That Cow Game by nomand 2015-08-30T19:39:00
Great concept stage. Graphics are pretty solid. I wanted to jump around a little bit but nice job for your first Jam!

Great concept stage. Graphics are pretty solid. I wanted to jump around a little bit but nice job for your first Jam!
You can't kill me! I am Skeletor!!
Great job with the art and music! Love it!
-Loi LeMix
I love the art! The music is very fitting. Everything worked as they should. Navigating throughout the city for pizza delivery was kind of tough.
Sadly, I didn't deliver any pizzas and was rampaging the city instead. Sorry, it's just a habit, our game was training monsters to destroy buildings, etc. heh.
-Loi LeMix
This is a great concept, executed extremely well. I couldn't stop playing until I ate all of the ramen. The character is adorable, and the gibberish audio is perfect for the feel of the game. Well done.
Audio is missing some sound effects, else this could be a solid entry. Great art!
-Loi LeMix
I love this game. The Squish sound is so satisfying, and the difficulty ramp up is high enough to keep me interested. Most times games that use the "bunch of keys" mechanic end up as a button masher but this didn't feel that way at all. Nicely done all around.
--Barry
Very innovative story driven take on the theme. I love the minimalism ISO-perspective level layout. Very nice looking! The audio fits great and creating a very nice mood to the game.
Great job!
-Loi LeMix
When I played this I immediately thought of Realativity. Then I saw your description about the inspiration. Nice implementation of the full wrapping/tiling 3D environment. Wish there had been a little bit of danger/challenge outside of walking.
--Barry
Amazing soundtrack combining with some fine arts! You guys did a fantastic job with this entry! You should be proud! It was a lot of fun!
-Loi LeMix
"Ayo, Ima Shrek shits up!"
This was just some mindless fun. I've spent the most time playing this game than any I've rated so far. I loved the upgrades. My only gripe is the spawn and lack of enemies in some areas. Here I am with the best weapon upgrade and nothing to kill. Sad monster.
-Loi LeMix
Good use of particle effects. It was fun just "hulking" around climbing the building blocks. Plane explosion was a nice touch.
Good entry!
-Loi LeMix
This nails the theme. Nails it right into the wall adjacent to the neighbor's newborn's room at midnight. I was trying to do the least awful thing and still ended up ruining so many lives. Very very well done.
I enjoyed this quite a bit. I think this would do really well as a mobile/tablet game polished up. Too bad you weren't able to continue the Jam.
Excellent entry. The art style is great!
-Loi LeMix
Simply great. Entertaining, self-aware, funny, non-punishing. I shouldn't have started here, because the bar is set pretty high for others. Well done.
A lot of people have been harsh on the animations, but I really like them. They become a little mesmerizing as you play through the story lines and add to the mood. It's great to see the depth of the story(ies) as well. Many choice-based games in LD tend to be lacking real branches. This was well done.
Fun but kind of tough trying to be the nice guy. I guess I'm still not used to the controls (played 10x). I got fed up with getting shot first, so the monster in me came out. Sorry, Betty the Florist, no hard feelings.
-Loi LeMix
This is a fun concept. I wanted the movement to feel faster though. I also wasn't sure where the range on the camper's view was. The monser animations and sounds were great. I like that you added a tutorial level as well. Good job.
Pedal to the Metal!
A little difficult. The graphics are great. Gameplay was fun. Reminds me of the ol' GTA games.
Good job!
-Loi LeMix
Audio is great. That nice R&B record trip and loop. Dope! I dig it. Not much of gameplay but I can appreciate the effort.
Good job!
-Loi LeMix
The artwork and animation is AWESOME! The controls are rather tough to get used to at first but it works.
Great entry!
-Loi LeMix
Great visual and audio. This creates for a great mood!
-Loi LeMix
I like this a lot. Simple but engaging story. Enough for me to care about at least one character. The ending being "secret" until the end of the jam is also neat. Well done.
