LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Sun Station by RARoadkill 2015-12-16T02:06:00

I liked your interpretation of the two-button theme. It was hard to remember how to do everything at some points (which is definitely unique for a two button game!) Good job! The graphics looked great!

Although, I did notice shadows on the sun, which, frankly, shouldn't happen. I'm pretty sure there is a way that you can disable shadows for one object in Unity. Sorry. I'm a nitpicker ;)

Good job!

99 Steps by George 2015-12-22T04:03:00

Wow! Something about this game is just amazing! I can picture it on an iPhone as a game to compete with your friends in. Simple, but phenomenal!

P.S. I like the jumping sound a lot

BINDAFFIX by the31 2016-01-03T18:40:00

The bouncing was really funny. Nice graphics as well. The gameplay itself wasn't that fun in my opinion, but great job! I think because of the restriction of two button controls the gameplay suffered, but I think it would be great if you built upon it by adding more buttons/controls.

Mystic Sapling by atrodo 2016-01-02T01:25:00

I had some weird issues with controls in the web browser, and I also didn't really get what to do. The soul graphics also looked kinda weird. Good job though!

How to Build a Lighthouse by Mnemusyne 2015-12-19T13:03:00

Great game! Simple concept, but addicting. 8/10 IGN

Capling by Xgor 2015-12-21T00:48:00

Good job! I think it's a bit easy when using both mouse buttons at the same time. I recommend restricting it to one at a time.

Feed the Cat by Polona 2015-12-15T00:46:00

I liked the idea, but it was very difficult (especially in the web player). I think you totally should have had nine lives though! :P

Give and Take by Move127 2015-12-16T02:18:00

The game was confusing, but it was the kind of confusing that makes you want to figure out what's going on. Good job! I have wanted to make a game similar to this in the past, so I'm glad you uploaded your source. Thanks, and good job!

Golden Goose by Delicious Code 2015-12-19T13:07:00

Great game. It took me a while to figure out exactly what to do, but it was fun when I got it. In my opinion, the controls could be better as you need two hands on the keyboard to play and you can't access the mouse that way.

GrowForce by Ping78 2015-12-15T18:27:00

awesome!

Brain Splitter by Janacek 2015-12-15T00:50:00

I liked the idea for the two button implementation, but it was a VERY hard game. Like, I couldn't even get past 600 or so. Despite this, I thought the art and sound were both great!

Ep by Blagino 2015-12-15T00:10:00

Your game was fun and I enjoyed playing it. I think it's a quite unique concept. I got a high score of 28!

Growtye by Goutye 2015-12-15T18:22:00

I like the look of the game. I was a little confused at the beginning but I caught on.

Garden Grow by justinooncx 2015-12-15T00:39:00

Great game! The movement felt a little bit clunky, but I played it for a good 15 minutes despite that. I think this game has a great chance of being a winner! Nice job!

P.S.
The graphics were nice

SEED by sputnik 2015-12-15T18:20:00

Great job! I loved the game! Best puzzle game from the jam that I've played so far.

The Super Bros (that are not Brothers!) by Xinelu 2015-12-16T01:47:00

I really like the idea of the game, but it seems a bit impractical in its current state. Some people have suggested things like gates and rails to make it easier, and I would agree with them. Good job!

What Shall We Do With All This Spacejunk?! by LostTrainDude 2016-01-03T18:44:00

Fun game. I don't think it was too dark at all, and I really liked the audio. I don't really get the purpose of using any block other than the big one, however.

SupRunner by agilejoshua 2016-01-03T18:49:00

Such a great idea! Why program a loss condition when you can use Windows for it. The game itself is simple but it is very innovative.

Ortogonalis by pjimmy 2015-12-19T13:17:00

Good job! It took a few minutes to figure out, but I got it. It was a lot of fun! My top score was 2694!

Santa Rush by Dohxis 2016-01-03T18:50:00

When I click the web link all I get is a black screen. :/ Looks from the comments like it's a problem with my computer but I'm not sure.

Over Grown by The Pelranthean 2015-12-15T00:56:00

I liked the core concept of the gameplay most when playing this game. Nice job!

