Z

Hey there, played "Private 621" and I'm truly impressed! Love the unique urgency of being the 621st toy. Gameplay's smooth with minor hiccups, but overall a solid experience. The weapon variety kept things exciting. For a jam game, it's a standout. Can't wait to see more from you!

Sowscraper by Teto 2023-10-04T19:16:03Z

I really liked the game's unique approach, combining a puzzle with a deep narrative in a limited space environment. The mechanics of decisions that affect the outcome and the pressure of quotas made the experience engaging. The graphic work is lovely and the subtle inclusion of the Godot logo was a creative touch. Congratulations on your excellent team collaboration!

Running Low, In Space by Enad96 2023-10-05T01:30:44Z

I played 'Running Low, In Space' and really enjoyed the gameplay! The concept of managing your resources as you build and navigate is a really good challenge. The idea of collecting blocks to turn into fuel, ammo and shields is clever and requires the player to think strategically about their actions. The graphics are colorful and pleasing, and ship control gives a sense of authenticity to the movement in space. One suggestion would be to perhaps simplify or enhance the user interface a bit more to make certain elements more intuitive. Overall, it was an engaging gaming experience. Congratulations to the team!

Grey Eminence by alisher_fazilov 2023-10-05T01:25:22Z

The apocalyptic theme combined with the need to choose experts to survive is intriguing! I found the interface simple and straightforward, allowing the player to focus on crucial decisions. I also liked the use of sounds, adding a sense of urgency to the situation. It would be interesting to see more variety or additional challenges in future versions. Great job!

Waylight by Javid Ladhani 2023-10-05T01:57:06Z

The atmosphere of Waylight truly captured me. The haunted locomotive concept was both unique and chilling. The tension from keeping the lights on and fending off dark creatures was palpable. The audio set an eerie mood, making every moment thrilling.

Legends of Lore by siberpunk01 2023-10-05T00:18:30Z

Hey, just played 'Legends of Lore' and it's a blast! The shrinking level mechanic kept things intense and made each fight feel crucial. Love the homage to old-school graphics and the 2-player dynamic is a solid choice. The soundtrack is a killer touch. This game would shine even brighter with a CPU opponent for solo play. Awesome effort!

Traffic Chaos by Skylife 2023-10-05T01:06:09Z

Really enjoyed the game's concept! Managing the traffic gets intense as you go, making for a fun challenge. The light change colors add an extra layer of depth to the gameplay. It's tough but rewarding once you get the hang of it. A few more levels or challenges would take this even further. Great job!

Contact Range by QueenOfSquiggles 2023-10-04T20:51:24Z

Absolutely loved "Contact Range"! The mix of 2D and 3D art styles is truly unique, giving the game a standout identity. The narrative, combined with the space exploration theme, was engaging. Using tools like Godot and Krita, the developer crafted a captivating experience. I did notice a "Dialogic Error", but overall, it's a fantastic piece of work. Kudos to QueenOfSquiggles! 🚀👾🎮

Debugged by Back2Zero 2023-10-05T01:10:09Z

I'm quite fascinated by the concept of battling viruses in such a confined space. It's intriguing how the game balances the challenge of limited movement with strategic play. The visuals do an excellent job conveying the 'behind-the-scenes' theme, and it's impressive how well everything works in a minimalist window. Would love to see some quality-of-life improvements like a clearer ammo indicator or smoother aiming. Overall, great job on presenting a challenging yet enjoyable experience!

Bitter Retirement by Chaineddreamer 2023-10-04T19:21:03Z

The idea of the game is fun and different, I love the idea of being the "villain" and polluting the ocean. The mechanics are simple but effective, especially when the angels start to appear. It would have been great to have audio to complete the experience. I quickly learned that I could just push the boxes, making it a little easier. It would be cool to have a counter of how many boxes were thrown into the ocean or some kind of score. Anyway, for your first jam, you did a great job. I can't wait to see more of your games in the future!

Bimbi's Cosmo Party by Frib 2023-10-05T01:40:27Z

Oh, and the Warhammer reference was a nice touch!

BBD-MK0 by Syntaxxor 2023-10-05T02:22:09Z

Hey, I checked out "Disk Defense" and it's quite a hit! I loved the humor, especially those Windows notifications. The music and abilities really stood out. Some challenges with the laser's speed and a few bugs, but overall, it's engaging. Maybe consider a controls tutorial for newbies and address those shop upgrade issues. Great job, though!

Turbo Tumble by bad_fetus 2023-10-05T02:19:01Z

I just played 'Turbo Tumble' and found it quite challenging having to avoid your own trail as the track gets tighter and tighter. I liked the concept! The shortcuts in the levels are a good idea, but I confess that it took me a few tries to get the hang of it. The retro vibe reminded me of classic racing games. Congratulations on the work in such a short time!

Golden R.O.B by MinMag_LP 2023-10-05T00:53:28Z

The concept of playing as R.O.B., a gold mining robot, is intriguing, blending traditional platforming with the unique twist of using Memory Chips to grant different abilities. This mechanic of limited space for inserting cards and choosing abilities is an innovative touch, adding layers of strategy to the gameplay. Although the game offers a compelling idea, there seem to be areas for improvement, such as refining certain physics aspects and making the jumping mechanic more fluid. Overall, 'Golden R.O.B.' is a promising game that showcases a lot of potentials, and I'm excited to see how it can evolve with more development!