This is a great entry. Nessie is an under used character, and this was a great use. The death animations are hilarious, just spinning away like that. I also like the intro/outro sliding into and away from the game area. Lots of fun, awesome job.
--Barry
Simple but fun. I wish I could have caused more destruction with my other tentacles. That would have been epic!
Good job!
-Loi LeMix
ALL STARS ALL AROUND! This is easily my favorite entry from this Ludum Dare. I'm not a monster... I am fucking death! You guys did a hell of a job! The game is polish, finished and fun as fuck to play. This game deserves more play than some of the other ratchet titles on the itch.io page.
Stellar job, guys!
-Loi LeMix
Audio made kept the mood strong. Gameplay isn't there much. Great job, nonetheless!
-Loi LeMix
Great graphics and overall fun. A "happy monster" theme for a change. I could get the music to play?
Great Entry!
-Loi LeMix
Whelp, now I know what's it like to be a 17 year old girl... or not. Not sure how this ties in with the "monster" theme, but very polish and well done.
The music and mood is great!
-Loi LeMIx
Good game, you MONSTERS!
Yeah, I had fun. The controls were hard to get used to at first but once you got the hang of it, this was so much fun! This is a very innovative take on the theme. Good job guys! The AI is great and responsive. Great entry for such a short time.
-Loi LeMix
This is a pretty good concept and implementation of a tactics game. I only ever ran into hazmat enemies, so I couldn't test out the infection easily. I wanted less of a delay between actions.
--Barry
"Quit hitting yourself, quit hitting yourself"
So, this is a very innovative take on the theme. I love it. The repetition and the longevity of waiting for the hero kind of killed the fun. I laughed and enjoyed it.
Great entry!
-Loi Lemix
This game has a great mood, the visuals and audio make this game. Love the room for interpretation and the "soothing stress" of the game. Well done.
I like the concept, but I couldn't really tell if I was scaring anyone, or if the animation was bugged when I got too close. The animation for the monster is my favorite part of the game for sure.
That soundtrack is dope. I was zombifying to the bass and snares. Awesome. It's kind of hard to kill the kind-mansion folks. You should have made it easier to acquire coins for upgrades especially when this is a Jam's entry. This helps encouraging more replays, IMHO.
Great Job
-Loi LeMix
This is really fun. At first I thought the lack of a sprint and respawning at the beginning was going to have me quit quickly. However, I ended up playing through and attempting the boss several times. I eventually did give up, as the penalty of having to walk all the way back to the boss before immediately dying when I did the wrong thing was too much. The animations are great, and the lunge attack is very satisfying. Nice entry.
The animations and environment are really well done. I could just play this game as a stealth game having to roll around all the enemy attacks. My only criticism would be the click being attack. It's awkward on trackpads, and could easily be switched to the T key or something similar. Great job.
Pretty fun people destruction. Oddly satsifying. Love the contrast of the happy bright graphics with the fact that everything is just being obliterated. Well done.
Corner a coed and shank'd them, what a gratifying feeling! heh.
Good job with this entry. The music and sound effects are a great tie-in for the mood. The game's name is perfect.
-Loi LeMIx
I love the look of this game. The animations are great. The arcade style feel and difficulty curve is also very nice. Great entry.
One thing that might improve gameplay:
Allowing a keypress to control which tentacle you're controlling so you don't have the repetitive mouse movement back to the starting point. This also probably limits the difficulty scale.
I feel bad for throwing these cute animals and a baby at the ferocious plant, but I'm a monster, so whatever sorry you little $#!+$!
Nice art fun audio. Good job!
-Loi LeMix
Bloody Hell, mate!
Adding sound effects or music to this entry would have made it fantastic! The art is great and the attention to details is greatly appreciated. The creator must be a dog lover! hahaha I feel bad now, I'm going to go hug a cat... a bird... and a bunny. You monster!
-Loi LeMix
The sass on that BARD! Hahahhaa I love this entry! Stars all around. The bards' shitty music made me angry and I love it.
