Cool entry! I was surprised to see kinda of crafting mechanic in a puzzle platformer game. Also visuals and sounds give this game unusual interesting vibe. Keep it up!

Love the idea and realization

Theme matched a lot

Art and sound-design are cool

Overall game is good but the fact that we can't play fullscrean is sad, and also contorls are a bit sus

Unpolished my a**. Nice art lol, plays well.

tinker1175 2024-04-17 02:13

Visually loved the animations and designs! Loved the mix of summoning imps and creating potions to change the imps abilities. Also, the audio was done well! Overall, very much enjoyed this! The only thing I was confused about was one of the levels collision in the small hallway made it extremely difficult to get past and when I got the purple rock to move, the fire was still on cause I couldn't ricochet the imp to the lever.

erik-tate 2024-04-17 02:13

This was insanely dope. The art was great, the mechanics felt good, throwing imps is hilarious and crafting potions for game like this was really neat to see. The music and sound fit super well too. I don't really like that the arrow keys select potion ingredients (taking my hand off the mouse in a game that requires the mouse is a bit annoying) but otherwise I just wish there was more content because I could probably play this for hours. Great work!

greatot 2024-04-17 02:32

I actually enjoyed playing the game. Job well done to the team. The art, sound and gameplay was awesome. Although I had issues with the level with the fire, I'm guessing the lever is meant to put out the fire right? Cause I tried really hard and just couldn't get the imp to hit it, I could get the button to open the bridge, but just couldn't put out the fire, which is sad, because I originally intended to beat the game.

slickramen 2024-04-17 04:34

@greatot Thanks so much for your feedback! Some of the levels were a bit unpolished - but for that one you can use a regular imp without any potion effects to hit the lever and use the ricochet to hit the button.

slickramen 2024-04-17 04:35

@erik-tate Thank you for your feedback! About the arrow keys, this is a very valid critique - I intended originally to make mouse input work on the potion menu but sadly ran out of time to implement this. Thanks for your feedback once again!

slickramen 2024-04-17 04:36

@tinker1175 Thank you for your feedback! That level was a bit unpolished (the colliders were a bit funky) but I intended for you to use a regular imp to hit the lever and then a ricochet to hit the button.

this game art and feelings are awsome!!! love this game so much, but level design maybe need some optimization

thomz12 2024-04-18 13:12

Like others said, controls and level design could've used some love but otherwise this is a pretty solid entry! I enjoyed it. Very well done!

harmadillo 2024-04-18 17:14

The controls were a bit fiddly. The brewing took a long time for something I repeated fairly often. But overall a fun game to play. Animations look good and I liked the music.

bitlytic 2024-04-19 18:47

I really really like this game. Others have said it, but the controls could use some tweaking. An idea is maybe to have the last three potions you brewed in your hotbar then be able to press 1/2/3 to apply that potion, rather than having to open the brew menu every time.

Music was funky - Loved it

Art was scrungly - Loved it

Please do put out an update on itch post-jam, would love to play a more realized version of this

mateu 2024-04-19 18:49

There's a lot of really cool stuff here, as well as a lot of potential. I really like the core of the game, where you have to use the imps to get around. It was also really cool how they had a lot of different abilities for different situations. My biggest critique is of course that it was very unfinished. I thought I was gonna have to learn how to make a bunch of different potions but the game suddenly ended, which was a little sad. Other than that, I'd agree with some people that the controls could use some work. Great work on this game!

mooyett 2024-04-19 19:18

I had a great time, congrats. Nice art, the controls are very dynamic, cool mechanics. Keep it up!

nomus 2024-04-19 19:53

Pretty simple mechanics but well managed, the level design is cool too, the concept has a lot of potential and it fits the theme super well ! the animation of the character is so dope

konstantinreed 2024-04-19 20:20

Love this art, admiration! Interesting levels for such tight deadlines. Good job!

slickramen 2024-04-20 01:20

@bitlytic Thanks for your feedback! We'll definitely upload a finished version with all of the levels and items at some point!

slickramen 2024-04-20 01:20

@mateu Thanks for your feedback! We'll hopefully fix these issues with a finished version after the jam's ended!

slickramen 2024-04-20 01:21

@mooyett Thank you so much!

slickramen 2024-04-20 01:21

@nomus Glad you liked it! Thanks!

slickramen 2024-04-20 01:21

@konstantinreed Thank you!

pabloabraham 2024-04-20 05:59

Crafting potions and summoning imps to solve puzzles is a clever twist. Makes you think on your feet. Just smooth out those controls a bit and it'll be golden!

slickramen 2024-04-20 12:10

@pabloabraham Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it!

orangedragon 2024-04-21 15:05

Wow, this is really fun! I really like what you did here! My only complaint is that it utilizes both arrow keys and mouse in addition to WASD which is not really convenient. But for a game made within a tight timeframe it is brilliant! Good job!

slickramen 2024-04-22 02:19

@orangedragon Thank you for the feedback! A lot of people have mentioned the controls, and that's definitely something we'll look into for a more finished release!