Grown with the Flow by Skywilly 2015-12-14T10:50:00

It's hard to collect the pollen. Small hitboxes I guess... Despite this it only took me a couple of seconds to figure out that you can kind of spam left mouse and hit them. I got to the night level, but I think I paid the price of my wrist! I really liked both the music and the game's idea, but because of the hitboxes it was hard to play.

Mr. Dungeon Aase by Jordan 2015-12-14T10:38:00

The graphics look good. I had difficulty shooting most of the time and quickly grew tired of trying to figure it out. Nice job, though!

Brobots by brainstorm 2015-12-15T18:26:00

The colors of the game are harsh on me sometimes, but otherwise I enjoyed the game!

The Artifact by nunesbarbosa 2015-12-14T11:21:00

Good job! I played this through the web player on this site. I liked your graphics and the changing buttons. Your audio was also good. Good luck!

The Flower by Sublustris 2015-12-22T14:43:00

Cool game. I like the graphics. Overall I think it was a bit of a steep learning curve.

Bicephalisnake by tphx 2015-12-16T01:56:00

I like the concept, but the game became difficult quickly. I would have the snake go increase speed more slowly. Good job nonetheless!

BloatBlaster by the-arrival 2015-12-16T01:53:00

Great job! I found pretty much every aspect of the game great! The graphics stand out among other games, and I like the idea of the "inflatable baddies!"

Biorhythm by prymidion 2015-12-14T11:13:00

Nice job! I found it hard to coordinate when to click. I was a little confused on how that worked, but I figured it out. I like the story you have behind the game, but the game itself wasn't that fun. To be honest, you play the game for the story (but I liked the story a lot!). Nice job!

From the Deep by scorched 2016-01-02T01:31:00

I dont really like the jump controls, but I get why they are the way they are. I liked the graphics and audio, and the gameplay, but it got old pretty quickly for me. Good job!

Can't Jump by x92rwzb 2015-12-22T04:10:00

Nice idea, but the game was frustrating to play. I think the first level should be a little easier to entice people to continue playing.

Egggs by simon.parzer 2015-12-15T00:54:00

That was great! I don't know why, but I kept playing over and over! I loved seeing all of the different things hatch out of the egg! My favorite was probably the pirate chicken. Nice job!

SpaceSnake by rplnt 2015-12-14T11:28:00

I liked the game! Despite not being that original, the graphics were great. The fluid controls also made the game a lot more fun. Good job!

Spindulum by yuigoto 2016-01-03T15:20:00

This is probably the best all around game that I've seen so far. The game was great and addicting, and the audio really sold the deal. Amazing job!

A failed experiment by K1llercake 2015-12-14T10:40:00

Error 404. Would love to play but I don't even see it on your profile. (Did you forget to set the game to public?)

No Birds In This Game by Grahhhhh 2015-12-16T02:13:00

Awesome! This is one of the funniest games I've seen so far. Please make more like this in the future!

Speed by Niphram 2015-12-14T11:07:00

I clicked when I saw the first screenshot. I liked the basis for the game, however it was hard to handle the bus -- like really hard. Other than that it was fun! I got frustrated a couple of times cause I got going too fast!

Dizzy Skies by ploy 2015-12-19T13:10:00

Cool idea! I got kind of disoriented because of how the plane rotated. I think that a still background and rotating plane would have been better. Good job!

Yggshroom by Ghen 2015-12-22T04:06:00

Simple little game. I enjoyed playing it. There wasn't much to it but it was fun for a few minutes and really felt complete.

Space Beards by Gjarble 2016-01-02T01:23:00

Cool concept, but the gameplay itself is kind of dull. The movement is hard to control, but I like how the eyes follow you around and I like how you thought of the shaping idea with the outline.

liniums by 2pae 2015-12-16T02:00:00

The game felt really fast. Don't know if you limited the tick count or not, but if not, that's something to do in the future. Otherwise, I liked it! Nice job!

Nebular Worm by jcwelgemoed 2015-12-14T10:56:00

Great idea! The snake controls were fluid (and the first thing I noticed about the game). That made playing a lot more fun on its own. I liked the graphics, the concept, and the gameplay. To be honest I didn't like the sound, but the it doesn't take away from the fun. This really feels like a completed game! Kudos!