Great job, guys!
-Loi LeMix
Great effort on the art. The Audio is fantastic! We're both sharing the same concept of rhythm key-type of game. Not sure how this matches the theme but good job, nevertheless. Since we have the same key-layout I can see how people are finding it hard to find the rhythm while playing. The key should have been a-s-d-f. We're definitely redesigning our project before sending it off to our website.
As you said, there isn't a ton of gameplay here, but the controls feel good, and the kicks are pretty satisfying. Would be interested to see what more comes of it if you keep working on it.
Audio is great! Artwork is nice but gameplay lacks fun. I caught a diamond in my butt. =/
-Loi LeMix
This is a fun set of mechanics. It's an interesting trade-off on building enough buildings to score high on the round 2 but not so many that you just get murdered immediately. Well done.
Wow, as an artist for our project, the artwork and animation is great! Very unique style. The tentacles are unexpected and was a very welcome as part of the game mechanics. Not sure if you guys noticed but the level are not filled to the edge on the level art.
Great entry! Full of stars!
-Loi LeMix
This is a great entry. It took me a minute to figure out the mechanics, but once I did I really enjoyed the level layout and how this was executed. The worm is adorable, and the vocal SFX are wonderful. Great job.
This must be USA's secret naval weapon for the world's war! The game is very fun to play (I played the post-jam web version), so I'm assuming it's a lot more polished. Great job and the visual and the cool upgrade-mechanics. There is a bug however, I couldn't get some of the first few upgrades in regards to the tentacles attack to activate. I also wish there were more tentacles, say like, eight.
My only gripe is the music, not very consistent with the game play? But I'm sure some people will enjoy the relaxing bits while destroying ships.
Cheers,
-Loi LeMix
The control is kind of a hard to get get used to at first. Had some fun factor to it. Good job!
-Loi LeMix
Thank you for your extensive review on our game! Your issue must have been a Chrome related browser error. We haven't come across that issue yet in Safari, Firefox, and IE. We realized how clunky the control layouts were after submission and instead, should have went with A-S-D-F key-layout for player one and J-K-L-; for player two.
We will fix that along with music-beat synchronization, and a few other polishing touches before sending it out on our website or possible free app release.
Cheers,
-Loi LeMix
The graphics is one of the best I've seen so far! Great job with this! The game though lacks fun factor as it is just repetition. Great entry!
-Loi LeMix
Hahaha @ the pac-man ghost costume. Stars!
Art and music is a great combo for this game. If you like the 80's theme, come check out our entry!
Great entry!
-Loi LeMix
That was fun. Great mood setter. Upbeat and animated.
Although.... I do have a question, are those turds that I am dragging around?
-Loi LeMix
Mindless fun and I dig it!
Great entry!
Help??! No one can help you, PEASANT!
Cool combat system, perhaps a little more difficulty would make it more fun. As an artist, I think you guys could have used a couple more frames for the art but this was a fun, mindless hack and slash regardless. Good job, guys!
-Loi LeMix
Bow to me, peasants!
Fitting to the theme, the soundtrack is a little too "happy" for the mood of the overall game. The sound effects are great though.
This is pretty fun. The spin move on a long line of enemies is really satisfying. Good job.
Enjoyable and fun! Great art and take on the theme. Good job guys!
-Loi LeMix
This is an amazing entry. The art style and voice over is perfect. Awesome job.
This looks and plays nicely. Very difficult to get used to. The speed increases at a nice pace. I love the animations, and music. Well done, and interesting, challenging mechanic.
--Barry
Going for the gold!
Great artwork, the 4 mini game session was fun and well thought out. Hard t get used to what's going on at first but once you got the hang of it, pretty fun mini games.
Good entry!
Sorry, I poo'ed all over the place. heh.
Fun and very destructive.
