Shootout! at High Noon by TheFoppian 2023-10-02T23:49:54Z

I like the storytelling, I also like that you went through the effort of adding a skip dialogue button for the repeat lines! As fun as the dialogue is of course. The visuals are deceptively simple, obviously they're stickmen but it's a very consistent aesthetic and I think you executed it perfectly.

There's a small UX problem: both your hearts and ammo UI are up top, which are both very busy areas visually in the same colors and the area that you won't be looking at much when trying to aim for your enemy. I think if you moved them down next to the enemy it would be a lot clearer when you need to reload.

Lots to be proud of here, congrats on getting this much done in so little time!

Hank The Busdriver by Helen 2023-10-02T23:30:04Z

I love the way you make the kids move to the bus, it feels like Hank is in a zombie movie or something lmao. I do like the concept as well, it's simple and you even provide multiple ways to play. And of course the voice actor gave the performance of a lifetime with the doors opening and closing sounds.

Like Majo said there's no win or loss condition, which is a bit unfortunate as there's no stakes. Maybe after 3 mistakes you see a screen that says "Hank got fired" with the option to try again? Or after 20 turns without failing 3 times "Hank has retired after a long and successful career". I think it would instantly make the game feel a bit more complete.

Igor's big dream by Elmephisto 2023-10-02T23:18:22Z

Love the game, great writing, great concept, love how you used the theme here. It's really impressive how much you managed to do with the given time with just the two of you, full dialogue and sounds and cool coherent aesthetics in multiple environments? Plus the random sequencing of encounters combined with the progression of the story? Nuts.

I think the game is too punishing, as others mentioned some skill requirements can be high and the consequences of failing once can lead to a downward spiral where you lose everything, even if you chose correctly. To an extent this is always the case with RNG but here specifically it feels pretty unfair. Another small gripe is that you always have two options to choose between when going to a new location, even when that location and interaction is the same. I think in that case you can just make it one button in the middle.

Crime Critters (Rob the British Museum) by Pen Island Games 2023-10-02T22:56:09Z

This is such a great game, cool concept and well executed. Was a little confused at how you were supposed to leave but having them leave by getting into the truck is such a nice touch. Even the inventory management became fun with the physics-based dragging - which was oddly intuitive as well.

I'd say you should zoom out the camera a bit, having it average between players is fine but it shows you very little in the direction where your co-op partner is not, which can be annoying. I'm also really missing some sounds in this game, even any random royalty-free sfx would have done wonders for how this game feels. I'm also not entirely sure how alerting the cops works, it seems somewhat random/unrelated to my actions at times.

Overall though it's a great game with incredible art and tight game design, something to be proud of for sure!