Forest Drift by Piotrek 2016-01-03T18:58:00

I like it, but a lot of time you dont even get to see the forest grow because it is so hard. Maybe change the camera zoom or the way the car moves to make it a bit easier?

Mr. Brian by muit 2015-12-14T11:16:00

Good job! I was left wanting more at the end, which is a testament to how good it is!

Falling and dying by Wakefield 2016-01-03T19:01:00

cool idea. It reminds me of terraria, using the umbrella to avoid monsters and stuff. It's execution could have been better, but I found myself enjoying playing it. I noticed that sometimes the collisions didn't really work right, and I found it very frustrating to go into a dead end with no way of getting out. I would omit those completely and just have a more challenging, linear level. Good job!

Scrap Yard Racing by lastnerd 2015-12-15T00:29:00

Very fun! Big, download, however. Still, very impressive for 8 hours!

Elenesski's Two Bar by Elenesski 2015-12-15T00:23:00

Cool game. Honestly, it became tedious to listen using the space bar. I just wanted to try to get the rhythm without listening for fakes first.

Hello Darkness by jcmonkey 2015-12-14T04:09:00

Nice game! I like the lighting effect. It makes the game feel a little bit scary. The only two bad things I found about this game were that sometimes I would die to an enemy when I seemingly didn't touch it, and that the music was a little loud and became repetitive quickly. Good job!

Plumber Panic by Mr.Chippy 2015-12-15T00:36:00

I like the theme, but the gameplay gets boring quickly. The sounds were unbearable to me. Good job, though!

Pyromaniac 3 -- 2 by _benhumphries 2015-12-14T02:52:00

There shouldn't be an extra character at the beginning (assuming you're talking about the dash). That's part of my username I think.

Pyromaniac 3 -- 2 by _benhumphries 2015-12-16T03:06:00

I'm not sure why the web version's flame didn't move, but I'll look into it. I don't have a build specifically for O/S, so I can't do much for you right now if you can't run exe's. If I can reproduce the web version's glitch and fix it I'll let you know.

SPACE DILEMMA by argowen 2015-12-16T01:50:00

Good job, but the game is very hard. I like the graphics and sound (I think it's cool that it's all your voice!) I would find myself getting frustrated because enemies would spawn right next to you and then kill you without having time to react. I'd suggest making the screen FOV higher.

Astronaut Runner by CristianBatista 2015-12-22T04:16:00

Cool game. The asteroid model was great but some of the other graphics didn't really match and created an uneven tone to the whole thing.

Boxage 263 by swellbastion 2015-12-14T04:15:00

I liked the graphical effect when you die (I know it well at this point). I was a little confused when I started, so maybe in your next rendition include more tutorial. Also, I read that you love making extremely hard levels, and I can confirm that they are extremely hard: so much so that I couldn't get past the first one. Despite this I enjoyed the game. It feels like a game that could be popular on the App Store. Good work!

Strafe Showdown by siege 2015-12-14T04:28:00

I liked how you implemented the two-button theme. I liked trying all of the different characters. I played with myself on local (I can imagine how this could be fun with a friend). Nice job!

Wasteful Revenge by Sourtrance 2015-12-22T04:13:00

That was quite a humorous game. Good job! I liked the food mini gun.

Fleet Command by kaynank 2015-12-15T00:26:00

I like the game play feature of ramming into other ships! Good game overall!

U.G.O by aamatniekss 2015-12-14T11:01:00

My two favorite things about this game that stood out immediately were the art and the little intro sequence. In my opinion the funny little cutscene in the beginning adds a lot to the game overall (I'm going to have to start doing that). Nice job!

Belly Smash by Drunkain 2015-12-15T00:44:00

Great job! I have probably enjoyed this game the most out of the 20 or so I have already played. I was looking forward to this game when I saw your post about it on Saturday.

Journey for the light by rosden shadow 2015-12-15T00:15:00

The art and sound weren't the best, but despite this, I really enjoyed the gameplay. It's addicting! I like how you included different types of enemies; it allowed me to develop strategies for beating the game.