-Loi LeMix
Glad everyone is having fun with it!
glerikud - We considered a single row layout, we ended up going with the WASD and arrows to make two player easier. This may very well have been a mistake.
dalbinblue - You are correct, it doesn't match up. We ran out of time toward the end to properly time-out and design the levels. We wanted more than just quarter-notes, and we wanted to match with the beat and drops of the songs. We just didn't get there :/
That was very satisfying. What a great entry. The art, the gameplay, the music. You guys did an awesome job!
-Loi LeMix.
PS don't lie, you're french.
This is really fun. The ramp up in difficulty seems about right for a highscore game like this, and the controls feel really good. The people sprites are also great, along with the explosion animations.
Great use of theme! Control and spawn point were slightly off but fun. Good job on the pixel art as well.
Me no good at this game! Me mad!
Great entry!
-Loi LeMix
Outstanding entry. Everything all of the animations are extremely smooth and satisfying. I love the personality of the sword, and feel really bad when I accidentally hit the gemstones (which is a lot). The music and sfx fit perfectly. The overall aesthetics are just wonderful. Great work.
Great game. The concept is pretty funny, and a great way to implement a pinball mechanic. I love the brain jar characters. They are cute, but I still want to smash them. One issue is that on windows, the shift keys quickly activate "sticky keys" which breaks the experience.
This is pretty fun! The controls are a bit touchy, so it's easy to die on accident. That adds to the tension, and nervousness of the battle, but also the frustration. The music was a bit grating on me after a few minutes, I think it would need to be a bit in the lower register so it feels more in the background. The bumps of the players felt good.
This was a fun entry. Very frustrating to play with a keyboard I think. I could never get a good line on the enemies, so I was unable to complete it :(. The best strategy seemed to be to stand still and just standing attack them when they dive in.
Fun art style and great start out music! You guys should have used it throughout the levels, it would have improved the mood.
This game perfectly describes how I felt jamming throughout last weekend. Eating everything I see, felt fat (rounded) and then feel bad afterwards.
- Loi LeMix
Yes this is a game. I had a good time making the tree grow. I felt good about giving the tree weirdo limbs. Sometimes I was not able to shoot my tree particles the way I wanted, but it didn't matter. I wish I could export the tree. Tweet it or something.
5/5/5/5/5/5/5 This is great. Infuriating but great. Super polished, fun, challenging game. One of the best entries. Feels complete, and ready to go. A+++++ would smash keyboard again.
Fun game. I wish there was an indicator for the delay when you miss/get hit so you know when you can actually attack again. The ramp up speed seems about right. The audio was really nice. Good job.
This game feels really complete. Multiple endings, easy replay, and the custom theme song seals the deal. The animations are great, and the throttled controls make it more challenging than it seems to eat all the stuff. Great use of humor, well done!
What the cluck!? Have you guys listened to that awesome theme song? That rap-verse had me weak. hahahahah I lub it. But, let's not take away from the mechanics, that was super fun! Star upon stars upon stars!
Good job, guys!
-Loi LeMix
What a fantastic paint style! The artworks are great! The electronic soundtrack was a nice touch, I was grooving when the bass drop midway, so nice! I love the idea of pressing both buttons to go down and not pressing anything slowly brings up the ship. Genius.
I feel sorry for the sole-guy that I smashed into in the beginning... I hope he's okay.
-LeMix
The art is fantastic! I'd wish you guys had more time to add additional gameplay to compliment the art.
Thanks to this game, I'm going to go grab a drink, put on my astronaut suit and shoot my teddy bear. I think he's been sneak dissin' lately.
-LeMix
Awesome job! It looks, sounds, and feels really nice. On top of that there is a ton of cool stuff happening underneath for allt he subtle effects. I give it 3 out of 2 scoops.
Your artwork is garbage and I lub it!! The vector-style is sharp and polish! The music is splendid, it fills me with glee as I traveled your wavy-@$$ ocean collecting trash. The coding that pushed for a solid, working GUI radar and the eyes movement is so dope! Dope like the Pope dropping rhymes about Hope. Word.