Mound of Flesh by CosmogonicFrog 2023-10-05T01:04:33Z

Inventory Manager by GaryNinja 2023-10-05T01:08:22Z

I'm impressed by your determination for a first-time jam. The inventory concept is intriguing, and while there's room for growth, it's a solid start. Understanding the game's mechanics took a bit, but it's a testament to the potential here. I can see how further development could make this a unique puzzle experience. Keep refining and expanding on this idea!

Inventory Manager by GaryNinja 2023-10-05T01:23:10Z

Interesting approach to the theme of limited space! The feeling of trying to optimize inventory brought a unique challenge to the game. At times, I felt like there could be a little more guidance on how certain mechanisms work, but after some testing, I managed to get the hang of it. I was curious to see how you would expand on this concept in future updates. Keep it up!

Space LTD by Charlotte adams 2023-10-05T00:22:33Z

Loved the astronaut design and overall concept. Graphics felt intensive; maybe consider optimization? The gun and camera controls were a bit unorthodox, making gameplay slightly confusing. Also, noticed an absence of sound. Despite a few bugs, the game's vibe and core mechanics are promising. Great effort for a jam project!

The Knight Bus by pascalbros 2023-10-04T19:53:40Z

Just took a spin with 'The Knight Bus' by andreasc26 and pascalbros. A magical ride indeed! The game effortlessly captures the charm of the iconic Knight Bus, coupled with a fun endless runner mechanic. The shrinking feature is a delightful touch, making it not only about dodging but also about strategic use of magic. I do feel the controls can be fine-tuned a bit for smoother gameplay. And while the game is incredibly fun, an escalating difficulty could make it even more thrilling. The audio effects, particularly when the bus shrinks, and the accompanying music enhance the overall experience. A true ode to the Wizarding World! Fantastic work.

Took a swing at 'Gros épée' by Vhalenn, Shirese, and Courgette. What a delightful experience! The game beautifully integrates the concept of 'LIMITED SPACE' with a hilariously oversized sword. I enjoyed the clear objective and the additional challenge of not destroying the forests. The visuals are charming with the protagonist navigating through the vibrant forest, trying to gather mushrooms while wielding that comically large sword. Controls are intuitive, and the feedback from the community showcases the appeal and polish of the game. It’s evident that a lot of effort went into both gameplay mechanics and the aesthetic. Keep up the great work, team Petite Crème!

Poste Limited Space Edition by Flife58 2023-10-05T00:48:53Z

Engaging concept of being a postal worker in a limited space! It took me a moment to get the hang of the controls, but once I did, it was quite addictive. Overall, this has a lot of potential for expansion and refinement. Good job!

Small Fish Smaller Tank by Peter Niles 2023-10-05T00:36:14Z

The arcade vibe is nostalgic! The challenge of dodging both big and small fish kept me on edge. A small suggestion: perhaps the smaller fish can be edible during certain power-ups? It would add another layer of strategy. Also, a touch of ambient music would elevate the experience. But overall, it's a fun play with a great theme. Awesome work!

Escape the maze by bayunyoubi 2023-10-05T00:50:43Z

An interesting take on the maze escape concept with the added challenge of managing doors against the monster's movements. The gameplay is immersive, and the AI of the monster added a layer of tension that kept me engaged. However, tweaking the aggression level of the AI might make the game feel more balanced. The inclusion of intuitive mechanics would further enhance the player's experience. Overall, this is a promising game with room for further development

The beeper Man by FanNevada 2023-10-05T01:27:45Z

I played 'The beeper Man' and I thought the idea was super original! The feeling of being trapped and communicating only with a code is very immersive. The aspect of trying to remember the codes makes the game a challenge, but at the same time it makes you feel the pressure of the character. The only thing I would suggest is perhaps having a more accessible code guide, or some kind of tip, especially for those moments where we get really lost. Overall, a game with a unique concept and very well executed . Congratulations!

The Acolyte's Handbook by ditam 2024-04-20T06:24:08Z

Nice game, though navigation could become tedious with more entries. The art is simple and fitting, though the book could use a bit of texturing. Enjoyed playing it—good job!

Interesting game, I liked the idea of clicking to perform the ritual, but I think there could be a different mini-game for each element of the ritual. Anyway, congratulations on your work, the result was fun.

The Joshening by Pulni 2024-04-17T07:40:14Z

I liked the idea of being able to summon creatures. It might be cool to start with the ability to summon only a few creatures and then be able to summon more as you progress.

Honse by rickylee 2024-04-20T06:08:05Z

Satisfying mini-games, really cool – you can tell there was a lot of effort put into the art too, congrats on the outcome. A tip for improvement would be the camera control.

Mobius by Jerem Watts 2024-04-20T05:55:50Z

Dig the serious undertones and how they play against the stark scenes – it’s like each step’s got weight. Could use a hint system for the steep learning curve, but tackling tough topics? Respect. 👊