Two buttons to save the city ! by LavWa 2016-01-05T01:54:00

A lot of fun!. Only thing is that the further you get in, the more buttons you use, so it doesn't really stick to the theme. I'd be interested in knowing how you rendered your art in unity, it looks amazing! Good job!

Growing Weed by MorganLeFay 2015-12-15T00:33:00

I like the theme :D It would be cool to know exactly how the game works. The numbers seemed to change randomly. I couldn't really figure out what was going on. Still fun!

Pig Game by knason 2015-12-22T04:21:00

Good integration of Unity's physics engine for the shooting mechanic. I love the Wilhelm scream!

Astro Cat Saga by Astro Cat 2015-12-19T12:58:00

Cool game. I sometimes glitched through the sides of the square, and I found it annoying to spawn into a level and immediately crash into mine. Good job nonetheless!

The Climbers by NirabazGAMES 2016-01-02T01:28:00

The controls and mechanics are a little hard to grasp, I'm not really sure what to do. More guidance from the beginning would probably help with that. I thought the graphics were nice, but the game would run slowly sometimes (on my pretty beefy computer).

Colonize by WeirdMind 2015-12-15T00:25:00

Nice game! It had a lot of depth, which I think is awesome, but it was confusing sometimes.

Fight Boý by ssodelta 2015-12-19T13:04:00

Great use of the two button controls theme!

GURU by TomenLuca 2016-01-03T18:54:00

It's really fun and I like the idea. I appreciate the hard work on the little details like the sound effects and animated backgrounds. The only thing I can really complain about it is that it takes forever to pick up. The instructions are VERY long and hard to get through. I think that maybe the first fight should have been either a lot easier or it should have guided you through everything you can do (or both). Great job!

Shaving Day : The Shave After Tomorrow by gloim 2015-12-16T02:08:00

I like the idea, but it gets boring quickly. Someone in the comments suggested a port to mobile devices and I completely agree. This is the kind of thing that you could give out for free with ads in it and make a ton of money (like cookie clicker). Good job!

Dude On Fire by voca 2015-12-19T13:18:00

The art is really nice and I like the idea but unfortunately I feel like the game is kind of ruined because of the FOV. It seems more up to chance than skill when playing this game. Good job nonetheless!

Growth Industries by quill18 2015-12-21T00:51:00

Nice job on the game. It looks great, but it's not really my type of game.

Squ by Wan 2015-12-23T18:19:00

This was one of the most polished games I've seen so far. I think it would have been better if you had more time to add some more animations, but other than that the game was great. I played the whole thing! The only thing I noticed that really needed fixing was that every once in a while there were two music loops playing at the same time. (Specifically in the last cutscene and main menu after finishing the game). Good job!

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

A Walk To The Finish Line by jk5000 2017-12-05T19:11:29Z

I love the puzzles, I can tell a lot of work has gone into this! Good job!

Into the Slumber by FernandaBatista 2017-12-05T01:25:40Z

This game is awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed it and played all the way through! I'm going to give you my favorite piece of feedback I've ever received: I wish it was longer!

I really like the idea and the graphics look very nice as well.

The Last Stand at Epsilon Tauri B by geeitsomelaldy 2017-12-04T16:02:26Z

This was a lot of fun! I really like the upgrade system. The controls screen was a bit confusing, but I figured it out pretty quickly. I discovered that if you upgrade all of the stats and sit still, holding down Z, you can go pretty far. Great job!

Prinsen Gulden by King Kujito 2017-12-04T03:47:47Z

The graphics look good and I enjoyed the game but at times I felt the movement was getting in the way of the fun. The 2.5D look is really cool but it's pretty hard to play with, especially because of weird acceleration and movement glitches. I'm not sure about the Windows build, I only played on WebGL.

Great job!

Calorie by Terryd98 2017-12-04T03:25:21Z

The idea for this game is great! The movement could be a little more fluid but the level design works very well. A couple animations playing at the wrong time here and there, but no major glitches or bugs. It was a lot of fun!