Stars all around! It feels so polished and whole! Good job, team!
This game has inspired me to take out the trash. K, thanks.
-Loi LeMix
Peach Pie Productions is at again! I got a colony going now. Them aliens are super vicious!
-LeMix
This is a pretty fun puzzler. I love the movement of the "character". It felt a lot like a lemmings game, but you were all of the lemmings in one. The audio was a little bit grating after a while, as it looped pretty quickly. It was also pretty difficult to read some of the seed types in the menu due to the bright colors with white text. Overall a great fun entry, that could be expanded into a much larger game.
This was not what we expected, and it was a great surprise. It's rare I play a "physical" video game and have so much fun. We really think you should put this on a mobile device, and set it up at a show/gallery/sidewalk whatever and provide some Gladiator jousting sticks. Imagine DDR mats for each player, and you have to jump....that would be awesome. Great job. good game.
lawl
5/5 humor
1/5 theme, only one button worked.
:)
It's going to be hard to beat this concept. I love how absurd and exaggerated the facial expressions are. The 2nd leg of the game is my favorite. The control prompts are perfect too. Awesome job!
Yo, I was just jamming to that first track! Music is great! The pixel art is very as well as the script! Great job!
Now, I must go find a cat to pet!
-Loi LeMix
Great pixel graphics and cool gameplay for being your first jam! Keep up the good job!
Thanks, I'm gonna go eat a peach now.
-LeMix
Keep up the work! THis has some really great elements, and you could take this very far. I really want to sling around space junk and make them break apart.
I kept blowing up my engines, but that was fun in itself!
Man, this game sucks! For all right reason! ha!
The control was kind of confusing, I'd thought you were attempting a 2-button control theme given the premise of the settings. I was wrong. Allowing a walking mechanism with the arrows would have provided a more interactive experience, I think.
Good job.
-LeMix
I had a lot of fun playing this game. The bunnies overrun super fast. I was not able to find a winning strategy. THat wizard is eviler than he says. The opening story was great, and I wanted more of it. I did really want a counter of the # of bunnies so I could know how fast I was losing. ALso, a nice crunchy sound when the bunnies get smashed would have been satifying. Awesome entry.
This is a great concept. I loved mechanic. The puzzles could have been a bit tougher towards the end as they were a little predictable, but for 72 hours, I can't say too much bad about them. I hope you keep working on this and expand it to a full game. Great entry.
Yoooo who did the clucking? Give that dude a chicken leg, he deserves it! The artwork is nicely done, effective. That soundtrack is great for the buildup.
I think I found a bug, the song kept looping on top of one another, but then it was just nasty phat beats over and over. I'm not complaining...
I'm gonna go grab some KFC now, thanks.
-LeMix
Very polished entry! Very impressive that you were able to get in so much. The battle system was nice, though it was tough to catch on to the attack patterns of enemies before it was too late. Awesome job.
That was fun! I think this game could have benefited a lot had you added an upbeat electronic soundtrack to it! The upgrading element is a nice touch.
Good job!
-LeMix
This definitely conveys that feeling of intensity that many of us had with the board game. There are so many nice little polish things in this game that make it feel great. The "you don't have to hold..." message is so simple, but immediately makes me feel like the game wants me to succeed. (then immediately crushes you :)) Great work.
Awesome job Rise and Shine! The controls are super smooth, and the food "radar" is really well implemented.
--David Kroakie
What a beautiful game! It is so polished and well executed! You guys did a fantastic job!
I bet it feels nice to have several levels fleshed out, PLUS a boss level! Awesome!
Great job!
This is pretty fun. It is tense enough to keep you interested, and challenging enough to keep you retrying. Sometimes you can't see the air pickups so you run out of air without realizing you missed them. I think I made it 36.42 seconds, but had to get lucky to do so. I'm not very good at this game.
