That was a trip... and I really liked it. Simple and honest but very weird in a good way. Nice job, keep it up!

t would be nice if you left the instructional text visible for a longer period of time to make it easier to read. But other than that, nice job
It was interesting! It would be really cool to integrate the plot into the visual (I'm writing about the village), because otherwise it is a trip :) (as mentioned above). Mechanic with crows looks cool, but unfinished. It could be awsome to make it deeper. Also you can make that some stones drop from shadow mans, but if you kill them, it impacts on something. So you should decide, go the easy way and kill everyone, or the difficult, but more peaceful one. Nice work, keep it up!
Loved that the crows had collision with the player, it was fun to push them around lol. I thought the player animations were very smooth as well. Nice short and sweet collect-a-thon. Good work!
It's a very clean and uncomplicated game, I liked it.
The art and aesthetic was nice, I would've preferred a more weighty jump which may have made the controller feel better to play but that's a personal preference. Overall nicely done.
Adorei a estética, parabens pelo resultado.
I like it. Interesting concept
I was into it. Summoning swarms of bats out of your mouth was extremely satisfying, I didn't quite understand why we had to be on p-blocks to do it but hey, it was still cool! The SFX were suitably eerie and the color scheme was pleasantly weird too.
The height you get from the jump was almost too generous considering you get two, a lower jump would allow players to travel less floatily if they wanted to, which would be nice. Needed another level or two, seeing how much effort went into the game systems, we want to stretch our legs with the interesting kit you've provided.
Very good game, I really like the mechanics and gameplay and the graphics are stylized very well, I always liked the flat style, it makes everything look better.
I absolutely loved the aesthetics of this. The music was a delight and all the assets blended really well together. It controlled pretty smoothly and I never felt like it was unfair. Just a simple little collectathon romp! Also I didn't know you had to double jump so I died once at the beginning, and not gonna lie, the death message made me snort.
I think the main things that I could critique on are that the audio could layer up pretty intensely when using summoning and grate on the ears a bit. The use of the summoning mechanic on the enemy is pretty limited, but I see the potential for a great puzzle platformer using the summoned bats like killer lemmings that you have to set up paths for. Good job!
Cool cross between summoning things to attack and platforming, I personally thought the character felt too heavy and was awkward to control when jumping around platforms. The bat summoning is a bit funny but felt kind of forced in, since the main objective was collecting those 7 stones. I also didn't really understand why it said episode 6?
I think the game looks and sounds pretty good, just some more polish on the gameplay and adding more to do would be great additions. Nice job!
The game should tell the player they can jump twice right from the start, but not after they read it in the desctiption and managed their firs jump.
The green skin and the cool circle of invocation are a charming touch, and the platformer works really well. I do think the sound of summoning the bats is a bit loud, but overall it is a nice game. Well done!
I enjoy the music very much, it's relaxing and make the atomsphere more casual. The level design is simple but effective, collecting 7 stones is not hard but also may make you come back one or more times.Oh, I forget to praise the summoning operation, it becomes one kind of pressure release point of the game progress, it allow you to summoning bat continuely and infinitely, which is very cool. Good game. Snipaste_2024-04-18_21-14-48.png
The process is a little short. Expect more levels.
Good Job.
Great job on a fun little platformer! I like the cute bat mechanic! Good job on the art styling and music.
I like the bat mechanics, it's a good game. Good job!
Cool concept, andthe art is simple but it fits very well with the mood!
Fun platformer. It was a bit inconvenient to press P with my other hand, perhaps the C key or another one closer to the left hand would have been more convenient. Cool game!
Pretty fun game :D Great work!
Adding collision with the summons was a nice touch!
Pressing P to spawn the bats was a weird choice. Other than that nice little finished platformer game. I also liked the walking animation of the character.
Interesting game! Thanks for submitting to the stream, here's the VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2124124723
nice little platformer! The music was very cool and mysterious. Would love to see how future levels would look with the crow mechanic
Fun little game.
Nice game :) I wasn't quite sure how to control which direction the bats are spawned in, so sometimes I couldn't kill the monsters because they'd fly off in the other direction lol. I did get to the end by finding a way around them, so maybe that was intentional? I liked the concept of spawning mechanic though and think you could definitely play around with it a little more!
Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to watch it again in the future heres the vod of the stream (with a chapter for your game)

Nice try, good for first game)
@ategon That would be awesome! Thank you so much, my friend!
Short but sweet! I absolutely ADORED the music. You did some great work all by yourself in one weekend <3
nice game, cute graphics
I really liked text backgrounds graphics :-).
Great length and challenge level for a game jam. Nice work!
Good entry, and fun to play and all the platforming and level design works together. One thing is that I would "soften" the summoning circle noise, it sounds a little like I shouldn't have been standing on it (based on sound convention etc).
I like the artstyle and the design of the rune. The effect of the crows was also satisfying.
When it comes to the gameplay, it was nice to such a game with smooth control. There was some small problems about horizontal collision but it doesn't matter. I like the mechanics that you can still jump twice after falling off a platform, which felt like a coyote jump.
Nice entry for you first jam! Well done!

The crows were way too OP. Please DO NOT fix this.
Great music, best I've heard this jam, I think. Overall a pretty bare-bones experience, would be nice if it weren't so floaty and difficult to control - a little more friction would be nice I think. Well done!
Fun little game ! The level design could have been more complex, but for the time given during the jam, it is really enjoyable ! Continue to make game !
Cool point with platform on which you can summon. Interesting theme implementation!
Nice little platformer! It fit well with the theme, and the art and music were pretty good as well. Nice job!
It already has all the elements of a complete game and a start menu, even though it is a Jam work. Very good!

Great! The games you recommended are all so fun, which gave me a happy vacation! Thank you again.
Heya! It's me again!
Had fun playing your game, I can see big improvements compared to your previous one! :)
Well done!

Here are a few things I've noticed while playing.
Maybe this should be displayed on the first platform, not the second, as to get there you have to *double jump*, therefore you probably know that already :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
The crow-swarm-summoning animation is really really cool and satisfying! I'm not sure why the crows sometimes go in the wrong direction, though.