Dragon's Hoard by ViKingGames 2017-12-04T03:15:28Z

This is a quaint little game! I really like the artwork and the sound (although it was so loud when I started it up that I almost screamed). I think the most obvious thing that needs work here is the balancing of coins vs. powerups. I played for a little while and only ever could save up enough coins to buy the cheapest one. With a little tweaking this would be awesome!

unipsychle by niksg 2017-12-04T04:01:45Z

Great idea! definitely has a QWOP-like feel. I think I get how you're supposed to move forward, but it seemed a little sensitive to me. Couldn't really get going anywhere for very long.

Kalyuka by soyrandom 2017-12-05T19:29:23Z

Great game! I think with a little balancing it could go a long way. Holding space seems pretty easy, but on the other hand, the tentacles are kinda ridiculous at some points. I think if you added some indicator so there was more skill in avoiding them it would work a lot better. Good job!

Cantrex by snick 2017-12-04T03:58:13Z

This is great! Going with the simpler idea definitely worked for you! I laughed out loud when a pig got hit by a missile. Totally unexpected.

Horny Bunny by Thomas FUentes 2017-12-05T19:09:02Z

This game is hilarious! Great job!

Under the cocanut tree by cirrem 2017-12-04T03:55:18Z

Yep, had the same problem, Itch.io link isn't working. After downloading through Google Drive, this game is actually a ton of fun! The graphics are deceptive. You should definitely advertise the "fruit menu" a little more, it helped me understand the game after a minute of purposefully running into the fruit trying to collect it. If I had some criticism to give, it would be to introduce the player to the game step by step. I, unfortunately, am a bad example of how you can't trust the player to read the description every time. Great job!

Overdose by Kashif 2017-12-04T12:16:46Z

This is great! I love the little things that make the game more immersive like the subtle screen shake. The newspaper headline at the end also made me laugh. Good job!

Quantum's Rick by cortexdeveloper 2017-12-05T02:43:37Z

This is great! I love the use of the plot point from the Rick and Morty episode and the art is great! It's very hard, for me at least! Good job!

ViKing of Norway by NamInUz 2017-12-05T02:39:51Z

The art here is great! I wandered around for a while and had fun talking to all of the different people, I love the subtle humor in your responses. Unfortunately, though, I can't for the life of me figure out how to collect wood.

Heavy Gold by Poorwill 2017-12-04T03:43:26Z

This is a neat little game! I really really enjoy the way the sword swings. If there's one thing to come out of this game, it's that. To me, the looting didn't really seem to influence much. I always died before I could notice a difference in movement due to the weight. Great execution for a great idea, just needs some touching up!

P.S. Your death screen says the same thing as mine does! "You have perished"

Snake Charmer by fakeyou 2017-12-04T19:12:19Z

This is such a great idea! Executed very nicely as well! Amazing job!

Deadline by Sholf 2017-12-04T12:40:29Z

That pencil swing is so satisfying! Great job!

Get in Shape by Prostone 2017-12-05T01:29:43Z

This game has great replay-ability! I can definitely see myself spending a ton of time improving my high score (I'll probably come back later when I don't have work to do). Great job!

Retro Rocket Run! by gwolf86 2017-12-05T19:16:09Z

I love the custom font and I love the concept! Unfortunately, as you noted, the WebGL build was pretty laggy. I think if you find a way to optimize the massive amount of coins on the screen it would probably work a lot better. Great job!

Ethereal by _benhumphries 2017-12-04T12:36:06Z

@Kashif Thanks for the feedback!

If I had to guess, one way to do it would be to use a point light that is a child of the player. That way it would follow the player around. To increase/decrease the radius, maybe scale it on x and z? Of course, you could always use a lightmap and a RenderTexture (similar to what I did in C++) but that might be a little overkill for an actual engine that supports lights.