Simple fun mechanic. The difficulty scale is a little bit rough. The gunshot is a bit abrasive, but works well enough. Not sure how many rounds it's possible to survive. Funny concept.
"Whoo, Whoo, Whoo" Fantastic artwork! There isn't much with gameplay but still fun!
Good job!
You have an upgrade system! Balling!!! Very cool little air-shooter! I had a bug with getting stuck in slow-down mode throughout my 14-life loops. Thanks for the fun!
Also, thanks for playing our game! The "dinosaur" painting is an Easter-Egg commencing Roaring Cat Games first LD Jam, Sneaky Nessie.
OMG those stupid ghosts! I want to punch them all in their stupid pale faces!! The "brrrr" punching made me laugh so hard. Nicely done!
Great soundtrack and mood!! For one time and one time only, I enjoyed eating those people.
-Art Cat
Look at all of those doggos!
Nice concept and graphics!
-Art Cat
Wow, that was simple and fun, and there's a high score list! OMG! This is top 5 easily!!
I think this is innovative, but a bit challenging. Especially when the keys changes every time you respawn/die. Music would create a better overall mood. The death sound effect is kind of funny.
Great job! I always wanted to be a modern vacuum, and this game fulfilled that fantasy!
Some background music would have bee nice.
Solid implementation of the mechanic. The graphics and sfx could be more encouraging. The Shaking of the word prompt box is nice.
Watch out Super Mario Bros! There's a new platformer on the way with spikey-shelled turtles on hotwheels!
Fun and frustrating at the same time! I thoroughly enjoyed this.
-Art Cat
This game has to be in the top 3 overall! Perfectly executed! Stars all around!
You guys are the best at these type of fast-pace games! I remember playing your grim-reaper-time-sheet game last LD jam and it is fantastic! What's your studio's name? I'd like support your commercial project!
-Art Cat
Great story telling and art! It's amazing that all of this was made by one person! Stars everywhere!
PS this game made my eyes leaked.
Every single time you nail it. Not only is this a brilliant idea, but the visuals and controls are perfect. The movement feels super satisfying, the transition between "chat" and "game" is seamless, and it has "virtually endless" content. Another game showing the rest of us how it's done. Great work.
Fun little entry! Has that nostalgic hand-held feel to it. I like the difficulty progression. Much fun!
Great job with this! Simple but effective and theme direct!
It was very enjoyable to use test my memories, which is on low after a weekend of Ludum Dare.
-Art Cat
The controls are a bit frustrating. I expect to only get one grid space per tap, but it seems it is looking if the key is down so sometimes I get a double grid step if the key is held down slightly longer, or pressed at the edge of a frame. This caused me to run into lava when I didn't tell the character to move.
The concept is cool, and would be interesting if more players were in while I was playing.
The mechanic is pretty fun. Pretty hectic. I wish I could see the whole room in one screen, makes it feel like I randomly lose when I couldn't see a corner and don't know if it is safe or not. Good entry.
This is a really fun concept. It took me a minute to realize I had to pickup the breadcrumbs (didn't read the instructions obviously :)). Getting the feet to stomp the spiders is really satisfying. Challenging enough keep playing, and not too devastating when you get squished so it doesn't feel terrible to start again. Very nice entry.
Oooh those art are so shiny! Simple and fun mechanics, it must feels nice to have an upgrade system implemented in the small amount of time! Great job, guys!
Hahahhaaha, bros! Great job all around! Music, art and mechanics. I had a great laugh, this game was such a pleasure to play. *Umphhh*
This is a really fun entry. At first I thought it was too difficult, but the allowing of retrying the waves and keeping some money is enough to keep you from completely giving up. I played through the end. The laser beams seem less powerful than you want them to be since the cooldown leaves you defenseless. Great entry.
The character animation for walking was nice, adn the level seemed decently thought out. However, the controls were very frustrating, and by the time I got the bazooka, there was nothing left to blow up. I really wanted a super satisfying bazooka shot when I got it, but it just felt like a blue version of the first gun :(. SFX are pretty solid.
