Fixed a bug where you could not transition to next level or the game wasnt lost. I did notice the money can not be seen sometimes depending on the screen resolution. I fyou make it full screen you can see the money and the health UI.
Simple funny game resembling a good days of playing Legion TD in warcraft. I didn't get how to use modificators for summons but still have beat the game. Good idea for summoning theme.

Nice looking hand drawn art. First I thought i have to defend then I understand my summons have cross the level. Its not clear how many creature i need to add in the shop screen to make the OK button to be active. One time I have 4 creatures 2 of them passed but I got game over. Then after that with only creature he passed it and i beat the level. I think this part is needed to be clear.

@human You can have as little or as many creatures recruited as you want. If you cant see the Sack of Gold in the top left try playing it in fullscreen, you will see it then. The gold counter represents total money you can spend on recruiting. I will leave better instructions on the Itch.io page. Thank you for playing my game.
Good concept of mechanics, I personally like tower defense games, even if this one is reverse I really like the idea, specially the one of building a "deck" for the game and the art is really interesting, I think it could be expanded if you got more time, great work!
Nice concept of reversed TD game

I like the idea a lot and I think it's a great take on the theme. Spamming monke just works wonders. Fun game, good job!

Cool reverse-td, you have the start of something cool, its a genre I really like seeing since I first saw it in the flash game Villainous years ago. It would be nice to have some more quality of life in the visuals, like tower ranges and tower stats; how am I meant to prepare to fight something if I don't know what it does? The creature balance seemed very off, I just spammed mad monkeys and had no problems. I cant see any reason to use any of the other creatures because they all have inferior stats from what I could tell. The text on the "creature queue" under the creature select was really hard to see, I had a bunch of mad monkeys but could barely read how many, perhaps move the number to underneath rather than overlaying the text on the image? Also removing anything didn't properly remove them visually from the queue until I added that creature again. The OK button which starts the wave is activated when you spend some money to make sure you have a creature when it goes, however if you remove all your creatures it doesnt turn back off, so you can add a creature -> remove a creature -> press ok and get soft-locked. Finally, I can see that you had intended to add modifier buttons, how would they work? If they apply to all of a creature, or if they are permanent upgrades, does that not encourage the player to just spam one creature and upgrade it a lot?

I have always wanted to play reverse-tds so thank you for providing me this experience! I really like the monsters, they have so much charisma and especially Copper Golem's animations are awesome. Great for a solo jam game ~

@hjmw You are correct on all of those points. SO many things i wanted to improve ro change the more i play tested, unfortunately ran out of time. Im hoping i get enough feed back like this to see if its worth continueing. I have always enjoyed Tower Defense games but there are not too many Revers Tower Defense games. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey ! Nice efforts on graphics. I also appreciate the game concept. However, the game really lacks sound for a proper atmosphere. Carry on

Reverse tower defence is what I've tried to create (not on LD), I like this idea. The main problem is that I cannot see the level before choosing units to spawn. So I just spawned gorillaz all the time, because they are fast, strong and armoured. I think this game could grow to real product. Good luck!

I liked the reversed mechanics of the taverdifens, and such sparkling art, it would be cool if there was some fancy music playing as well

Reverse tower defence!!! I didnt really understand the way the game worked through, I beat the first level by having one of each character. But on the second level I did the same but I lost...
I really enjoyed this twist on the tower defense genre, where you build up an army to advance and attack. Very cool concept!

Intresting concept with reversed TD game, but lack of graphics & gameplay cityations.

@custodi Curious what you mean by lack of graphics. Were there any images on the screen or was it just black? Also what is "gameplay cityations". Thank you for playing.
Neat idea with a lot of potential, there are many opportunities to improve player experience.
**1. Planning your attack** - It would be nice to see what I'm up against while choosing my army, currently we're kind of flying blind and hoping for the best, or having learned from multiple playthroughs. There's only a few levels, and it just adds more of the same towers. But if you were to expand the game, adding tower variety and increasing strategy (like needing robots to tank a certain tower while a monkey sneaks by), then we would need to see the battlefield as we're selecting our troops. I'm guessing you ran out of time in regards to adding more towers, levels, and balance, because you made a lot of troop types, but I can really just spam 1 type and win easily.
**2. Visual Feedback** - It's hard to know what is actually happening. The tower's shots are not visible, and we can't see the damage being done to our troops. A health bar, or some other form of visual feedback (color change?) from damage taken would be great.
**3. Clear Rules** - It took a few games to notice the heart icon on the top right was the win-indicator. Maybe instead, have some type of character sit at the end of trail and have our troops do damage to that character. Placing the heart over that character's head, and animating it's damage would help convey the goals. OR just move that heart right over the trail, or change it's icon to a checkered flag or something. On first glace I thought that was MY health indicator.
I really appreciate how each of the troops have animated walking frames. What's here is a good idea, it just needs a bit more time in the oven. Good job making your entry! Congrats!
Cool game, would be nice to have more creatures to summon

It is an idea with much potential. As others have commented, it just needs a little more work to be a good game. Good job!
Totally agreed, reverse TD is certainly and interesting idea that can be played with further. It would be very helpful to know what I'm up against, otherwise we have to guess what will work best. Some more polishing and there is a lot of potential!
Reverse TD is clever, but there's a lack of feedback for every action in the game. I think some sound effects would go along way to letting the player know exactly what's happening at every stage.

Cool idea, i think it lacks some polish for the UIs and effects. But the concept works. Some creatures had the same stats and i was able to play with only one type of creature, that could require a more complex design on how damage affect each creatures so you could adapt the creatures to the environment. Good work!