Ethereal by _benhumphries 2017-12-05T01:10:40Z

Thanks everyone for the great feedback! I'm really happy that my game is being received well. Just a few post-delirious comments on the game:

1. I think in hindsight some of the exits to the levels are annoyingly hard to find. If I could, I'd go back and add a light next to every door. 2. At one point, the ghosts moved about 2 times faster than they do now, but I felt that the game became more about luck than a quick reaction, so I decreased it. I think this was the right choice. 3. The scrolling background! Ugh! I couldn't bring myself to take the easy (and very hacky) way out of this problem, so I just left it. It annoys me too, but hopefully it doesn't get too in the way of the fun! 4. I've shown a few people this game and in person, the physical jolt when you run into a ghost is amazing to me. I think it's awesome that I made something that has that great of an effect!

**Future commenters, I'm curious, what level did you stop on? Did you skip any?**

Ethereal by _benhumphries 2017-12-05T20:01:29Z

@gamedevzach Yes, there is a third type, first featured in Level 9. They are basically the opposite of the white ghosts, they follow you when they are in the dark, and fall asleep in the light. I think they add some good conflict to the game in the later levels.

Robo Tomb by Xacur 2017-12-05T19:19:18Z

I really like the challenge of babysitting all of the gnomes. I also really like the art style and the depth of the game itself (which you don't see a lot in Ludum Dare entries). Great job!

Christmas Present by Jons games 2017-12-04T12:30:52Z

This is a very interesting idea, but I think it needs a little more work. As Kieran said above, the theme here is a little lacking, and after the first level I seemed to be stuck? Or maybe I missed something? I'm not sure if you were supposed to be able to resize the window, but that also made it a lot easier. Good job though!

Pickup by Funnboi 2017-12-04T04:06:49Z

This is a lot of fun! I love how the colors change the levels. With a little more time this could be great! Maybe with a story like Thomas is Alone, definitely reminds me of that game. Minimalist graphics work well!

Smack`Em! by mess110 2017-12-04T03:29:13Z

The graphics and audio were both great here! Very impressive! Made for a great take on a classic game.

LD sim by jokerden 2017-12-05T02:35:32Z

It's simple but very satisfying. I must admit that I got a little angry when I lost all of my ideas like 3 times in a row!

AntiBucket by wsKilljoy 2017-12-04T12:42:14Z

Great job! I really like that art and the theme works well!

Triangle Command by backyard-dev 2017-12-04T12:33:33Z

This is great for 8 hours! I like the minimalist style but think that the character movement could use a little work. It's a little frustrating not to be able to get in front of a pellet before you reach it at the slowest speed.

Herding Cats on Rollerskates by Tezza48 2017-12-04T12:39:25Z

I read a similar idea to this on reddit and wished I had thought of it! I had a lot of fun with it, great job! Great audio as well!

Gophergeddon by Ham and Swiss 2017-12-04T03:36:51Z

This is definitely a weird one! It took me a while to figure out what to do (and I'm still not sure I completely understand) but good job!

P.S. Great name!

BURROWED TIME by endesga 2017-12-04T03:49:55Z

Great job! I really like the idea of using light as the thing that makes the game easier (along the lines of what my game does as well). The graphics and the gameplay are both amazing, but what really shines here is the concept. The game is great because of the idea.

This is awesome! great job! and awesome use of the theme!

LD46 — Keep it alive

3-Eyes by Rialgar 2020-04-30T01:05:18Z

Wow, what a satisfying game to play. The sound and feedback upon hits really goes a long way. Nothing too complicated, but a perfect fit for the jam and fun!

That guy by baylej 2020-04-29T20:21:40Z

The art and sound effects are really nice. Got nervous when I saw all those enemies but button mashing pretty much does the job. Maybe instead of a cooldown there could be some kind of small skill requirement minigame to get your ability back? (Like Undertale)

Keep Away by infinitycore 2020-04-29T20:26:06Z

The feet on the keep absolutely crack me up. This is actually a really fun concept! Enjoyed it thoroughly although I think the controls could be more intuitive.

Keep me alive by dick-claus 2020-04-29T20:17:56Z

Not sure what the processor looking tile is for, but I liked the music and sounds a lot! Super satisfying to pick up all of the apples on the LD46 screen.

My Pet Tulsi by Flash22 2020-04-29T20:40:17Z

This was a nice, simple little concept that was oddly addicting. Could use some polish but was definitely a lot of fun!