The roommates are frustrated, but I am just sitting over here laughing. This is an odd little sim, but I enjoyed leading them into chaos. mehehehe
Wow! What a great style combo! 2D animation on 3D space! Very nice. You had the fighting combos! Shoryuken!
Great job!
Solllllid entry.
This is the most on theme game we've played. Really interesting mechanic, and approach to difficulty. Also, the leaderboard settings reset, was a really cool idea for a high score game.
The UI at the beginning was a little tough to read. There was a lot of overlays, overlaying each other making it hard to read.
Fantastic work.
This is fantastic. At first, I was having a blast just spamming punches, THEN i got it. THEN I realized how bad I am at it lol.
- Great concept - Great Mechanic - Great setting/characters
- Very difficult to grasp - Sometimes you just can't punch because your gloves are all overlapping - I could not figure out how to properly dodge, no matter how hard I tried (I'm pretty bad at punchout anyway)
Nice work!, I had funnnn.
- Good game loop - Visuals are well made and fitting - SFX are interesting, but not overdone - Controls feel pretty tight for the type of game
- Really difficult - Unclear about the power ups on first play through (what do they do? is this fuel or what?) - The most fun thing in the game (hitting a pedestrian) is punishing to the player
I had fun, and this is a well-made entry.
Really fun game! It looks great, plays well, provides a decent challenge, without overwhelming you, and is really polished for a jam game. Very good work. I really like having the different attacks. It held off the game from getting too repetitive before you knockout bluessom.
this is a great puzzle game. I could not make the moves to get past level 10, I just can't jump left slightly enough to get back on the sliding box. Tried waaaay too many times :)
Mechanic is solid, and the puzzles are well laid out. Little hard to grasp some of the bigger ones at first, but resetting is quick, so it's not too bad. Nice job.
This is fun, and frustrating. I love that you can continue after you stop scoring and see everything go haywire. Great mechanic, ramps up nicely, and is deceptively difficult once it gets going. Nice work!
Thanks everyone for playing, and the feedback!
@bartosz We came to the concept as, the more branches you spawn, the worse your planning gets, since you have to focus on adding branches and not necessarily planning their path. We understand that it might not come through so well.
Thank you again for everyone sharing those trees and feedback. It's a very pleasant surprise.
For@badly-drawn-rod and a few others that have asked, we are planning a mobile release for the game. We took a week to recover and checkout a bunch of other LD entries, and now we are back to work brainstorming what needs fixing/adding before we package up a mobile version. Much of which is driven by all of your all's responses.
Thanks again! And keep sharing those beautiful cherry blossoms!
We had a lot of fun paying off the cops with the stores' money. I think we became the problem, the more money we had, the worse we were as humans.
- Simple controls - Easy mechanic to understand - Aesthic was nice - Difficulty progression felt right
- Graphics were repetive, so easy to get lost sometimes - Getting stuck in a corner felt really bad during a good run - Wish it had SFX/Music
This was a fun game. More people need to see it.
The Two Scoops do it again! This game is fantastic. Dragging around all those arms is a blast. The game is fun whether I'm doing poorly, or progressing along nicely. This has so much potential, and hopefully you all continue working on this one. I feel like this could be one of those "you know PullPals started as a ludumDare game, and now look at it" stories.
Stellar job. :baby::baby::baby::baby::baby:
Pretty fun game. It's reallly hard. I couldn't find a way to disperse the brown birds, so when they came in, it was pretty much just game over. It would be great to have some kind of indicator of what is coming up on either side (like a tetris preview).
Solid game though. Loops well, plays quick, and looks/sounds great.
Great puzzles, great platforming, solid sfx/music.
This is a fantastic entry.
- Great puzzles that weren't too brain melting - Jumping felt really good - Mechanic is solid - Quick reset loop - All of the components fit well together.
