This was cute, I love the interactions with the gunslingers. When fighting Texas Red I was just met with a blank area, only the player and nothing else, so I couldn't progress :(
I like the idea of having to count your bullets (9) before reloading, some visual/audio feedback on when you're empty and when you're reloading would go a long way though.
So cool!
Hey @fredspipa, that issue should be fixed if you want to give it another go. Try the itch.io version, as it looks like the LD version takes a minute to update. We're working on getting those sound effects added before the deadline, thanks for your feedback!
The Music is great, graphism are cool but to be fair the gameplay isn't very fun. But congrats submitting it's quite an achievement on it's own.

I like the storytelling, I also like that you went through the effort of adding a skip dialogue button for the repeat lines! As fun as the dialogue is of course. The visuals are deceptively simple, obviously they're stickmen but it's a very consistent aesthetic and I think you executed it perfectly.
There's a small UX problem: both your hearts and ammo UI are up top, which are both very busy areas visually in the same colors and the area that you won't be looking at much when trying to aim for your enemy. I think if you moved them down next to the enemy it would be a lot clearer when you need to reload.
Lots to be proud of here, congrats on getting this much done in so little time!
@zlatking Thank you so much for your kind words and advice! If I'm being honest, the art was a product of not having our artists this time, so I (a programmer/sound guy) had to step in and scribble some art. I figured I could probably pull off something like this, but I was still half expecting to totally bomb. So, it's great to hear you say you liked the art!
"This town ain't big enough for the both of us" is a great take on Limited Space!
@donutshoes Thank you! We were worried nobody would notice that that was our take on the theme, because it's a little obtuse. That's the main reason every character repeats that line before their fight lol.
Great angle to take on the theme! The story/exposition parts were fun (although I did think this was a visual novel game for a bit), and the controls were straightforward. The graphics and sounds were exactly right for a jam game, and the amount of polish you were able to put into the other elements showed through.
Well done, team!

Good use of the theme. WOuld have loved a bit more variety for each level The music was great, the art was funny.
Well done, your graphics, text, and music are all very humorous and I had a great time!
cool stuff hope you learned more about gamedev
I had some fun! the art style is great! good ole ms paint!
I really like the art direction, but I think if I stay a little too long I start to hallucinate giant carriages driving over houses.
I dig the art, proving you do not need a crazy skill in making 3D assets to do something cool! My only "issue" with the game is the lack of player feedback (like when you get hit, you lose a hearth but there are no sound/shake or whatever telling it to you).

Simple gameplay and very easy but audio and graphics built a great whole. Thank you!
Stepped into the wild west with 'Shootout! at High Noon' by ansaws and TheFoppian. It's a delightful blend of humor, quirky art, and classic western themes. The stickman art style is simplistic yet effective, giving the game a unique charm. I appreciate the humor sprinkled throughout, evident in both the narrative and gameplay elements. It's evident that the game draws inspiration from classic westerns and the comedic 'West of Loathing'. A small suggestion: providing clearer player feedback, like sound effects or visual cues when hit, could enhance the gameplay experience. Overall, a fun and engaging game that offers both humor and challenge. Yeehaw!

Funny art style, the music is good, nice writting.
In my opinion, instant reload is too much, or it should take some time or this mechanics should be deleted, I guess. Or it was made for balance, 'cause enemies're shooting unstoppable)
Cozy little project.
Really like the theme and how you handled it. Great story flow with good audio on it. The game play felt little bland after the great start though and i would have liked it more dynamic and more audio effects for everything.

Funny art style!
Really liked how the game looked and played, and the humor was definitely the highlight. One note would be I feel like the playable character should have been at the bottom instead of the top, definitely thought that at first. Great entry!

I liked the gameplay and the art, but it felt like there should have been some sort of indicator when you hit an opponent. It didn't feel very satisfying to hit them.
This is really cute, the art style and theme is very well done. Simple gameplay but with enough enemy variety and short enough to not get boring. I wish it was easier to see the enemy and player at the same time, but maybe that's the point. It'd also be nice if spacebar wasn't the same button you use to shoot and go through text, I think I skipped some important plot-critical cutscenes by accident, which is a shame since the game's writing was so fun
This was pretty funny. Reminded me quite a bit of West of Loathing. Loved the dramatic stickman art. Every new antagonist made me crack a smile. The gameplay was really simple, but effective. A sound for reloading bullets would be nice. Good job on the entry! Sammy the Kid was my undoing.