Keep it burning by Leon Oost 2020-04-29T20:53:47Z

I like it! Very similar to some other keep the fire alive ideas, but the beavers are a nice touch!

My Beloved Monster by ayushka 2020-04-30T01:01:10Z

Nice job! I love the small but impactful text animations. It really adds a lot to the experience.

Keep it burning by Unreality 2020-04-29T20:57:20Z

Nice job! I like the art and the fire effect very much. Definitely feels more homey and deep than other similar games I've played. There were some clipping issues with the trees and player, and the light wouldn't always look right, but overall was nice.

The main criticism is just that it gets a little boring after a while, but great job!

Keep it Burning by SmexyCow 2020-04-29T20:47:52Z

Nice job! I think this game could use some UI cause it was hard to tell when I was about to die. Nice and simple though!

Keep it burning ! by Xentiie 2020-04-29T20:51:41Z

I like the little detail of the separate camera to always see the fire. If you don't know already, when you die and restart, the player can't move.

Get's a little boring after a while but it's a nice concept and looks good!

Farmgevity by Zalop 2020-04-29T20:33:42Z

This is a pretty good game! I think the bread should definitely give the family more nourishment and the mouse targeting is buggy but other than that I really enjoyed it! So fun balancing doing everything at once. Art was great too.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Gun Dude by blaster391 2022-10-03T19:04:57Z

This game has some great visuals, animations, and feel to reinforce the gameplay. Great job. I wish I had a mouse, as it was tough to play with a trackpad, but it was nonetheless great

Tiler by _benhumphries 2022-10-03T19:12:47Z

@cameron-borthwick The left grid is the puzzle, and you solve it on the right. When you fail, it shows you the solution on the left.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Super Bass Racing by isaaclopinho 2018-04-25T16:26:08Z

This is super fun! I think my favorite part about the game may be the art -- it's nostalgic and it fits very well. Great use of the theme!

Duality by freso 2018-04-26T00:06:50Z

I really liked how both sides, the astronaut and the spaceship could collect powerups/hearts to help each other. I played the game by myself and found it fun, but the astronaut's movement could definitely use some improvement -- it felt very slippery to me (but I understand, I've tried and failed to make good 2d character controllers in Unity). Great job!

Deck Cutters: Hearth of the Cards by Steve Sparkes 2018-04-25T16:04:05Z

This very impressive for a compo game! I love the art style, but I feel like the lighting hinders the voxel look at a distance. Great job!

danmaku economics by yellowlime 2018-04-26T00:09:57Z

Looks like your link is private -- when you get it fixed, @ message me and I'll come back and give the game a try!

Music Make Me Shoot My Gun by AHS 2018-04-25T14:36:45Z

This game was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed the music, but I had difficulty catching on in the beginning. Once I got in rhythm (see what I did there), I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fish in the Barrel by Gaminbru 2018-04-26T00:14:43Z

I really enjoy the mechanic of having to pick up fish after you've shot them. With different fish travelling at different speed, there's some opportunity for strategy which you don't see a lot in these kinds of games (other than just dodging the enemies). Good job!

Pong Beat by Reivert 2018-04-25T14:44:53Z

This is great and is very similar to my idea. It seems very polished and the audio is great! This could honestly be a popular iOS app

Flight Deck by Kovakomes 2018-04-25T01:08:42Z

It also took some time for me to figure out what was going on, put I picked it up quick and really enjoyed it! I love the subtle humor in some of the cards!

Great story! Definitely unique!

Type n' Jump by Richard N Silva 2018-04-25T14:43:09Z

You guys earned the 5 stars. This is the best game I've seen yet for this jam. I'm completely jealous that I didn't think of your idea.

P.S. the graphics are great!

Rappy Bird by dannywalker 2018-04-25T14:10:57Z

This is awesome! I wish I had thought of this for my game!

Dungeon Typist by the_noffs 2018-04-26T00:24:16Z

This is really cool! I think I got down 5 or 6 levels. Is this procedural generation? Also, it may seem kinda shallow, but the typing animation is top notch! I'm not sure how easy or hard it was to do that, but it looks amazing!