- Wish it had more levels - BGM was a little repetitive over time
Not much bad to say, it was a fun well-made entry.
- Looks great - Audio matches appropriately - Reindeer and snowman are great models
- Controsl are sluggish - Kept bugging through the house and out to the yard - too difficult to quickly - Stress isn't rated in candy canes ( :) this isn't a serious con, sorry)
Not bad. I can see where this idea coudl be successful. It just ramped up too hard for us too quickly, and the collisions put us in the stables too often.
I love this game. The controls are simple, the visuals and audio are perfect, and there's tons of content. As you play you find all kinds of surprising challenges. This is really well made. The different enemies are all cute, and kind of funny in their own way. Bumping birds into the christmas light looking things, while sad, is also unexpected and hilarious with the sfx.
You should be very proud of this game.
This concept is great. I felt bad for all of the cats my character couldn't pull from the water.
It gets really hectic, and with the music it adds an odd sadness to the game, knowing some of those cats just aren't going to make it.
The controls are a little bit difficult to grasp, as sometimes I wanted to steer, but could only break-up cat fights. Some cats couldn't be pulled from the water as well, usually on the front edge of the raft.
The raft damage and steering view are very well done. This is great jam work!
This is pretty fun. It's difficult to figure out what's going on at first, but after a while I was pirouetting with tanks across town. I wish I could have seen the total spins I made at times rather than just getting several 360 spins in a row, but it's understandable.
The wonky physics fit with the SFX and music very well. It was hard to tell exactly what would cause me to explode, but eventually you figure out what DOESN't make you explode.
Very hard to just drive normally. But that's not the point! Fun game, good work.
Fun game.
Typing for CatFood.
- Hectic - challenging - Nice leaderboard feature
- Really hard really fast - Felt like just mashing the keyboard - Feel bad for all the starving cats :cat-laughing:
Pretty solid entry. Love the visual style, and the concept.
:feet::feet::feet:
This was a lot of fun. I felt bad running all my friends into trees, but also loved how they all fell down and tumbled.
- Simple mechanic - Kept wanting to try for a better run - Funny characters - Solid concept
- Collisions were wonky sometimes - Hard to tell where your character was after a while - Performance problems with > 8 friends
Really fun entry. I would play this on mobile with a few tweaks.
Super interesting concept. I want to see where this goes from here. I can see all kinds of additions that affect how the crosstalk volumes.
Here are a couple of 100% silent layouts we got:

Really like how the relationships are subtle, and seem to be based on several different factors.
Great Entry.
Fun shooter! All the explosion particles were really satisfying. The balance of the weapons I found were fantastic. The pistols felt too weak until you got two, which makes sense, and makes it feel great when you do pick up 2.
The machine gun feels pretty "normal". The shotgun speed is tricky with one, and feels fantastic with 2.
It was hard to tell sometiems when I actually got hit, so I died when I didn't expect sometimes.
The initial UI was a little be cluttered in the web version, so it took a minute to figure out how to play.
Overall a nice job, and it was a fun game!
I love this. The mechanic combination is reallly great. This feels like it hits the theme multiple ways.
- The more you eat, the worse it gets to your calorie burning goal, and impact on the ground. - The more you avoid the worse your potential body slammin' area is for calorie burning - The more you calorie burn, the more you need to eat!! (I don't know that thats'a mechanic, but it's a rule in life, so I'm adding it)
This is really polished, and complete.
- The Sfx are appropriate - The mechanic is well implemented and feels good - The gameloop is complete, and quick
Nice job!
This is a pretty fantastic entry. The art is wonderful. I love the animations on the totems, and the characters. The Sun animations when you get hit are a really nice touch too. It's very difficult, and I could not survive with the 3rd character beyond a couple of jumps, but you could definitely get better at this over time, which adds to the replayability.
The music is a little bit repetitive, which fits the game, but may overemphasize the "just jump!" aspect. The SFX are wonderful though.
Overall great job!
